Meh, what else to say. It's definitely changed over the years but it hasn't moved in the right direction. Horribly rude and slow bar staff, To the point they almost seem ignorant. I don't know if some nights are busier than expected so less staff or the staff are that slow they feel non existent

New doorstaff are super friendly especially the women. Helped me when I lost my friends and my belongings, went out her way to make sure I was ok and was able to get home safe.

I’ve been going to walkabout in Carlisle for years but I will definitely not be back. The door staff’s behaviour is absolutely disgusting not letting someone in for wearing cargo pants. Since when were cargo pants not classed as fashionable on a night out. Then as we we walk away one of them utters “night night” trying to be patronising. With how quiet it was on a Saturday night the place will be shut down in a month all because of the door staff. Letting the place down.

Came to Carlisle & had an amazing night here. Welcomed in & felt safe with the great door team. The bar staff were amazing even though it was busy. Loved the DJ & played all our requests. Thank you to the management. Can't wait to be back again!!

Monday Night Karaoke is great fun.

I usually love walkabout and go every weekend but tonight I was kicked out for being in the women's bathroom (i'm queer and genderfluid) i was waiting for a friend of mine to make sure she was okay and was kicked out. I understand the safety concern, but I do not feel safe in the men's bathroom and I was in no way unnecessarily inebriated or causing any kind of trouble. For an establishment that hosts a queer night i am incredibly upset at being openly discriminated against and forced to leave while i was making sure my friend was okay. I was unaware there is a disabled bathroom and attempted to explain that but was ignored, had i known i would have used that bathroom.

Watched the boxing and played darts. Yarn is quite decent at darts

Visited walkabout for the football a couple of times & Adam has always been very helpful with food & drink..bringing us food upstairs and making sure the commentary was on the big screen upstairs

Such a nice place for a wee night out! Came here with some friends and the atmosphere was amazing. The bar staff were class and we never ever waited long for our drinks. They were all lovely and friendly, especially Adam and Zeal. Would defo recommend going here if you’re in the area

My Husband and I visited here last week, very welcoming venue, very helpful Staff. Food was ordered and was with us extremely quickly. Lovely venue, excellent staff and very good food. Will be returning.

Great experience! What truly stood out was the exceptional service, and in particular, the tall gentleman with a remarkable long neck. The name escapes me, I think it was Rohan? Kudos to the team for setting the standard for exceptional customer service!

Despite being along the border the DJ was excessively anti-scottsish to the extent it was off-putting to our group. We expected an enjoyable weekend but were subjected to an aggressive start. I've experienced warmer welcomes in London and am bitterly disappointed in the DJ at walkabout for their unwelcoming behaviour.

Being costumer for nearly 10 years. Still a good place to have a drink. Quietly. But 10 years past i have to say , still a good place to enjoy a bit of fun but .....not the same as it's use to be. Still has good food and some kind employees but all.

Completely ridiculous slow service, I ordered a calrlig which was flat the bar man replaced it no problem. Waiting to order another pint, 4 staff behind the bar. im waiting along with 3 other customers with no joy, 1 was serving, 2 were putting glasses from the washer the shelf and the other was in a world of his own lalalal. got refused entry for wearing tracksuit bottoms was told it was company policy. can anyone verify it is company policy? got a cheek to refuse me anyways floors and tables were so sticky and grotty. after id been him and got changed i went in and was very disappointed, toilets were stinking. there was actually sick all the way to the toilets reported it and was still there an hour later and it wasn’t busy so it’s not as if they didn’t have time.

Saturday nights is way better than Fridays.....love the music 🎶

Waited 20 mins at the bar, having other people push in, to be served a pint that definitely needed a line clean. Would not recommend as I could see bartenders just stood laughing and talking instead of serving.

One of the good pub in Carlisle. Visited once and it was terribly busy.. It took half hour to enter inside. £4 was entry fee.

I was stood at the bar not too busy and I was there a good 5 minutes and a girl walked up next to me and was served straight away, I said excuse me I was first and the bar member told the other bar person next to them not to serve me got a drink after that had to send my partner to the bar to get served quickly won't be coming back shame its a decent bar apart from this rudeness and we noticed this morning when we were buying the same 2 drinks that the price was different a few times!!

Myself, my other half and another couple went to Walkabout in Carlisle around 11.30pm. Lots of dance music and a DJ was on. I went to the ladies toilet and walked into a cubicle, went to close the door on the cubicle only to find there wasn't one. Used another cubicle 2 doors down but I had to physically lift the door to be able to close it. My partner ordered a Guinness which was terrible, no head on it and it tasted bad. I'm sure the Guinness reps wouldn't be happy. The only reason I gave the service 2 stars was because a staff member noticed my other half had dropped his passport under the table and drew our attention to it. We came back the next day to watch some rugby and a quick drink and the floor was so sticky- there was no way it had been cleaned the night before. I'll be finding another pub in future.

Expensive, floor around toilets sticky like fly paper, flies around toilets, woman bouncer that is coloured has a tremendous attitude problem and a face like she has had a involuntary labotomy.same ugly weirdo denied me access last week for absolutely nothing.

Security is just a joke same as Manager who don't even want to give his name if u want to put complain on situation , they don't listen what u have problem with, treating customers like s.. only because one worker mixing her personal problems with the job, using security to solve her own issues with other people... provoking situations to do that !!!

This is the grottiest place I’ve ever been. My feet were sticking to the floor it was so dirty, I could smell the toilet before I got to it, the stench of stale urine filled the air. Dirty, avoid at all costs.

Never felt so unwelcome in a bar in my life. Popped in with my partner and son for some food and a beer after a movie and the server was so unfriendly. No atmosphere place was dead and I can see why. I have been...
