The best restaurants serving British food in Crummock Allerdale North West

Fantastic little club, with a great course and even better food. A warm welcome at the little gem. Green keepers clearly know what they are doing as the course is in great condition. And to top it off the food quality is a real treat thanks to the fabulous chef 👍

We went in for drinks only. The beer was spot on but the bar was cold, no heating and no fire on despite it being most definitely winter! There were no lights on the Christmas tree, or any Christmas lights which were all switched off. It was a shame as the beer is great and staff quite friendly.

10 of us went for Sunday lunch quite late in the day . The staff were really cheerful and attentive and we were served quickly. The food was outstanding. Between us , we covered most of the menu and everything was delicious - good sized portions too. I'm a vegetarian and was so pleased to be able to have an excellent roast with all the trimmings. Will definitely return. It was good value too.

Great food and good service. We all ate off the specials board and loved every bit of it. Wine selection was good. Pop on an X5 from cockermouth if you want to save on taxi's and have a drink.

Just had a lovely lunch of turkey pie, veg and mash. Absolutely delicious, piping hot served on a hot plate. Lovely service in a nice cosy room. Was a very impromptu visit as was in the area so will definitely be coming back again soon to try the Sunday lunch.
