Why did this place take an on line booking, confirm it,, AND NOT Tell us you were CLOSED!!!! Angry. Cost us a taxi fare and a ruined evening

Fantastic Christmas buffet which was amazing value and truly delicious. Huge range including salmon, prawns, various cheeses and pates, yummy cakes for dessert and a chocolate fountain- all in friendly and welcoming surroundings and our dogs welcomed. Thank you and we will be back!

This place took our booking on line arrived last night to find it locked up, If this company open anywhere near Chester DO NOT TRusT THem !!!

Just make sure it's all in the bag, last time had no boiled rice

Cant complain about anything considering it was £50 on Valentine’s Day. Great value and breakfast was decent.

Dreadful absolutely awful, after a few years break of having takeaways from here we decided to give it a try, two portions of spare ribs, a special curry and a beef curry, rice and chips which came to the overprice of £49, the ribs were lots of fat with very little meat on them, the chips were Ok, the rice was more or less one solid block, I can only speak about my so called special curry which must have been cooked in a canister full of salt it consisted of 2 prawns a bit of fatty pork some other meat which I dread to think what it was, all in a sauce that could be served in one lump or two with for some unknown reason lots of broccoli thrown in hardly cooked to fill out this whole mess of rubbish save your money and go to a restaurant and save money.

Large variety in food but surprisingly good quality and taste, will try again

Food was OK and basic. The chef was off and only certain parts of menu were available. It looks like the pub is one of those it's closing down. It will just be used for the hotel Apparently from the 5th July 2024 the pub will be closed to the general public and restricted to use for hotel guests only.

Thank God that this place is closing. The (front of house and waiting on) staff have always been great (attentive, hard-working, friendly), but the Irish "manager" was permanently simply dreadful.
