Well worth the detour to what seems not to be an island but apparently is. There’s a lifeboat station at the end of the road, open on certain weekends for tours. The ferry was going over to Piel Island but we didn’t have time, just admired the views. Unfortunately the café was closed.

This is my second review for this pub. It's a fabulous spot to visit on a trip to a little island. It has changed hands since my last visit. Food is no longer served, but there are plenty of crisps, chocolate bars etc, so you won't starve ! Lots of outdoor seating to look at the view. A must

Well we visited this little gem of a Tea room and ordered 2 fish lunches that were perfect so fresh. The 2 pots of tea we had were awesome. I had a slice of coffee cake that was home made and really enjoyed it. The staff in this place obviously enjoy working there as it really shows as they are so friendly. If your in this area you must visit and say hi to Amie as she is trying so hard to make this new venture work They deserve the £10 tip

The room we booked was awful, chair arms all ripped and sponge handing out. The staff(young kids) kept getting all the drink orders wrong and also tried to over charge on multiple occasions. We got told for cold buffet food it was 6pound something and for hot and cold it would be 9pound something. So they picked the 9pound option for 40 people. The food was absolutely awful and appalling. One bowl of chips, 3 small trays of dreadful sandwiches. And a few other crappy things. I most definitely not be going there again. Discussing place
