Cafe Bar in Preston

Called in Saturday lunchtime for the first time . Enjoyed everything about the place . Friendly staff .a bit of something for everyone on the menu . Everything we ordered was good . Can’t really fault the place. Will definitely call again and try something else of the menu . Recommend a visit if your in the area .

Visited with 4 friends ( 1x gluten free) on a Saturday lunch time. Two of the non gluten friends visited 2 weeks earlier and asked about gluten free options knowing that the four of us (including the gf friend) would be eating there in the next 2 weeks. They were assured GF guests would be catered for. So me being the gluten free customer opted for Cajun chicken main meal served with crispy potato wedges & salad. The waiter (an elderly gentleman) came to take our order and I asked politely if the Cajun chicken dish was gluten free - to which he replied, ‘Why’. To say I was slightly taken aback was an understatement. I explained that sometimes spices (on the chicken) or coatings on the potatoes may contain gluten containing ingredients. The waiter didn’t seem to be interested or more importantly didn’t offer to check with the chef. In the end I opted for a gluten free pizza which was very tasty. My other 3 friends’ food was very tasty and the service was swift and staff polite. My overall experience as a gluten free diner is one of disappointment at this particular establishment. There is a sign on the wall as you enter informing you to tell staff of any food intolerances. In this particular instance and in my personal opinion, the waiter couldn’t be bothered. I did tip but on reflection I wish I hadn’t now. I hope the next customer who has a gluten intolerance, is served by a more experienced, knowledgeable member of staff - otherwise please don’t bother. Go somewhere else!

Asked for prawn linguine received a spicy tomato penne pasta with 4 tiny as prawns, my partners food was literally dripping with sauce the only saving grace was the garlic bread, service was ok

It’s been many years since I have been here but we booked it last minute today for 6 people as the restaurant we had originally booked rang to cancel our booking but our loss is also our gain!!! We had the tapas and all the dishes were so tasty and really good portions compared to other tapas restaurant’s we have been to. The restaurant is very quirky and has a lovely Mediterranean feel to it you also have the option to eat outside. The service was absolutely superb well done to all the lovely friendly staff the fab waitress even lent my friend her glasses to read the menu Please give this place a try if you haven’t been before / for a while, it’s superb, loved the sangria x We will definitely be returning!!! Went to the cafe bar for lunch with my daughter and granddaughter such beautiful food and the staff are so friendly I would highly recommend this place

First time visit, didn't know what to expect, lovely decor very different! Food very tasty and not badly priced, 2 drinks, 2 starters 2 main 1 Garlic Bread and 2 desserts £75ish. Service was little slow, but staff are friendly. Definitely will return!

Not been for 3 years and decided to treat hubby for his birthday. What has happened ? Waiter was inept not understanding what we wanted - trying to rush us. Eventually our drinks arrived filled with ice so they could save on drink - I said I didn’t ask for ice and all I got was a blank expresssion. Charged us for lemonade out of a 2 litre bottle, the same price for Pepsi - don’t bother they weaken them down. Starters arrived - burnt garlic bread - too hot to eat mushrooms and chicken - like literally burn your mouth off food to be followed by you finished ? This was literally 10 minutes after starters being brought to table. Mains - pizza was okay - margarita you cannot get that wrong - penne creole more like penne onion dish - more onions in than chicken and the carbonara was a very SMALL portion - oh and when you serve food don’t lean over the table to pass food, walk around to place it. The only decent person was the young lady who showed us to our seat - polite and friendly. Would not go again - £70 in sub standard food and a waiter who needs training

What an amazing place this is, we hadn’t booked and it was a Saturday night but they still fit us in no problem. We ordered within minutes of arriving and food cam quick, hot and delicious. The staff where absolutely lovely and we felt very looked after. I will definitely return again.

