Great food and the best staff. A wonderful local. The apricot croissants are my favourite and the eggs and avo breakfast is very very nice. Had breakfast in here passing through Twickenham and it was pretty bad. The staff were nice enough but the bread was stodgy and had lumps of bicarb or flour in it, the avocado smash had too much lemon, the fried eggs were really greasy and the presentation was completely amateur. Oh and the plate had a large chip in it. It was so bad I couldn't bring myself to mention it to the staff so took the coward's approach... I think this might be a better place for coffee and not eating. I usually love my Friday morning breakfast

We had a coffee here recently and were very disappointed. My friend ordered a chai latte and I had a flat white. Though the flavours were nice both drinks were barely warm. We were in a hurry so didn't have time to complain and get a replacement or have them heated up. With so many good choices of coffee shops in Twickenham I don't think I'll be returning

The only reason I can think of why someone might post a 1* review of this place these days, is if they owned a coffee shop down the road... Hand on heart I can honestly say there is nowhere I'd rather have a coffee in SW London than Sapori. And their Italian themed lunches are out of this world, with a range of gorgeous breads, meats and cheeses to choose from, as well as an array of naughty sweets and pastries. Would be remiss of me to not namecheck Julian as well, probably one of the nicest, friendliest and down to earth men you could wish to fritter away an afternoon of small talk with. Wishing him and his marvellous café the very best.

😵 £3.50 for a microscopic luke warm froth bomb tasteless decaf latte! There is a 70p surcharge on decaf, why? I have coffee's each week in Mayfair and sloan Square, where they cost £2.60, why on earth this place charges such extortionate prices I cannot understand. Never ever again. P. S I have seen better atmospheres in documentary's about old peoples homes in the 1980s. Oh, and it's about as Italian as Brian Sewell.

I love an independent coffee shop. The decor, the food, even the menus all let you know that this is not fun of the mill. Of course there is also a risk that it might not be up to scratch but definitely not in this case. The atmosphere was lovely . Great music, cute little tables and menus. The front was open so we could enjoy the weather. I loved my breakfast. Lovely runny free range eggs, on perfectly toasted multi seed bread with a gorgeous tangy, slightly chilli avocado crush. The staff were friendly and helpful and the tiles in the bathroom are gorgeous. (And the bathroom was very clean) Sadly I have to leave here now!

I came into the cafe moody and hot because of the sun today, but I was instantly greeted with warm smiles that cheered me up.There was three people working today and it was very hectic and the way they handled all the orders were very professional and they looked like they knew what they were doing.the attitude they have at the cafe is so cheerful and the energy they have is very positive. This girl with plaits made my coffee today and it was absolutely delicious it had just the right amount of froth and chocolate on top.She was also very polite and kind as she also made my dog a bowl of water.so it was very nice to see that they care for their customers very well including the dogs ,it was also nice to see how they greet the other customers so nicely.I felt very welcomed ,so I will definitely come back again.it was an absolutely lovely experience

Very hit and miss with the coffee, but so is every cafe within close proximity. £4.10 for a regular vanilla latte with oak milk is a scandal too. Unfortunately, I can’t make it my daily coffee with a price like that. Came back here this weekend. Food came out wrong first & this was the corrected version. Scrambled egg on toast, wouldn’t see it in the worst of greasy spoons.

If this is THE Angelo's then I have huge nostalgia for this place. I grew up in the area and Angelo's was the best and most popular Italian restaurant in the 80's when I was a boy. Always remembered Angelo always brought the cheque to check on the service..food and staff were legendary. Many years later I visited once and it seemed that the evening fine dining had shifted into a light café setting, they also sold pasta for homecooking. I have always wondered about this eatery, and I hope it shows how memorable and good the food was. It has been 30 years, I can't wait one day to visit again. God bless.

Understaffed and overwhelmed even on an ordinary weekday at 2pm. Has it changed hands? Seemed like thinly disguised chaos. Priority given to online orders; no chance of getting served (partially due to one of the 2 staff having to run to Tescos for supplies). Can't comment on food as never received any! So very disappointed. Went here for a quick sandwich from where Angelo used to be. Pleasant enough staff but that’s where it ends. Half baked Ciabatta out of one of those multipacks from the super market. Meat and cheese filled it. No seasoning, no dressing. They warmed up the ciabatta but is wasn’t cooked through so it was stale. This isn’t an Italian Deli is people making sandwiches out of supermarket ingredients. You could make a much better sandwich without any effort for a third of the price. Come back Angelo that was a true Italian deli and produce.

Since the charming and rather lovable Julian took over Sarpori, he has clearly injected a real sense of his passion for fine food and fine coffee and in doing so created rather a little sanctuary just up from the high street, somehow away from the hustle and bustle of Twickenham in the main, although within easy walking distance. If you're looking for a scrumptious lunch, the range of Italian meats, cheeses and toasted breads is enticing and quite delicious. Pastries, pastas and enticing salads complete the menu and i'm enjoying slowly working my way through them all! Finally, it has to be said, Sapori's coffee has got to be a strong contender for the best in Twickenham. All this and all whilst not slipping in to the danger zone of being pretentiously unaffordable. A real gem in a sea of mediocre cafes and restaurants in Twickenham. Definitely worthy of 5 stars.

My partner and I come here regularly! It's a lovely, friendly cafe with a good selection of cafe style food and excellent coffee! The owners, Andrea and Ingrid, are awesome! They do freshly prepared pizzas and sandwiches/panini, as well as salads and English breakfasts (on Saturdays). As mentioned in a previous review, the pastas are not freshly prepared, however this is to be expected in a cafe due to the limited kitchen facilities and also that they are not, and do not claim to be, a restaurant! I will say that the pastas they serve are lovely and great for the price though and definitely recommend their Lasagna! They also serve alcohol! We always bring our friends and family here and everyone says how nice it is! Definitely recommend you visit, if you're looking for an affordable meal, accompanied by beautiful coffee!

There seems to be a couple of reviews on here that just, simply, must have visited a completely different restaurant. This coffee shop has a great selection of food and drink, plus it hands down does the nicest coffee you can find in Twickenham. I personally, won't ever get my coffee from anywhere else. The venue is a nice and cosy size, exactly what you want from a coffee shop and the food varies from pizza to pasta (as you'd expect from the Italian owners!!!) and in as many ways as they can facilitate, is made fresh. That does mean that some of the meals are heated up or prepared in advance, but it is all still authentic and quality form real Italian suppliers. The owners themselves are great, so funny and warming. They are honest and to the point, but that's so Italian and so refreshing. You would be a fool to not visit here if you are in Twickenham and an absolute idiot to not enjoy it.

Served the saltiest pasta ever, 3 of 4 dinners were sent back, I was then charged for 3 dinners , the attitude of the staff was poor when I complained , the bill changed again, I asked for the service charge to be removed. The waiter who I believe is one of the managers snatched the bill from my hand in a very aggressive manner. We received no apology and a semi lecture on dining etiquette.Oh how I laughed. If you choose pizza or pasta this is what they can make, anything else their the fine dining skills do not exist. Spanish restaurant across the road us a better option. The restaurant was busy and it is clear it is understaffed and cannot cope with a full house. The attitude of the staff is what disappointed us most, every chef has a bad day. Never again will we return and would suggest to everyone do not go here, there are plenty of other options available nearby.
