It was an okay experience, I’ve received more luxury for better prices at other hotels. It wasn’t a bad experience, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, however, there was just a lack of attention to detail, I found. I booked an executive suite and asked for it to be located on a higher floor, but instead they gave me one located on the ground floor, since the hotel is centrally located, the road noise and hustle and bustle of the busy city street right outside the window made it hard to sleep at night (I’m a sensitive sleeper). The website said there was a car park but there is not, there are two nearby multi story car parks you can pay and park in (it cost me £40 to park for 3 days) and then walk to the hotel from, the nearest one is the Victoria street car park which is a 2 minute walk, just right around the corner from the main entrance. However, the concierge was very kind and took a trolley into the car park for me and brought my luggage in as I had quite a few bags. I was told over the phone that the hotel would be able to steam press my suit for me once I arrived as I had a reservation at a 2 Michelin star restaurant that evening for dinner, however, once I got to the hotel they told me they don’t have an in-house dry cleaning service, it’s all done outside via third party and they are closed on the weekend. Thankfully there was an iron and ironing board in the room so I was able to iron my shirt at least, but my suit went unpressed for the night.. Overall it was an okay stay, I believe comic con was happening at the time and quite a few celebrities who were attending the event were also staying at the hotel, so it was cool to spot a few here and there, but I didn’t go there for celebs ( I didn’t know about the celebs, one of the staff informed me), I went there for the amenities and the luxury, and unfortunately I found it lacking in both, but this is apparently the best hotel in Liverpool and also the only 5 star hotel in Liverpool, so I suppose this is the best the city has to offer. So there is a lack of alternatives if you are used to the 5 star stays/ treatment. I think next time I might just book a more luxurious stay slightly outside the city and drive in for whatever event I need to. We’ll see how it goes.

I can highly recommend this place for the food and drink. Having eaten in many pubs this place is a hidden gem the food is excellent and the service is second to none. You will struggle to beat the prices for the food and the drink. The atmosphere is so relaxing with proper background music. Just try it . Highly recommend. Regards from an experienced diner

Beautifully done out place. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by friendly and polite staff who made us feel welcomed instantly. We even got to pick where we sat as 2 people dinding which isn't always offered to us when eating out. There is no doubt that the food was 5 star, the fish melted in our mouths and the vegetables were cooked beautifully with lovely chargrilled finish, the cocktails were also high quality and delicious. We'll definitely be eating here again. Thankyou!

A welcoming and lovely atmosphere greeted me as I dined with others to celebrate a birthday. The staff made sure everyone was comfortable and engaged with the party while efficiently dealing with the food and drink orders. I had the 8oz ribeye steak with a delicious peppercorn sauce. The steak was wonderful. Friendly and attentive staff made the dining experience exceptional.
