Salty Restaurant Ltd in Richmond upon Thames

You have to spend a minimum of 21.50 per person, regardless of session time! The place had a lovely vibe and the music was perfect for the session I had with my friends. BUT the pricing model on this cafe is very divisive, the session costs £6.50 plus a £15 per person minimum spend on food and drink. This restriction means you have to spend a minimum of £21.50 for each person, is the reason I will not return here. I would greatly appreciate a time limit so that booths can be cleared faster and people don't overstay, or a smaller minimum spend per person. Mind you for a whole day £21.50 is not bad at all, so if you wanted to spend a whole day there fantastic. However, if you wanted to pop in for a quick session, you would still have to pay the total amount, which for me is unacceptable.

I took some ribs for my main and only course. It took about 30 min for the food to come out, the ribs were lukewarm at best. Additionally, the ribs were very spicy, which isn't mentioned on the menu. I guess if you are into spicy food you should try the ribs. They were otherwise quite mediocre. Portion was generous enough. Very hard to get waiter's attention, they don't look around when moving between tables. Ended up going to the bar to get my bill. I used to go to this place occasionally before the new ownership, specifically for the sweet and sour ribs. Even under the new ownership, in early 2024, I enjoyed some bbq ribs. They were not at all spicy. Will not return until either variety of the old, non spicy ribs are back.

Celebramos el Día de la Madre en la Tap Tavern en Richmond y fue maravilloso! El asado estaba delicioso, con carnes perfectamente cocidas (carne de res y cerdo) y una gran selección de guarniciones que a todos les encantaron. El servicio fue excepcional — personal atento y amable que no podía hacer lo suficiente por nosotros. Si buscas un buen asado en un ambiente relajado te recomiendo encarecidamente! Nos fuimos contentos y llenos ya planeando nuestra próxima visita : )

Estaba muy decepcionado con mi reciente visita. Los precios se han duplicado, y mi favorito se ha eliminado del menú debido a un cambio reciente. El restaurante solía tener un encanto acogedor, pero parece que han quitado la decoración y posiblemente han rediseñado el interior para una sensación más “clásica” – desafortunadamente, ha perdido mucho carácter. Solía venir aquí regularmente y era uno de mis favoritos, pero esta vez las porciones eran notablemente más pequeñas, los precios más altos y la calidad general había bajado. Qué lástima verlo bajar cuesta abajo.
