Disappointing Experience – Poor Customer Service
I had a disappointing experience at Angelo's Italian Restaurant recently. After enjoying a nice meal, my party and I were stopped at the door by staff as we were leaving and asked if we had paid the bill. It was embarrassing and awkward, especially since we had already paid.
I immediately sent a polite email to the restaurant last Wednesday explaining the situation and hoping for some clarification or a simple apology for the mix-up. However, it's now been nearly a week, and I have yet to receive any response. The lack of communication and failure to address the issue is really frustrating and has left a negative impression on what was otherwise an enjoyable dining experience.
I believe that timely customer service is just as important as great food, and unfortunately, Angelo's has not demonstrated that. I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve their customer service moving forward.
Nice people and good cooking wasted on meat eaters. This restaurant doesn’t care about vegetarians, less still at vegans. They’ve had the same three dishes for an eternity. Is there a vegetarian choice more tired and rusted than spinach and ricotta cannelloni? Vegetarians make up at least 10% of your customer base and at least 25% of the tables that you serve. Can do better.
Hotel and complex been refurbished so we thought we have a look and we be back.
Walked in and greeted the restaurant has lovely outdoor seating area so we took advantage of the sun.
Menu for lunch vert good . We had tomato soup home maid and very lovely hot roll and lovely butter . The chicken sandwich had lovely bloomer bread and was filled with lovely chicken and lemon mayo served with salad crisps. My friend had hot chicken stuffing sandwich on ciabatta . 2 very large glasses of wine was very pleasant experience and prices very reasonable. I had little look around the new spa very nice and again great offers . The hotel room looked very nice will be back for Sunday lunch and spa offer.
Visited for lunch, only one other table occupied, so no excuses for being busy.
Service very poor and slow and food even worse.
Wine was not very nice.
Pizza was absolutely cremated, and did not have all the toppings on that it should have done.
Asked for sandwich on brown bread, when it arrived it was on white bread. The explanation was that they didn't have any brown??.......please inform me of this before you bring it as I could then have the opportunity to change my order.
No atmosphere and very cold.
There were 2 fires lit at either end of the pub, but these were both right next to the Two large TV'S with Darts matches blaring out,
Will never be returning.

Just had food delivered and there's a false eyelash in my freaking food!! Called up and the girl on the phone couldn't care less. They're under new management again.
Ordered salt and pepper chicken - the chicken is like rubber, I've binned that straight away. I was half enjoying chips with curry sauce when I noticed a false eyelash in it. Won't be coming back
Quality fresh Haddock cooked to order and a decent size light crispy batter
Really good quality homemade steak pudding definitely one of the top 3 shops in the area !
Owner was friendly enough but the food was terrible. Samosas were just the sort you'd buy frozen. The biriyani was bland and overcooked... Probably just reheated in the microwave. The naan was flavourless. Just awful food. So disappointed as I remember curries in the North West generally being ace, but this was really poor. I make better at home.
