The best restaurants in Smithills Bolton North West

Absolutely unreal ! My mates were telling me about this place and it lived up to the hype ! And better than the expectations, real food, great prices, amazing scran, cannot fault it at all, defo go with mates or family !

Honestly the Brecky was to die for will definitely come back the staff are dead nice and the atmosphere is warm and friendly

Friendly staff ,had a bowl of lovely homemade soup with sausage roll -speciality flavours and a yummy brownie ! All delicious and reasonably priced . cosy environment to eat in -it was a friends catch up -not one rushed us out .will definitely return

Is Cafe Italia under new ownership? We went today and didn't recognise any of the usual staff. Nobody greeted us at the door although staff were hanging round. I then asked if we could sit anywhere to which a guy said "yea, anywhere". We sat there a good while before anyone attended to us. A guy who I think was "the main man" was busy chatting and two waitresses just stood there. Eventually we ordered our usual, a shared pizza, chips and salad. The pizza hardly had any cheese on and was soggy and greasy in the centre and the lettuce in the salad was limp and had started to yellow. The chips were OK. The guy at the next table sent his meal back as it was luke warm. It arrived back, presumably warmed up, but a few minutes later he called the waitress and told her it was not what he had ordered. It was spaghetti and was supposed to have sausage and tomatoes in it but apparently had neither. The 2 waitresses were dour with no smiles for anyone as was the 'main man" not sure whether the restaurant has been taken over or whether it was just "Monday staff". I won't be returning in a hurry.

Lovely place that had a good number of choices for my gluten free daughter - so much so she had 2 cakes just because she cluld. Would highly recommend for anyone with coeliac disease - separate tongs etc. Very welcoming, thank you.

Was crowded out of my table because owner family wanted to sit there. I'm have a painful disability so I sit away from main isle. Even though I explained I was told I would be better sat in the main isle. No disabled facilities at all one to avoid

Ordered chicken chow main, Szechuan crispy beef, beef in green pepper in black bean sauce chicken fried rice, egg fried rice, the meat was awful way to much corn starch which can only be described as slime covered food I almost wrench first bite! Immediately went in the the bin. Sorry A1 I’m a local lad and frequent your chippy from time to time but the food l ordered recently was horrendous.

This pub is amazing but it's shut down so I hope this pub opens again after reafernish met is dun

SO disappointed with our recent takeway. Used to be such a great pizza/paste place, always hot, fresh and authentic. Tonight, our pizza looked incredibly unappetizing, covered in orange cheese (presumably cheddar) lacking tomato sauce and with mimimal, low quality toppings. The pasta was supposed to have a bolognese sauce however was nothing like this and seemed to have been made with turkey and was inedible. A complete waste of money and really shocked at the decline of a once fantastic pizza takeaway.

We have ordered from Volcano on numerous occasions and we have always had a fantastic takeaway treat. This one particular time my salad didn't arrive. Within 10 minutes a fresh salad and a free chocolate cake was delivered by a lovely, friendly member of staff. Much appreciated. Thank you Volcano for our lovely weekend takeaway. Always good food.

I asked for a lightly battered fish specifically, as I don’t like to much batter, it was great! The girls who work there are lovely. Overall it was a great experience I’ll definitely be coming back .

does anyone know what has happened to JUTE ? it was a great indian takeaway , resonably priced , always hot when it was delivered, we are missing it , Ken and Kathy

Asked for some changes to the food, they did them perfectly

First time visit and definitely will be back Mothers day treat from my family and it was fabulous staff were very attentive surroundings pleasant and restaurant is well run and friendly Menu was exactly what I was hoping for lots of choice. Food was excellent and well presented and really tasty. Thanks for making my Mother’s Day extra special.