Could not recommend enough! We went for my partners birthday (large group) and were greeted by friendly and knowledgable staff who were happy to make recommendations. The food was excellent and fantastic portion sizes, the chef (Adam) ensured everything was perfect and made a point of popping out to see how everything was. Everyone loved their meals and we left with smiles all round. It's great to see independent businesses thriving and would 100% tell anyone looking for some home cooked Mediterranean delights to give this place a go!

Absolute hidden gem I would highly recommend staff very friendly, food amazing definitely go for houlumi cubes (starter) drizzled with honey and the Greek salad, Greek gyros easily shared 2 people, will definitely return in sumner as bi folding doors out to courtyard hopefully will have some Greek music.

I have gone to the Cafe bar a few times, but won't be going back. Why? Well the food has been ok, to be honest I have never really had a problem with the food, but whoever decided to put paying customers on little multi coloured metal chairs is an absolute imbecile. YOU ARE DRIVING CUSTOMERS AWAY! I am not paying good money to be sat on what looks like a naughty chair and implement of torture. Really really uncomfortable and makes you feel like the owners just do not care about their customers. It gives the place a 'we are a joke' feel and they can stick it where the Sun don't shine. Don't believe me? Go visit them and be astounded by what they think is acceptable seating. NEVER AGAIN CAFE BAR, YOU CAN STUFF YER METAL CHAIRS WHERE THE SUN DON'T SHINE. You just know the manager/owners will read this and do absolutely nothing about it. I think it is an insult to expect adults to sit on tiny metal chairs.

Lovely staff, environment and most of all lovely food in terms of choice and taste. The halloumi cubes are to die for as is the pitta and the Greek salad. Husband loves the pizzas. Definitely our goto happy lunch place.

Came for lunch as a one off as it was pay day and i had an hour. AFood was fantastic as usual. Quite a lot so I couldn't finish, did ask for my garlic bread to be a starter and it came with the main but its nota deal breaker. Had a bolognese and it was better than I'd hoped. After had a cheesecake dessert and simply omfg it was soooo good I could have had a second. Quality ice cream and cake ♥️. If I could make any changes to the restaurant is maybe some guest WiFi as there is no or very little signal which I got a little bored as I was on my own and couldn't do a bit of browsing in between waiting. Otherwise fantastic visit

We weren't 100% about this place when we discovered it tucked away off the main street but our choice to give it a go was the best we could have made.The location, as many have said, makes you forget you're in the heart of Preston and if it's sunny, has a definite continental feel to it. Set that aside though and think of the food - absolutely stunning!!I've been wined and dined around the world in posh places and super restaurants (at others' expense of course) and the bottom line is that I left here thinking that I had possibly had my best meal ever - and in Preston!!Food was fantastic, staff amazing and the chef actually cares about how customers feel. They'll remember me as the guy who asked for Whitebait on the fish pizza and they not only accommodated this but created the dish for me.If you want a great meal in Preston, get under the arch and into the Cafe Bar and you won't be disappointed!!Thanks to all the team here - I'll be back for my signature dish soon :)

We first ate at the Cafe Bar in November 2019 at lunchtime and were quite impressed with the quality of the food and the price. We returned last week and sadly felt that the quality of the food had gone down and the prices have shot up. They even got the Paella wrong we asked for Valencian Paella and got Seafood Paella. The Paella had way to much Saffron or likely Tumeric in it and left a strong after-taste. The Chorizo starter I had didn't taste like any Chorizo I had ever had before and was swimming in oil, again, not pleasant and left a strong after-taste. The floor looked like it had not been deep cleaned for a long time and knives and forks handled without gloves and simply dumped in the middle of the table with small paper knapkins didn't impress either in these Covid times. I doubt we will return which is sad as we enjoyed our first visit in 2019.

Before the virus we used to visit this restaurant quite regularly and quite often had lasagne when you got a full dish for your money. My family and I went back on August 15th for a wedding anniversary meal and order lasagne BIG DISAPPOINTMENT the portion was 50 % of what it was before the pandemic as we complained the waiter offered us an extra portion ( which was declined ) but the point being we should have a proper sized portion to start with. This is the only place I know of where you get asquare of lasagne and no chips or salad or garlic bread included in the price. The price of the lasagne has only gone up about 50 pence but for that you get 50% less food. Will not be returning.

