M2 PIZZA PASTA in Richmond upon Thames

Most inviting place to eat with the friendliest of staff and delicious food. I would highly recommend M2 pizza pasta for anyone!

The food is great, it's let down however by a very cold and inattentive service. Only 2 young teenagers covering 12 or so tables whilst also helping the kitchen finish off dishes before serving them means that customers are neglected, and we werent the only ones i could hear the table behind commenting on the same things as us. THEN there's the fact that they add 10% charge to EACH ITEM you ordered when they total up the bill, which leaves you feeling somewhat cheated and if you don't really want to give an £8 tip and have to state this verbally youre being deliberately put in an embarrassing position in the hopes that you just accept the charge. I don't feel I should be being tricked into tipping especially for such lacklustre and careless service.

Lovely meal, pizza and pasta, very filling

As a family, we always enjoy our meals. I only wanted a small meal, and they were happy to oblige, considering that my grandson wanted an adult pizza.

We ordered takeaway on Sunday and it was amazing delicious penne m2 and penne carbonara for the whole family

Absolutely disgusted by this terrible excuse of a 'restaurant' the staff were rude and mean, they took ages to serve us due to chatting in the corner, the plates were filthy and the food was disgusting, tasted worse than anything you could imagine. One staff member was giving us dirty looks the whole time and we felt so uncomfortable. Overpriced and charged us £15 service charge for their terrible service. Don't go here, they don't deserve to be in business.

Very disappointed. Please do not come here if you are looking for food that tastes good. Had the carbonara and it was swimming in cream. Ham was undercooked and wasn’t much of it. Absolutely no flavour. Couldn’t eat any of it and returned it. Waitress went to tell the chef and he threw his hands up in the air. No apology from anyone for the fact I couldn’t eat the food. Will not be returning. Please don’t waste your money here. Also walls next to the table were filthy. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Lovely family run restaurant with amazing pizzas, pasta and salads. Super friendly service no matter how busy they are. UpDate: still as lovely as always. The hot American is my favourite. And the service is always excellent. Love this place

Been my favourite for years however I recently visited and unfortunately won’t ever be returning. The pizza tastes completely different and was extremely greasy like I was eating from a takeaway! Also after returning home I was throwing up. Such a shame as I have been coming here since with my family since I been a baby but now won’t be returning as the pizza tastes not nice as completely different.

Been there with friends. Loved the food and service was great. I just feel like the place was too bright and could use warmer lights. Also would be great if there was some music playing. Still will go back though

Food was very good. It was quiet but it was New Year's day..... biggest disappointment is they think its OK to add 10% gratuity to bill..... in my opinion that's the customers choice.....

Would have been 5 star. However, I question the amount they charge for drink. Yes, I am fully aware there is a markup, but £5.65 for a 330ml bottle of Moretti or £3.60 for really small bottles of Coke and £24 for a bottle of wine!!!! Of course, some will say we didn't have to have a drink or could've just had water, which is true, but that should be a choice made because I didn't want a drink not because the price is ridiculous!!. Its sad really as the food was lovely and the staff were good, but for me I feel they are fleecing thier customers.

Ordered a takeaway for 3. Very impressed. Clear & concise order repeated. Great front of house welcome. Food piping hot. Pizzas were delicious & perfectly cooked. Pasta was tasty & Al Dente. Brushetta full of flavour.

im going overthere first time.. and i have very bad experience. staff was not nice they don’t know about indegredients. i found a lilttle hair in my pasta.. and feel vomit, i forget to click picture when i was found hair.. really for me pasta was really worst.. zero rating i give to M2pizaa..

I must say. We were looking for somewhere mid range. Not to expensive but not to cheap. Food 9 out of 10. Service 10 out of 10. Food was nice and hot. All fresh as a daisy. Mid range price with top price food. It's sad we don't live up near here. If I had one thing to say. But you must understand I'm being picky. I wouldn't cook the pizza in a tin. We use the flat professional trays. You get a way better puffy crust.

I buy my takeaway pizzas here which are excellent, I don't think I've tasted better. I have eaten here a few times but find its a bit like sitting in a shop, staff are excellent

Lovely restaurant. Catered for our kids leaving party due to us relocating. I don't suppose for a minute we were easy to work with bearing in mind it was a party for 20 odd kids, but everyone had a smile on their face, served top quality food and were extremely pleasant to deal with and it didn't cost the earth which was appreciated. Thanks for a lovely party! We enjoyed it so much as did all the children. Highly recommend :)

If I could rate 0 star it would be better . This restaurant is the most racist place I've ever been . We have asian background and as soon as we enter the restaurant there was a young engilish girl that came to us and said you can NOt seat Just wait outside .Although there was alot of empty tables and no reservation . We waited there for long and no one offer a table to us and they even didn't apologise . We just left as this attitude was really unacceptable from whole the team specially the brunette english girl . I can't believe this poor costumer service and poor attitude from these people . The reply if the owner is not true at all . First of all whole the tables were cleaned and empty . Second no one ask us politly to wait outside the way the waitress talked to me was really unacceptable and Cc tv can not record voice so again another lie . Theres is also no sign to wait outside . We did not chose to leave the restaurant as we experience rasism we decided to leave the restaurant and no one came to apologise . I believe the owner wants to deny so other people don't recognise this place humiliate you and that depends on your background .

