The best restaurants in Currock Carlisle North West

Found this place by chance and what a find. I'm not vegetarian but tried the butter nut squash curry and rice and walked to the river to eat it. All packaging (including knifes and forks) bio-degradable. The curry would have given my local curry house a good run for the money and not one bit of plastic in site. Outstanding value for money and a lovely view over the river. In none Covid times we would have gone to the pub but this was one of the few gains from this outbreak, a great curry overlooking the river. Only regret was I didn't buy one of those brownies.

Absolutely gorgeous food. Great value for money as meal deal was a brilliant option. Lovely welcoming staff, very friendly and helpful with my order. Even offered to bring my food out to the car as I had a young child. Authentic and clean premises. You can watch as they prepare your food and wash up the dishes! Will definitely be back!

Went for breakfast, lovely staff, great atmosphere and two nice warm fires in either bar. The food was brilliant, a hearty portion of clean well cooked food. Nothing dripping in grease, nothing over cooked or undercooked, I honestly couldn't find a single issue with the food. Utensils were clean and I was provided with a range of condiments, and offered a wider variety. Would highly recommend, I took my child (under 2yo) and he was most welcomed, there was also a customer with a dog, so pets are clearly welcome too.

Can I have a Negroni please? No mate it’s not on the list. We have a set cocktail list !! Not the bar to go to if you want a Negroni 🙄 It might as well be a pints pub with untrained staff, my companion had a Pina Colada served in a tumbler 🙄😂

Excellent service from friendly staff, had one of the nicest tuna melts i have ever had. Prices very reasonable and would recommend to anyone with spare time while waiting for their train.

Very nice baguette but getting more expensive to buy

Good morning, i am on a soft food diet, i rang 3 other restaurants to ask if they could puree my meal, all said no!! asked the same question Chef said not a problem, just had to order in advance so it could be prepared, not a problem. On arrival the staff were very pleasant, my meal arrived, it was perfect, very enjoyable, my hubbie's meal was very nice. Thank you all for your super effort, all i wanted was an Indian, you achieved this. Thank you all once again, Tracey.

Brewdog Carlisle hosted our engagement party for us and they did absolutely amazing. We were so happy with the spread of food and the of course the drink. Zoe made the party run smoothly and was so lovely to us and our guests. It was definitely somewhere different to have an engagement party but we couldn’t be happier that we choose brewdog. The space allocated to us was just enough and placed by the pool tables which guests could enjoy. It really was a lovely place to have a party and for everyone to feel happy and relaxed. I would definitely have a party again in future for any occasion

Choice on the menu is great. Food is always really good. I have visited a few times but on Saturday the lady behind the counter was arguing and complaining about a younger member of staff in front of her to a driver and to customers. It’s very unprofessional and made the atmosphere awful. It’s not my closest Chinese so probably won’t come back as it was a very uncomfortable environment to be in.

After not ordering for a while, we had one last night, won’t be returning! Food was awful, the burgers use to be lovely, it’s gone downhill