We were a party of 15 spending £400 in total yet 1 of our party was charged £2 for 2 small packets of garlic mayo! No bread to accompany starters. Baked feta starter (£5.95) consisted of 1 slice of feta on a few tomatoes. Small details but this has put me off future visits.

Went to cafe bar for family celebration. Cannot praise the place enough. Staff brilliant. Service 1st class. Food fantastic. It's the first time I've been here would definitly go again

Ive always walked past this place and from the street doesn’t look much - but go under the arch and it’s fabulous! Great outdoor seating space - felt like we were abroad! Spacious inside too! And more importantly- food was delicious! We got 2 greek salads and a garlic bread to share - lovely! A little gem in the centre of Preston! X

I’ve never had a bad meal from here. Visited today and it was exceptional. We had meze plate and gyros (huge portion.) we stay in Greece annually and today you we felt like we were there. Thankyou

Food was good but that’s about it Waitress just dropped food on our table never said what the item was, drinks had flys in although they did replace it only thing good about this place was the food I wouldn’t rush back unless the waiters/waitresses would smile

A lovely gentleman Tommy , Scottish I think couldn’t be more helpful, explained on arrival that time was against us, he promptly sat us, recommended what to have and we were looked after extremely well, very professional , thoroughly recommended.

We had a family lunch there today. The staff were all welcoming, friendly, efficient and attentive. We had tapas, pizzas, mains and paella. All of it was as good as I’ve had in any Mediterranean styled restaurant. All freshly cooked, hot and delicious. We will certainly go back there. Highly recommended.

We had a family dinner here on Friday after not having been here for a while. As always, we got a warm welcome from the staff at Cafe Bar and had a great meal. Restaurant was nicely busy but food still came quickly and tasted fresh and authentic. We all had pizzas and pastas with a few starters and it was all spot on. We’ve never had a bad meal here and will be back again soon when we’re next passing. Thanks guys

Visited for lunch. Hasn’t booked a table in advance but recommend to do so as they literally turned away around 20 people whilst we were dining. We had the tapas. The atmosphere is cute and reminds you of being on holiday - even in the rain! - also had the chocolate fudge cake and ice cream which tasted delicious. Would visit again at a different timeOf day or when it re opens properly to sit inside and try more of the dishes. Staff friendly and welcoming.

I've been coming to The Cafe Bar for years and it never dissapoints, due to covid rules it was outdoor dining only but the seating area in the courtyard is lovely and you literally forget you're in the middle of the city centre. We ordered veg lasagna, lamb kebab, garlic mushrooms and a garlic bread with cheese, we both enjoyed our food it was piping hot and served quickly by the lovely attentive staff. At £45 the bill was more than reasonable and that included a pint of larger and a soft drink. Really looking forward to coming back again, weather permitting we would probably choose to dine outside again even when the restaurant is fully open.

Always fantastic food very much Covid aware and seated away from others. Highly recommend they make you feel so welcome and good is tasty and hot - meatballs are excellent

We have been cafe bar many times over the years and still love going! The food is lovely, the staff always ensure we have drinks and that our food is ok. They appreciate their customers and it’s lovely to feel you aren’t just a number when you are there. The prices are reasonable, wine is lovely and good food portions. We will continue to visit for many years yet we are sure! Best restaurant in Preston for us

We visited on Tuesday 25th August for tea, food was excellent with good sized portions. Service was also great with nothing too much trouble. Nothing more to say other than we're going back soon. Parking is free on winkley Square after 6

The choice of food on the menu is second to none. The welcoming friendly service always has me happy to come back time after time. The wine is always lovely, the price is so reasonable and they really appreciate their customers! Such a happy place to eat, I always leave feeling full and satisfied!! Lots of choice for veggie customers too. Tapas, Italian and Greek food means it’s great for big families and groups to share!!