Worst experience ever. Food really bad - creamy sauce it's just plain cream, frozen vegetables with no seasoning; everything tasteless, and very greasy. Cheap, poor quality pizza cheese, stale chicken. Long waiting times and bad/indifferent service. Big disappointment - do not recommend!!!

When you go to a place and feel conned! I went to have a Pizza there today; ordered a Bruschetta and a simple Margherita pizza. I asked for Oregano and chilli flakes for my Pizza, which is offered as a standard thing at any pizza place. So I was surprised that when the bill came, they had charged me extra £1.35 as itemized Extras. I asked the waitress and she said it’s for the Chilli Flakes! And when I questioned her ( especially as nobody told me beforehand or it’s mentioned anywhere on their menu that it’ll be extra), she was pretty nonchalant about it and couldn’t care less! I had gone in with a pleasant feeling though came out feeling really bad and felt duped. The place might have a full house considering they have a monopoly with not many Italian places on the high street though it’s definitely NOT a place with a full heart and good customer service…. well! A big thumbs down from me!

Overall experience was good. The place was quite which I liked, staff service was great,food was ready within 15min which is quite quick. I ordered pizza which was alright but the middle part was wet and every time I picked a piece all the contents on it would fall off. Also, chicken and pepper could have been cutted in smaller pieces. Portion size was decent and prices are reasonable, except the soft drinks.

Prices on website different to what’s in the menu. Optional gratuity charged without asking, does not appear on your receipt. Pizza was small and rock hard, base burnt underneath. No olive oil available to pour on the top. Is this really Italian pizza place? Soft drinks prices are ridiculous £3.60 for small bottle (275ml) of soft drink. Not worth hard earned money. Restaurant itself is outdated, not very clean and a little creepy. Waitress could not remember 2 items we have ordered. There is more bad about this place than good. Avoid if you don’t want to be disappointed. Rest of reviews must be fake so don’t rely on google reviews in full.

My wife and I had a lovely time here. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was good and reasonably priced. Looking forward to coming back.

What a disappointment!! Having been here many times over the years and always had good service, our visit tonight has put us off ever returning. We booked a table and were sat at the window despite asking not to be we were given no choice. A family of four came in after us and were sat on the table next to us. After waiting for 15 minutes we had not been approached to take our drink order and in fact we were ready by this time to order drinks and food. A waitress came and took the order of the table that had arrived after us and after she had finished she went to walk away and I called her back and I asked if she could take our order as well. She looked at me and didn’t respond and instead went to tend to people waiting at the door. She then came back three times to clean the table next to us in the window for those people and completely ignored us. She then delivered drinks and starters to the table of four who arrived after us and still did not approach us to take our order. So M2, if you are wondering what happened to the couple in the corner who booked a table for 7.30, it was at this point that we left after 25 minues of being completely ignored and went to Tamanna’s instead where had drinks and had ordered our food within 5 minutes of being seated and had fantastic service throughout and they clearly valued our business. We will return to Tamanna’s, but not to you.

Asked for chili with the pizza, chef got clever and poured loads on it before cooking. Cesar salad had prepackaged chicken from what looked like Tesco. Dressing was bland. Will not be going back

The food and service was excellent. My only regret was that neither of us had room for dessert. Highly recommended and will return.

Managed to fit us in within without booking. My pizza was very nice and didn't have to wait long considering how busy it was (a couple of parties of 6+). Price is very reasonable. Overall an excellent local restaurant.

I like the food. I just want the menu to look different. Menu does not say what is vegetarian what is gluten free or what is Vegan. Very old fashioned look of the Menu. Staff was good which helped with the Menu.

Been a loyal customer for over 20 years but they suddenly added a 10% compulsory service charge to my bill last time I went on a table for 4. Why? There is an option for adding tips on the card machine..always has been. I am happy to leave a tip but not a compulsory one. Shan't be going back until its removed. Stupid business move.

Gem of a place in the heart of Ashford. Friendly staff, speedy service and a simple menu with really tasty pizza and pasta dishes. I really enjoyed the penne con funghi and will be coming back again to try the canneloni.

Very nice Italian restaurant, I had the lasagne lots of tomato & mozzarella garlic bread was delicious. Very pleasant young lady serving us. I felt safe with the screens and covid protection in place. An all round good experience, will definitely be back again.

We ordered a take away from here tonight. Service was quick and friendly, we called up and the pizza was ready in 10 minutes. The pizzas were hot, delicious, full of flavour and not at all oily like some take away pizzas. I would definitely recommend and we can't wait to have another take away from here very soon!
