The best restaurants serving British food in Smithills Bolton North West

We celebrated my birthday here. A party of 15 aged 11 months to 64 and everyone really enjoyed themselves. The food is always authentic Italian and the staff are friendly and helpful. Loads of choice for vegetarians (I recommend the veg lasagna) the fish is very fresh and the children loved the pizzas, one of them had a meatball starter and chips 😀

Was crowded out of my table because owner family wanted to sit there. I'm have a painful disability so I sit away from main isle. Even though I explained I was told I would be better sat in the main isle. No disabled facilities at all one to avoid

Food was average and so was the service. I had the black pudding starter and I have to say that the poached egg on top was perfect. The black pudding was ' black pudding!' can't go wrong with pre made but it came with a strange tasting, congealed sauce. Two of us had pork fillet which was very dry and really hard to chew and cut. People who had chips said that they were hard in the middle and the suet pudding looked like road kill, I wouldn't have described it as a pudding, more like mince in a dish with a flat layer of suet pastry on top. Service was slow until we had finished our meal and then we felt harassed by the staff constantly coming to the table removing glasses as soon as they were empty.
