The best restaurants in Central Darlington North East

What a little gem. Staff and service were great, and the pizza was the best I have ever had, and HUGE. And reasonably priced. Certainly recommend

Very much a locals pub hidden away in the town centre. Always plenty of real ales to try along with some regular beers and ciders. The main interest is the live bands which play here catering for all tastes in music. Helpful, friendly bar staff as well. Didn't try any food.

We both had the standard breakfast and coffee. Nicely cooked and presented and the coffee was good too. Decent value for money.

Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with my visit to Meze Turkish Restaurant. While the staff were friendly and welcoming, the overall experience didn’t live up to expectations, especially if you’re looking for authentic Turkish cuisine. The food lacked flavour, and the bread was noticeably hard. One of the biggest telltale signs for me that this wasn’t an authentic Turkish restaurant was how the dish was served: the meat was placed separately from the rice, rather than on top, which meant the rice didn’t absorb any of the rich oils and flavours from the meat something that’s so essential in traditional Turkish cooking. The atmosphere was also underwhelming. There was little to no vibe in the space, which made the dining experience feel quite flat. As it stands, I wouldn’t return for another meal.

Increíble comida y servicio. Delicioso pan tostado, seguido de un delicioso pastel. Excelente servicio. No puedo fallar nada.

Portions get smaller everytime I order so now very expensive for what you get. Also today chips had an extremely vile smell and taste… like old oil - had to bin them. Won’t be back now sadly, sorry

Lovely place! Food was freshly cooked and for two people's breakfast and drinks under 14 pound. Place was clean and service friendly highly recommend.

Gran servicio me encanta la pequeña sensación hogareña de la zona de la cafetería los precios son muy razonables el menú es muy tradicional volveremos a visitar pronto gracias.

Didn't get served 45mins before closing time

Disappointed. Sunday evening with menus for tapas on the tables which state until 9pm (no days mentioned) sat for 20 minutes deciding what to order to be told at the bar that the kitchen closes at 6pm! Take the menus off the tables or state the days! Apart from that it's nice inside, decent selection of drinks, going to colonel mustards now as starving!

Horrible! A su llegada apareció un encantador restaurante indio con personal amable. Estaba desesperada por el baño, así que me dirigí directamente a los baños y tan pronto como entré en el de las mujeres parecía que nunca habían visto un paño de limpieza o lejía. Miré en el baño del medio que parecía sucio alrededor del asiento... eso fue un no. Fui al baño de la esquina donde vi motas negras alrededor de la cisterna en el piso. Con una inspección más cercana, evidentemente fueron excrementos de ratón. Vivo en una granja, sé cómo son los excrementos de ratón. Había mucho en varios rincones de los baños femeninos, entendería un ratón pero el desastre era claramente de muchos. Dejé los baños inmediatamente sin usarlos. Nuestro amigo le dijo a un miembro del personal, después de que escuchamos gritos cerca de los baños, así que le pedí a otro amigo que viniera a echar un vistazo porque no comería en un lugar que tiene baños sucios. Cuando volvimos a los baños, un miembro del personal había estado “limpiando” los baños femeninos, pero todo parecía que habían hecho era rociar ambientador. Así que le mostré al personal dónde estaban los excrementos y me dijo que soy un mentiroso y que es parte del piso. El piso es crema, los excrementos son pequeños, negros y solo en esquinas. Nos fuimos después de terminar las bebidas ya pedidas. Además, la trona que me regalaron para mi bebé no se limpió, había migajas y suciedad en ella y la alfombra entre el comedor y los baños parecía que nunca había visto un hoover. Me disgusta que un establecimiento como este pueda mostrar una calificación de higiene de 5 * en la ventana cuando tienen ocupantes ilegales peludos y una clara falta de limpieza.
