Fantastic little club, with a great course and even better food. A warm welcome at the little gem. Green keepers clearly know what they are doing as the course is in great condition. And to top it off the food quality is a real treat thanks to the fabulous chef 👍

What can you say about this establishment, service 5 stars, food 5 stars, great ambience, attendant staff and owners, how anyone could find fault with this place is beyond me, if we lived closer I would be here at least 3 times a week, never fails to impress, Thanks to Sam, Tash and your fantastic team, like Arnie says I'll be back,👌😋

In the middle of a house move so we ordered a takeaway Sunday lunch each for everyone. It was fantastic - generous portions and delicious home-cooked food. The staff were really friendly when I went to collect. We live locally and would definitely recommend.

great welcome from the staff, food was superb, we had the steak pie, chunky chips and gravy, being in our seventies, the SMALL portion filled us both to bursting. to add to that, the loweswater gold was great. all in all we had a very enjoyable lunch and will be back when we return to the lakes in june 2025. david and val ratcliffe

Loved the Sunday lunch having sampled the roast beef and beer battered haddock. Lots of choices to make a return visit a must. Lovely choice of accompanying drinks from the distillery and table water supplied with the meal that always makes me smile. Puddings were excellent, We chose one that could travel in a take away box!

We were staying in Cockermouth and I found this lovely bistro through Tripadvisor. The food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed what we ordered. Staff were lovely too and it was reasonably priced. We would recommend eating here if you’re staying locally.

Beautiful spot for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea near to Bassenthwaite Lake. Plenty of free parking. We stopped for lunch here. Portion size is very generous and food was delicious. Lovely experience to eat on the train. Would highly recommend. Owners very friendly and welcoming.

Spot on! Amazing day in without doubt the nicest area in England. A nice run around the Lake followed by 4 delicious pints of the Bridge Inn Pale Ale which is just fantastic. Really lovely and well caring staff and then food looked brilliant as well. A tremendous pub in a glorious area. Definitely one to recommend for the people of Bowness

The worst service and meal we have had in along time!!!! We arrived and were never greeted then ignored by a girl with shaved hair at the bar when trying to order food....took around 30 mins to be acknowledged staff are basically not interested.... I have done front of house in another local pub and would never ignore customers ....then to top it off the food was average alot like weather spoons ....a lady behind us was complaining about her seabass which came with 3-4 boiled potatoes and a tiny bit of kale ....bad news travels in the area so drastic changes are needed as there is much nicer in the area..... the bar was warm and cosy but we most certainly won't be back!!!!

We were disappointed by the whole experience. The food and service did not live up to the marketing hype. The pizzas were OK but nothing special. We visited on an icy day when the patio on the way into the restaurant was really slippy and our friends young daughter slipped and fell. The response from the waitress was totally unacceptable - she didn't apologise or ask if our friend's daughter was alright, she actually laughed and told us we should have read the signs (we didn't see any signs).