4 of us came here on Friday night and ordered from the tapas menu. We sat outside in the courtyard as the weather was lovely and the whole atmosphere was amazing. We ordered tapas (Prawns, Calamari, Chorizo, Meze, Patatas Bravas, Halloumi, Garlic Bread) and it was all amazingly good :-) It is about 13 years since I last came here and I wont be leaving it another 13 before I return. Planning on returning next month with friends. Cant wait. The food and service was brilliant and I would highly recommend. Hidden gem x

Followed all the COVID guidelines, offered hand sanitiser when we sat down and had points to do it when entering/leaving the building. Also took our info for track and trace. Was a nice day so sat in the courtyard, service was friendly & quick. I got the lasagne, I’ve had it before and it never disappoints. It always comes bubbling hot and full of flavour. We also had a garlic bread with cheese, that wasn’t greasy and had lots of cheese. I have only been a few times but definitely need to visit more.

Called in randomly. I must admit I was a bit nervous with it being just after lockdown restrictions were lifted. Welcomed by a lovely young lady. We were seated away from other people, all the seating seemed spaced out. We were asked to fill in the track and trace info. The menu was tweaked slightly to accommodate the children's requests. Lovely food, no complaints at all. All the staff were pleasant, polite, chatty and welcoming.

We went in last Saturday but didn’t stay after seeing their toilet facilities didn’t have any soap, no sanitizer anywhere to be seen on way in to restaurant, neither out from the bathroom too. No track & trace. Toilet checks in ladies were last updated 13th March...Use to love coming here especially on hot summer days but won’t be rushing back until standards improve.

Came here on a last minute decision and was not disappointed ! Our table was booked for 9pm, we arrived 20 minutes early and we were still seated almost instantly, really nice atmosphere, not too crowded, not too cramped with music on but not blearing out so still able to hear the conversations on our table, the waiters/waitresses were excellent, really helpful, funny and not too overbearing or pushy, ordered our food and drinks, the drinks came and within 5 minutes our starters were brought by our waiter, absolutely delicious for me and both my partner and with the waiter checking everything was to our liking it was even better, after starters were done we ordered another drink and in a good time out mains were brought out with our extra drinks, my main was possibly the best carbornara i have ever had ! Not sure whether it was a random but even one of the chefs walked past and checked they food was good ! Very good value for money, not super cheap but no where near extortionate, £65 for two people 2 drinks each and starters and mains each was great for the quality! I will be going back and highly recommend it to anyone

I've been going here for many years and every time I have been I have never had a problem brilliant menu, great service. it's a place I go back to time and time again and never get bored it's a Must Go 5-star from me

Cafe Bar is so different from a lot of restaurants in Preston. It feel authentic when you walk in and the staff are very friendly. The location and atmosphere can't be faulted - it felt like we were on holiday, even though it was the middle of February in Preston!The food is good, although not amazing. We would go back, but would probably order other dishes on the menu. Great for a quick lunch I reckon, rather than a full dinner, like we had.

Went here on Valentine’s Day absolutely fantastic food and fantastic ambience you can see the food being cooked from where you sit and everything is fresh and delicious and tasty and the staff are extremely joyful and helpful nothing is a problem highly recommend the meatballs if you visit here parking is on winckley Square

I went to the Cafe bar with a group of friends to celebrate a 50th birthday. The menu choice was varied and appealing. The food was really tasty and good value.The service was excellent and they made a fuss of the birthday girl.I will definitely come again and would recommend it.

A good range of vegetarian dishes reminiscent of holidays in Greece. Baked Feta and Houmous are always good along with the salads.

My daughter and I visited the Cafe Bar today for lunch. I haven’t been here for over 15 years. It was relatively busy inside with quite a few tables occupied. What a lovely place this is, with lovely decor and a fabulous ambience. We ordered our drinks and food within minutes of sitting down. The service was fabulous, the food was lovely and we will definitely be back soon. Thank you so much we had a lovely lunch in a lovely place...

