This place is a little gem. It’s got everything. Friendly staff, great food and superb views. I highly recommend this boat club restaurant. It’s child friendly. Plenty of room for prams. The toilets have good, clean baby changing facilities and the menu is child friendly too. Plus there are always tasty specials on the board too for everyone to enjoy. Roast dinners on a Sunday here are great. The Sunday carvery is superb with so much veg and meat choice. We have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. If you are looking for a chilled place to while away some time then get out on their sun terrace and stare out to sea. It really is heaven on a sunny day. Mind you don’t tell everyone…..we don’t want the place overrun

This is my second review for this pub. It's a fabulous spot to visit on a trip to a little island. It has changed hands since my last visit. Food is no longer served, but there are plenty of crisps, chocolate bars etc, so you won't starve ! Lots of outdoor seating to look at the view. A must

Lovely wee pub. We stopped in whilst in the area briefly. Very warm inside and we received a very warm friendly welcome by the regulars who were very nice to us and our dogs

We booked for 8 people for our Boxing Day lunch. We had viewed the Christmas menu and were looking forward to our meal. On arrival we were informed that the Chef left a week ago and there were no Roast dinners on the menu. Apparently the replacement "Chef" thought people would have had enough of Christmas dinners so was not cooking any. I think it's appalling that we were not contacted and made aware of the situation so that we could have made an informed decision on whether to attend, very dishonest and unprofessional. We were given a very basic menu which included fish and chips, pie, scampi etc, not very Christmassy and not even a cracker or festive napkin in site. Soup was luke warm, scampi tasteless and the only thing I enjoyed was the sticky toffee pudding, and at £7.50 that was a relief. A bill of over £200 for an overwhelmingly disappointing experience. Will not be returning.

Very cold I wished I'd worn something warmer. There appeared to be only one lady working bar, taking food orders and serving both areas . There wasn't a lot of customers and after reading that there was a new innovative chef I was surprised there weren't more curious customers. We ordered a roast. I had beef and my husband had lamb. Plenty of meat which was well cooked and tasty. The veg were beyond Al Dente, they were hard, there was a very thin sliver of carrot, some hard batons of parsnip, a piece of hard cauliflower and hard broccoli. There were two very pale and very small " roast " potatoes, a couple of table spoons of mash potato and some tasty gravy . I am the least fussy eater in the world but didn't enjoy this meal . The Yorkshire puddings were nice. Sadly we won't be going back. Very disappointed as we had high hopes .
