Arrived to a very loud and noisy bar to find out our table was next to the door, across from the bar and next to noisy drinkers. We waited 15 mins for a drink although the drinkers at the bar where served ahead of our drinks order.....we knew then we had made a mistake! The food was excellent we both cleared our plate but atmosphere, service and attention to detail was lacking. Would not return in the immediate future.

A few years ago we went here with the family and decided to return as we were close by on holiday in Airbnb. Previously, the menu you was reasonably priced, portion sizes were generous and coffee was amazing. It looks like the cafe has been refreshed decoratively and it seemed to be more pricey a sandwich £8 - £9! It was disappointing that despite the high prices portion sizes were not overly generous but the coffee was appalling- no coffee taste and tepid water. The food provided does not meet the prices charged, which is such a shame because this was a great place previously maybe it’s changed ownership.

Was horrible experience start to finish! We were a large group and had pre-ordered. Pros Chicken biryani Chicken lollipop Sea bass Sides are big could share between two Waitresses were polite Nice selection of drinks Cons Service was terrible! Took an hour (pre-order) before starters even came out. Took half an hour for drinks to come after ordering Food was awful! Starter: Papad and chutney - popadom tasted weird and came with a table spoon of sauces (raita, chutney and another hit one) Seekah Kebab - taste and texture was horrible! Chilli cheese toast - disgusting Mains: Butter chicken tasted like defrosted chicken cubes in a bowl of Heinz tomato soup! Fish soup - looked like breaded deep fried fish in a bowl of soup. Was disgusting. Sides: Masala chips came out freezing cold Nothing came out together and some people were waiting for sides to come out for a while after their mail came out meaning it got cold. Some dishes never even arrived at the table Really poor management We tried to complain to the manager a few times but he was avoiding the table. When it came to the bill (which was initially over £700) we said we weren’t paying for the food a) we didn’t received b) complained about and didn’t eat! The atmosphere was poor as we constantly had to ask “how much longer” or complain about so many things. Lots of hungry people waiting to be fed at a table booked at 8pm - you can imagine how many hangry people there were! Such a shame as the venue is ideal as is the actual restaurant itself! Anyway, I would avoid until they change the menu and management! Another friend went the night after me and got the butter chicken and said exactly the same about it tasting like a tin of soup with chicken in it! I’ve added a picture of the butter chicken 🫣

One of the best meals that I’ve ever had, and by a country mile the best meal I’ve had in a pub. We were staying at the Pig down the road and in every single respect the Bridge Arms was leagues ahead. The venison dumpling was superb, and the lamb rack was exquisitely cooked. My wife’s dishes were also first class, and the puddings we shared finished everything off perfectly (have the chocolate delice). The wine list is excellent and fairly priced (including a great range of wines by the glass). The dining room is spacious and well furnished, and the service is generous, thoughtful and attentive. We live over an hour away but will make the trip back for the rare pleasure of eating here again.

Nice for a beer, but the food wasn’t great at all … the pizza in particular was probably the worst “restaurant“ pizza I ever had, with (what tasted like) a shop bought crust, totally devoid of any seasoning, and a somewhat stale aftertaste. Have a drink and save your appetite for somewhere else!

This is not a place to eat if you have a vegan diet. I had a lovely catch-up and tea with oat milk with some old friends, but the staff seemed phased when I said ‘Vegan’. It was like stepping back in time, with the waitress having to go and ask the chef what was available. I had a small portion of beans on a single slice of toast. This could be a lovely cafe if you eat meat and dairy, but best to avoid if you are plant based.

Spotting it on the internet purely for its location, I popped into this cafe in Bridge before meeting friends for a walk in this historic village. I was seeking coffee, cake and a loo. This cheerful cafe supplied all three! Delicious home-made lemon cake and a latte coffee at a special offer price of just £5. Attractive decor and an interesting selection of children's toys for sale to browse. Other customers were coming in for bacon sandwiches. Seating outside to enjoy the sunshine. Great location Great cafe!