We ended up here after a delayed train. We were welcomed in and had a quick tapas lunch - vine leaves, calamari and prawns. All served with nice salad and tzatziki. Would recommend.

Visited lunchtime with friends and was most impressed. Good choice on the menu plus lunchtime offers. Food was excellent and plentiful and the staff were very pleasant. Will return.

We were here for a 21st, which we were having somewhere else originally but were let down. So we ended up here. So glad we did. They made us feel so welcome at such short notice. Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff and very clean. Food was fantastic and a good price. Not one complaint from any of the 13 people we were with. Give this place a go. You will not be disappointed. Booked here as a family before Christmas lights switch on. All had a good meal It was very busy due to the event but still had good service and good meal

Really good service and food, only suggestion would be better to have children’s size pizza and more vegetarian/vegan options, with clear labelling. My daughter was disappointed to have to share with us. Otherwise very good. Will probably go again.

Myself and my parents wanted a drink after shopping and we were told it was dining only. This was despite the bar area being completely empty. We had our dog with us and only wanted to sit outside anyway. Looked like they could have done with the custom rather than turning people away!!

Tucked away in Preston, but worth seeking out. Varied, if a little odd menu of Tapas and Italian. Prices vary from good, to a little high for some items. Lunch time offers in place though on some items to tempt you. Nice atmosphere, but the real selling point is the excellent service.

We been going for almost 5 years, in the week when they have the deals on before 5pm. Always welcoming, always tasty, we bring family and friends here because it’s consistently good. Has a Mediterranean feel to it, feels like you’re anywhere but the centre of Preston.

Went here on Saturday for lunch with my Mum. Always a good atmosphere busy and bubbling with people enjoying the food. The service is always friendly and quick. We both have lasagne and share a salad, lots of choice on the menu but hey, we love the lasagne! Although busy we never feel rushed and excellent value. Just around the corner for a stroll around Winkley Square afterwards

Have eaten here fairly frequently over the years but was disappointed in this occasion. The lamb kebab was smaller than previously and not as tasty as before and the veg paella lacked any flavour at all. Hopefully it was just an off night.

We were told about this restaurant for dinner but decided to make a lunchtime visit. We loved the atmosphere and the hosts made us feel like it was a family run restaurant versus a chain. We had a glass of wine and some starters. I had the Chicken Slovakia and my partner had the Paella respectively. Everything was delicious. The portions are very generous and the food was great. We will definitely be returning for dinner in the near future. I would highly recommend.

Love this place, the food is great as is the decor and atmosphere, staff are exceptionally friendly and always extra attentive to our 7 month old daughter who loves the attention

I have visited Cafe Bar quite a few times over the years and it's always spot on. A large group of us dined there again yesterday for my 30th and had the best time.

Food was nice, service was ok. Clean and welcoming. No issues would recommend for an evening of food and drink with family or fiends.

This was my second experience at this place. It’s a great little bar/restaurant for all occasions with a chilled atmosphere, tucked away just off the night street. Well worth a visit.

No vegan option on the menu. I ordered a pizza with tomato sauce, pineapple and mushrooms. They brought me one with ham all over it. They did change it. My omni friends did all seem to enjoy their meals but not for me. Atmosphere nice.quite trendy.

We had a get together for my birthday, haven’t been for a while and had heard rave reviews about it. The place itself is really nice to look at and has a definite Taberner feel to it. The menu was fab, good choices without over filling you with options. I’m not a fish fan, but I tried Whitebait. A nice portion arrived and I actually enjoyed it! I nearly went for the Souvlaki, but I noticed on the specials board they had Gyros. That sold it. It came and I literally couldn’t wait to try it. The plate looked and tasted fantastic. We had a great evening and we will be coming back!

The cafe bar is set just off Winckley square. When walking through to get to the cafe I felt like I was in Italy with the whole set up they had. The staff are polite and they greeted you to a table quickly. The margarita pizza was made fresh and the service was quick. I tried a dry sweet rosé which was very easy to drink, I had to ask for a second glass. I had 2 large wines which were filled up to the top of the glass which is what you want. Inside is very cosy and the Italian theme follows through. I would definitely eat here again.

