The best restaurants in Bramhall South Stockport North West

I ordered an afternoon tea from Plumcake today and it was the best I have ever had. Kath had made fresh tarts and scones that morning and they were amazing. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. The attention to detail was so special.

We used to love coming here as the service is fantastic from Collette & Paula the food went down hill very fast so we stopped going but loved the girls here so we returned yesterday Collette was fantastic as always but the food was disgusting I had burger & chips which was a cheap frozen burnt burger no bacon no dirty chips I couldn’t eat it my husband ordered the Fish & Chips large it was minuscule and the fish was a rectangular frozen fish with 10 super greasy chips. The kitchen is filthy & smells of old burnt fat which we could all taste. AVOID this restaurant it’s over priced and disgusting!

Excellent friendly service, children more than welcome. Quality of food very good, looking forward to going again soon

Friendly atmosphere. Great coffee and cake. Lawrence makes us feel very welcome and the staff are brilliant. They also sell fresh baked artisan bread.

Our first time going here tonight, we went for the early bird menu after I finished work. Lots of choice. Food was lovely and fresh and hot. Ali and Imran were great really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We will be back.

Every visit to Long Bar feels like stepping into my own living room. The warmth of the staff, their personal touch, and the way they know us by name create such a welcoming atmosphere. It’s rare to find a place that makes you feel so at home. Now, let’s talk about the food—because Chef Dave is truly outstanding. I don’t usually do “best,” but Dave? He cooks a Sunday roast that is nothing short of exceptional. And it’s not just the roast—every dish I’ve had here has been fantastic. You can tell there’s real passion behind every plate. I come here regularly, whether it’s for a meal, a drink with friends, or—let’s be honest—sometimes more than one drink! It’s always a great experience. This is the first time I’ve taken the time to write a review, not because I didn’t want to, but because I never felt the need—Long Bar speaks for itself. But I do think it’s important to acknowledge the people who put passion into what they do, and Chef Dave and the whole team here deserve all the recognition. As a proud Bramhall local and a small business owner myself, I believe in supporting our village’s businesses. Places like Long Bar make all the difference in creating a welcoming community. If you haven’t been yet, you absolutely should. Highly recommended!

No small prints on the menu. Order the set menu for two meals. Then i was told at the bar I have to sit inside to eat the meal as the deal is for not outside. I ask what is the reason for this on the phone next day, the reason is because they are short staffed. Then the phone rang again from the aviator explaining no the staff member did not stay they are short staffed. All my phone calls are recorded. The staff on my phone recordings said they are short staff and can't walk a extra 2 meters outside to bring your food. Pure laziness and bad attitude on the phone. Won't be bringing my friends or family here. My first visit as well with family. We all left after one drink.

We went on Saturday for early bird meal. I was disappointed with the new surroundings. We were taken to the bottom end where the tables for 2 were. I asked if we could sit somewhere else but waiter said that all tables were booked. I sat facing the fish tank. All the waiters were standing round in this area. Poppadoms weren't fresh and the rest of the meal was just OK. Rice and nan bread portions were small .No atmosphere and we could have sat elsewhere as only a family of 4 came in making 3 tables taken. In all very disappointing.

Lovely meal served by Olivia friendly, professional, we will come back. Had a meal only did not stay.

Went in for dinner and ordered chicken satay. Chicken arrived and was raw ! Starter was replaced with an apology but when the bill arrived it wasn't adjusted for their mistake and still a 10% service charge was added. I will never eat here again because of this, really poor customer service.

I went to Subway with my husband for lunch. The woman who served us prepared my husband’s order with a very rude and impatient attitude, as if she was being forced to make the food. I live in Btamhall , but this was the first and definitely the last time I’ll visit this Subway location. The lettuce and onions were not fresh at all; both looked dark and wilted.👎🏻
