Cracking little pub, great atmosphere and spotless

Haven't been to the Stap for a while, this was a Tuesday evening but the place was reasonably busy a lot of customers where in where having a family get together for a meal. I was killing time for a bus. Nice and cosy inside cold and miserable outside. Staff nice and friendly. Toilets to the back and rear, bar with dart board and pool table.

Waited over an hour for food even though it wasn't busy when we ordered, food came... Ordered butter curry and rice. Mine came with no chicken just small amounts of curry sauce, with rice, 1poppadom and a small piece of naan bread.. my family have eaten and I'm sat waiting for another curry. We sat and waited in bar area, to no cutlery and we needed to ask for sauce as none was offered to us.

Wow got food tonight meat was slimy as noodles well over cooked deffo would not recommend

Ordered for delivery took over an hour to get here when arrived food was cold garlic sauce was runny and parmo was overcooked and chewy and drenched with bechamel sauce.chips were also cold.would not go back.

Taste's yummy, 😋 must and should try pamo.

I ordered the family box and, as always, the food was fresh and very tasty. The portions are really large for the price – our family of 4 ate well, and we still had plenty left for later. The service is very friendly, and my daughter even got a free can of coke. We will definitely order again!

Placed an order today and was very disappointed. Normally food is great but was horrible today and when I rang up to complain the man turned around and said he was there and cut the phone off on me . Definitely will not be ordering again

Never order from here again fries were freezing as well has the kebab meat so disappointed.

Ordered a kebab and got a pizza smothered with peppers wich i cant eat no answer on the phone so waste of money and time!!

I found that the restaurant has a good range of food at reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and helpful. The soup is always very tasty, they have make your own or pre made salads that are good value. The hot food caters mainly for the local area with things like parmo's, fish and chip shawarma's and the like available on different days. the restaurant seating area is well presented and very modern if not a little cold on some days

Absolutely don’t order from this place, terrible quality of service and very aggressive when trying to resolve an order issue, don’t even bother! Showed no attempt to resolve the issue, explained the situation transparently and received nothing but rude condescending aggression back. Could have sorted the issue out amicably but no interest was taken in that.

After shopping in M & S Food felt the need for a pitstop. Wasn’t impressed by the range of food but ordered a flat white and panini. The coffee was fine but can’t understand why saucers seemed to have disappeared from M & S Cafes. It must be easier and cheaper to wipe tables than wash saucers. Enjoyed the panini and the staff were friendly and helpful.