I love the rustic design of cafe bar, it’s very unique, and cosy inside. Food was delicious and service was very good. Will be returning!

We had lunch here and was wowed by the food. You could easily walk past this place but try not to. It was a lovely sunny day and we sat in the courtyard drinking sangria. The tapas were delicious and there is a great choice. The staff were very attentive and I would say a must to visit.

Took my daughter for a lunchtime treat, sat outside in the courtyard and it was lovely. We felt like we were away on holiday.

Best meal we have had in a long time, amazing place, amazing staff. We sat in the courtyard in the sun and had Tapas, they was all yummy .. sharing - chorizo, piri piri chicken, warm feta cheese and fries ..

My wife and I visited on Saturday evening, business was brisk but not packed. Believing it is about right to order three tapas per person , we order six dishes and requested that they didn't all come at once. Which of course they did, there was no offer to keep some warm, we were faced with a pile of food and that was hard luck on us. Would they serve a starter, main and desert all at once ? of course not . Then why could they not stagger the dishes say three and a gap and then three more. The reason was to try to get us out of there as fast as possible. Afterwards we were asked three times if everything had been ok, and three times I explained we had been overwhelmed by six dishes arriving at once , and each member of the staff agreed with the point I made. Very disappointed as we had received good reports. The food was quite good, but cold by the end of the meal. We were underwhelmed.

Went last Friday evening and were blown away by food, staff, service, atmosphere and venue. Was a stunning evening sat outside being served by amazing staff who genuinely love what they do. We didn't want to leave. Went back last night for more amazing food and we were blown away by the lovely warm welcome from staff and owner who remembered us from the week before. We live in the area and have fallen in love with the place! You just can't describe the feeling of being in the Mediterranean being there. The food is truly brilliant and will now be our local

Went to Cafe Bar on a lovely sunny day, we have been a few times before and we really liked the place, not been for a couple of years and we went on a sunny Saturday when it’s usually really busy outside and it was dead, only 4 people sat there which we thought was unusual. Went to sit down outside with our small dog and was told by someone sweeping up that they weren’t serving food outside - we said that was fine as we wanted a drink and he went inside. Then another person came and asked us to leave and said two words to us - no dogs. They were abrupt and I have been a couple of years ago which was my last visit and dogs were allowed outside - so either it’s under terrible new ownership or they just like to pick and choose who they let in. The place was dead which I thought was a real shame however if they treat people like that then I’m not surprised! Sort it out and you might get some more custom.

A hidden gem, tucked away...a revelation. Called in on the off chance at lunch time...although quiet (it was Monday), there was a lovely atmosphere. Lovely and welcoming decor, staff were friendly without being in your face. Food was piping hot, tasty and plentiful. The price was exceptionally good value. Menu extensive and lots to choose from. highly recommend the tagliatelle Alfredo and the lasagne. We had desserts, well, why not....and they were big portions. All in all, a lovely meal in a pleasant atmosphere with attentive staff. Will definitely come back one evening next time as the souvlaki looks amazing.....

Tried cafe bar tonight. What a place, proper feels like you're in a Mediterranean restaurant! We ordered 4 different tapas off the menu and some bread also for dipping. Each dish was delicious and the service was amazing. We also ordered a bottle of wine. You can see from the bill how reasonable it was. This is our new favourite place.

