As a tourist I wanted to support the independent businesses and was looking forward to coming for my royale after parkrun. The food was great but the service lacking. Despite being waited service I had to go and order my food with the waitress as I was waiting a long time, 1 x Royale and 1 x Latte. The food arrived looking lovely but no latte, ate the food and still no latte, chased it up with the waitress and still never arrived so chased it up again with the waiter this time, it arrived! With a little more attention to detail and better customer service it would be 5/5. FYI I'm an all round reasonable person.

Proper Italian coffee, freshly made Sicilian pastries and a friendly atmosphere. Lovely friendly staff and the bonus of a large screen television which shows Italian street and beach views. Now moved onto winter scenes. Will make pastries to order if you want to take to friends if you give them notice.

The food here is very well presented. Don't be fooled by the word tapas as the portions are generous and very tasty. Service is very friendly and there is a nice local buzz about the place

I give this restaurant all stars. It was absulutely perfect Saturday family dinner for us. Can confidently say this is one of the best Italian restaurants around here: the food was great and tasy; there was also small entertainment with live violin music and a personnel was quite kind to make a magic trick for our kid. Everyone was really very kind. (Toilets and tables were very clean). We will definetely come back here again.

Regal Spice used to be called the Regal Haandi. The name has changed but the great Indian food, friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere (not to mention the very reasonable prices) makes for a great dining experience. It is a "cozy" venue so I recommend booking if you can. They do takeaway too!

The 'jerk chicken' they serve here isn't actually jerk chicken. Really not sure what it is, the plate of food brought to us was more like a curry or a stew and the meat was very, very dry and over cooked. My girlfriend didn't eat it due to the fact it was so dry. Curried goat was nice enough though which we ended up sharing and the juice was nice. If you enjoy eating Carribean or Jamaican food I wouldn't order it from here. Can't reply to the owner's response so adding this to the above post via edit. Read my review properly! The curried goat was fine as was the juice. What I'm saying is that what you call 'jerk chicken' is not jerk chicken, I've eaten jerk for years. It was overcooked, stringy and completely devoid of any flavour. Do you think that the cheap price means it is fine that it tastes terrible? Sort it out. Really crumby reply from you guys trying to shift blame onto us for our bad experience at your cafe and saying we were asking for things that you didn't have as if that justifies you making an awful plate of food. Take it off your menu, you can't cook it. We like independent restaurants and want to support them, and we actually enjoyed the curry goat, but please never serve chicken to someone like that again and make sure it's fresh enough not to make someone ill because I have had a bad stomach this morning. Also my girlfriend doesn't need to be persecuted for muddling her words. Confusing the word milkshake with smoothie is an easy mistake and she even said sorry when she realised she had. We're hestitant to insult owners of an independent restaurant but at the same time you've insulted carribean food with that 'jerk chicken.'
