The best restaurants in Stocksfield and Broomhaugh Northumberland North East

Went to this tearoom today only to find it’s closed and has been since mid December apparently, it says on here open now, shame because staff were very welcoming and food was good.

We walked quite a challenging path across fields to reach this delightful pub. The beer is good, the food from the mobile unit in the car park is tasty and the view is refreshing. Just to cap it all the landlord Chris has a lovely smile is obviously well liked by the locals.

Tried the venison burgers last night . Absolutely delicious. Highly recommend . 👌

My wife and I got married at Healey Barn in April 2025. We were lucky to have great weather on the day and the venue looked stunning for early Spring. All the staff were great, very professional and attentive to us and our guests. Behind the scenes the staff were so welcoming and accommodating during the planning phases. Always responded to messages within 24 hours via the easy to use portal. They were able to manage every request we had, even let us bring our own baristas in.

What a gift to come across this on the way to New Castle. Super friendly people, delicious cakes and a beautiful atmosphere.

Excellent service for the 19 members of our family group. There were no long waits while some were served and the food was delicious. Thank you to Kam and Jess for making our evening enjoyable

As a family we love Wheelbirks. It's a lovely place to visit especially in sunny weather though we rarely seem to manage that. (probably not their fault!) Went this week and it was surprisingly quiet. I had a sausage sandwich which was huge and very nice, my son had the pulled pork loaded fries which he found to be a bit too loaded with BBQ sauce so that every mouthful was just sauce flavoured. He only managed a few bites before it was too sickly for him.

This place has gone downhill since opening their new premises. Went in today for lunch before prebooked farmyard fn experience only to be told lunch would take an hour. They have opened so many tables that the staff can no longer cope. A place to avoid we walked out!