I had see this restaurant come up a few times on Instagram and I knew it would be perfect for father's days as my dad loves all things Mediterranean especially tapas etc . We where greeted with happy smiling staff who looked like they enjoyed working there .they made us feel welcome even when we turned up late due to traffic . We ordered drinks tapas and mains and it was all very fresh tasty and nicely presented and shocked at how reasonable it was for the overall quality .the decor and atomosphere was perfect and for a first time visit it's set in our minds it won't be the last thankyou for a very enjoyable lunch we even boxed some up to take home because it was too nice to leave thankyou very much

I came here with a group of friends after they’d been telling me great reviews about the food. I shared a few dishes of tapas and some garlic bread with one of them. My favourite dish was the halloumi, oh my god was that amazing! There was plenty of it too which was good to see! I also love the chorizo, it was cooked to perfection and so flavoursome! The garlic bread was really good too. The food came out really fast and the service was spot on. It was a really busy Saturday night but everyone was seen to and the food was severed perfectly. My only complaint would be the meatballs I had were dry and not much flavour, which was a bit disappointing. All in all though it was lovely and I’ll definitely be back at some point to try more tapas and maybe the pizza as they looked delish too!

Visited for my friends 30th. I really enjoyed it. We all had the lamb soulakis. Tasted delicious. Staff wonderful and friendly. Will be back next month.

I arrived first. Straight away it was cold inside, and our table, for 12 people, was by the door. The way the table and chairs were arranged reminded me of school dinners. Plastic chairs?

Fantastic place to eat, with outstanding service. Mr Greek with the beard was my favourite. Food cooked perfectly, from chorizo to lamb and potatoes to feed the 5000. Cant wait to return. See you again.

Lovely staff and great meal. Couldn’t have been more helpful. Always offering more drinks and could offer us anything we asked for. Very attentive. Will be back! Prime location too.

Visited Saturday night with family who were late as usual but this didn't matter to the staff who weren't pushy despite the restaurant being busy...

Visited Preston to see Livewire group & decided to stay for a long weekend. Easy access by train to Lancester & St Anne's. Went to Cafe Bar Saturday night & was so good we returned Sunday night & Monday lunchtime before travelling home. Greek Meze particularly good. Loved the Greek Salad & excellent pizza. Excellent service & lovely outside seating area. Highly recommended. Will definately return when next in Preston.

Brilliant setting sat in the court yard, staff were so attentive and pleasant. The giros plate was amazing, just like in Greece. The position are large, would definitely go again.

Walked in on the off chance but all the free tables had a reserved sign on.... However we asked for a table and we got one in the gorgeous courtyard. As we enjoyed our delicious lunch we witnessed quite a few people who came in, saw the reserved signs and walked out.

Used to visit Cafe Bar back in the day for drinks in the courtyard and now returned for food with my children! Very very friendly and attentive staff who had a laugh with us which always makes a visit more enjoyable. The restaurant is nicely decorated and is a little piece of the Med in Preston! The food was delicious and I would highly recommend visiting if you haven’t already

Great place to eat lunch.We sat outside in the yard and it was perfect with a nice glass of red wine.I had the Jerk Chicken and it was beautiful.Definitely coming again.

Never even knew this place existed down Winkley Square, decided to visit on a Friday lunchtime following a recommendation. It's located at the bottom of the street on the right hand side, through an archway.

First visit on a Saturday afternoon.

I absolutely love this place. My steak was cooked to perfection. The pepercorn sauce was flavoursome and desert (tiramisu) was spot on. The staff are super friendly. I absolutely love this place. I will be back.

I’ve never had a bad experience in cafe bar. The food is delicious and very fresh. They are also very accommodating and will adjust things if you need them to. It feels like a family in the restaurant. Very accommodating. It feels like a little slice of a foreign country in the town of Preston! Fabulous I’d definitely recommend.

The food here is always good - what makes it stand out is the wonderful reception from the staff who are actually enjoying working and make you feel welcome and looked after. Special mention for a good Greek coffee following some wonderful albondigas that had plenty of smoked paprika in - excellent!

Overall this restaurant was very good. The pizzas are excellent and are clearly freshly made with good toppings. In addition the price was very good for the food quality and the service.I would highly rate this restaurant and would say it’s a great place to try. The only negative is you cannot split the bill and the room was a bit cold.

My brother and I visited The Café Bar whilst waiting for our train to Glasgow and it was a lovely way to start our break.
