Masaniello in Richmond upon Thames

One of the best Italian restaurants in London. The pizza is actually better than the pizza we had in Florence. Brilliant Neoplitan pizza. Fresh ingredients. Also the mushroom vegetarian Ravioli pasta was excellent. Prices were worth it. I'd highly recommend visiting.

Without a shadow of a doubt this is the best pizza in Twickenham. The staff are all lovely and the service is great. We go all the time and it’s fantastically consistent as well. Nice casual, welcoming atmosphere and some great wines. Highly recommended by a self confessed pizza addict.

Worst Italian food I’ve eaten!! Drowning in oil and some awful taste, tuna steak covered in salt!!!

A truly beautiful experience. Me and my partner went here for dinner, and we will definitely be going back. We chose to sit outside the front. Service was very efficient and fast. The food was absolutely to die for! It was incredible, truly. It is definitely worth it! The staff were also very friendly and smiley. Also - perfect portion sizes.

We recently dined at Masaniello, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was simply outstanding—each dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. What really made the evening special, though, was the service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed to care about our dining experience. They were knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. A special thank you to our waitress from Spain; she was incredibly kind and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Her warm personality and thoughtful suggestions truly enhanced our dining experience. Overall, Masaniello offers not just a meal, but a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended!

We ended up me and my friend in twickenham after a long walk, and we saw this restaurant and decided to have lunch there .. The food was delicious and the staff were really friendly .. I highly recommend this place

Gnocchi were good, casserole with seafood was average, lot of mussels but a few pieces of fish and one shrimp. Deserts are not worth at all, don’t take them. Bread brought sliced some time ago and felt dried up. But pizza is very good! One of the best in Twickenham. Choose wisely 😉

Been there on Tuesday evening for a meal with some friends and we had a girl named Martha (Spanish) got our order. Not even one small, fake smile at least from her. I think she did not liked us. Food great as always. And one more thing. In the menu says service charger applies to 5px or more and we were only 3. And on the bill were mentioned 6px. Thanks for your customer service, Martha.

Years ago, I loved this place. However, I went recently with my partner and it was below average. Perhaps a bad night……. Pasta was not good and my Sicilian partner couldn’t even finish hers. Mine was simply about as good as what I could do quickly at home. I may try again assuming this was a one off, but we were more than disappointed.

I have been coming to this lovely restaurant for many years and the standard has always been very good. An authentic Italian restaurant with lovely friendly staff. Located on Church Street near the River Thames. A perfect venue for family occasions. Highly recommended. The restaurant has a very loyal following from local people.

Like a visit to Naples...very nice. We brought our grandkids with us this time around. Masaniello is still preparing and serving wonderful Italian dishes.

We were down at Twickers for the Premier rugby final Walking around after a pint or two down on the river we came to this place Looking at the menu it seemed very well priced for this area so initially thought it might be a risk but nothing could be future from the truth it is brilliant! We had the antipasto starter and two small (not) pizzas along with a few more beers and only paid £62 and that included £6 tip which was included on the bill Not sure I liked that bit but overall this is a great place to visit We didnt book but it was starting to get very busy when we left ( Friday night ) So if you want a really good meal with great service and well priced go here

Attended prior to the prem rugbt final, so the restaurant was brimming with enthusiasm. A warm welcome and attentive service throughout. I believe it was the manager serving us and she was fantastic. The prawns special was first class. The antipasti was authentic and flavoursome. Wood fired pizza was beautifully presented, crisp and mouth watering. Will be returning with my wife in the near future.

I'm local and I've been coming here for years and it's the best Italian restaurant in Twickenham. Run by Italians it has a simple menu and authentic cuisine. The pizzas are amazing with quality ingredients and my girlfriend loves the seafood pasta. I have tried all the Italian restaurants on Church Street and this is by far the best quality and the best value for money. If that wasn't enough the staff and owners are lovely!

The very best in London and I am Neapolitan. The owner greeted us and they all made us feel at home. I had Vesuvio and my boyfriend had Focosa and focaccia to start. All food is authentic and Neapolitan style. The place is cosy and traditional.

Nice place and the service is good. I believe the food should be ok and I have been just unlucky to get over-burnt pizza (it was visually obvious but still served). Maybe another time it will be better. I will give this place another chance but the first encounter was slightly disappointing.

Went in here on the way to Twickenham Rugby with my partner and we were so glad we chose it. After looking at other restaurants in the local area, we went here because of the appealing menu, reasonable prices and welcoming exterior. The staff were very efficient, helpful and friendly. They managed to fit us in, when they could have easily turned us away. Instead they seated us at a table for 20 mins in between reservations, then moved us to a different free table for the remainder of the time. We were more than happy to do this rather than waiting around, and we appreciated the effort. The food was absolutely delicious. We had homemade bread and olives to share, followed my pork sausage pasta and hamsik pizza (we shared everything). Very fresh, excellent flavours and authentic. All in all it came to £44 including two soft drinks, excellent value for money in london we thought! I would highly recommend both the pasta and the pizza. Service is prompt and we left full and happy!

We have been loyal customers of this restaurant for a long time and have cherished memories, especially from my son's birthday celebration. However, our recent visit for my husband's birthday was disappointing. While the outside tables were occupied, the inside of the restaurant was unusually dark and mostly vacant. The staff seemed rushed, constantly moving dishes to the outdoor area. Our main course was delayed by over 20 minutes, making us feel as if the inside seating was being neglected. There was also a constant big noise from the bar area, as if something was repeatedly being dropped. I remember the staff and owner being very friendly in the past, but this time it felt different. Regarding the food, it was average with a lack of flavors, very small portion, not as outstanding as before, and it felt very overpriced.

I’ve been meaning to dine at this place for ages and as my friend and I fancied Italian we thought we’d give this a go. Inside the place unfortunately smells a bit like an old stale pub that has beer on the floor! It feel a bit grubby. Service was hit and miss where some servers were friendly and accommodating and some just cold and clearly hated their job! Anyway we were here for the food which I must say was great! We had the GAMBERONI ARLECCHINO: to share which was massive butterflied prawns in a lovely buttery sauce. We had half a pizza of Forza Napoli and half of the pasta dish of Cavatelli both perfectly cooked and so nice of the kitchen to split the dish for us. We had the pistachio tiramisu (oragasmic) and mango cheesecake. Food really was amazing. So glad i finally ticked it off my list.

What an evening…the waiter was really friendly, accommodating and professional. He assisted us all evening till closing time with kindness, friendliness and pro service. We started with some fried calamari and small fried bites…delicious! The pizza were 🔝in true authentic Naples styles, flawless. The dessert was the winner of the night though: pistacchio tiramisu. I could have eaten 3/4 portions easy. Please please go to visit we need these places in London (for native Italians)!

Excellent food, wonderfully nice people and great service. We (two couples) have now gone here 4 or 5 times together. This place is just amazing. If it wasn’t simply great, we wouldn’t have gone twice. We are so happy with Masaniello’s we are going this coming Saturday (and probably the Friday after) again.

This is an extraordinary place to enjoy authentic Neapolitan food. Pizza is excellent here. The crust is so tender and you can feel the freshness of the ingredients. The size is very generous. Highly recommended!

Lovely little restaurant serving authentic Italian food. Went in on Saturday without a booking and were accommodated straight away. Excellent service and high chairs available for our two babies. Pizza was one of the best I have tasted and we can’t wait to return again soon
