Piazza Firenze in Richmond upon Thames

Such a disappointment. The food was average to boring, (except the side dish of spinach which was inedible! Frozen and reheated mush) However, the biggest disappointment, and the thing that spoiled the experience for us, was the way our party was treated by the staff, with distain and eye rolling, to the point that the younger members of our group didn’t feel they should ask for anything. We were a cordial family group of more than 16 people, gathered together from around the country for a birthday celebration, not at all difficult or rude, in fact we tried to counter the obvious rudeness of the staff (mainly the main man serving us) with extra politeness, but to no avail. Suffice to say we will not be returning, nor recommending this restaurant to anyone in Teddington. I’m wondering if the staff are at all suited to the job they have chosen, and judging by the lack of other customers eating in the place, I rather think we are not the only people wondering the same thing.

Pizza Firenze is our to go family restaurant. The menu, service, food is superb. They will accommodate any request and the restaurant always has such a relaxed feeling. My favourite is the gamberoni starter and lasagna main. Thank you x

Service was pleasant. Food not good, grilled asparagus stone cold, obviously just out of the refrigerator, not fresh. Pizzas were limp like the asparagus. Calamari was good.

Lovely staff - very speedy service. Wine was lovely and good value. Food was nice and well-priced too - pasta tasted fresh and had good portions. Pudding was a letdown as it was just a microwaved sticky toffee pudding with bad ice cream.

The food in here is not very good. Very tasteless, chicken was like rubber. Calzone was just pretty much spinach only. Lots of oil in sauces too. It's one to avoid. I've been feeling sick ever since I left.

Great Italian food and service. The lady was so kind I ordered Lasagna because I thought it was vegetarian dishes, but it's not that. they cooperated with us, and they didn't charge us when we returned it back.

Simply divine food, I had calves liver, mash potatoes, spinach, and a glass of wine. Lunch time special. And a very generous portion of tiramisu. Yum

Second time my wife and I dined here. First time was excellent. But this time was terrible. I ordered the stuffed red pepper. What came out was 1/2 of a pepper. I ordered the Toscana pizza. There was no sausage on it but lots of pancetta. My wife ordered the Funghi pizza and asked for peppers to be put on it. The waitress said sure, red or green peppers? My wife said green. What came out was pepperoncini (yellow, hot). But what made this experience worse was the group of 40 teenagers booked in. All the servers focused on them. We waited forever for our pizzas. No one checked back at out table. I had a hard time getting a second glass of wine. The noise, the lack of service, and the big group getting priority only added insult to getting disappointing food. Both pizzas were disappointing. The red pepper appetiser was a half portion. We may try this location again to give them another chance, but I'd say two things -- 1. if it's busy, especially with large parties, walk out. And 2. don't order the pizzas. Like I said, the first time we ate there it was excellent -- because we had pasta dishes.

We came for a friend's get together The food came quickly and service was good I had the ravioli. The portion was large but the gorgonzola became a bit overwhelming towards the end of the dish. The others on the table also enjoyed their food

This is one of the 3 restaurants in Teddington where I am happy to eat. Killer negronis. Proper pizza from a proper pizza oven. The set meal represents remarkably good value. The owner is frequently in attendance. Nothing is too much trouble for her or her charming staff. There is a genuine and tangible sense of hospitality.... and the room is spacious, airy and welcoming . Thank you Piazza Firenze! See you in 2023.

As a lover of Italian cuisine I can say with certainty that the pizza feels like home. The pasta was just perfectly cooked and in the right quantities. The environment is simply wonderful. It has a very positive energy and you feel very friendly inside the shop. Very good prices. I would say economical in relation to the quality. Impeccable service. An activity for small children. Simply perfect

From the lunch menu- Muscles tasted out of date (some still closed and the others I couldn’t eat). My partners pasta dish was bland which I tasted- I could cook better with no culinary experience, no check back on food from the waiter. Every time we come here we are never disappointed. The pizzas are very well made, put into their clay oven, and taste absolutely amazing! My daughter says they taste 10x better than pizza express 😉 The risottos are also delicious, the lunch deals are the best! The staff are genuinely friendly and there's a lovely homey atmosphere here. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing pizza- pasta place in Teddington. They have great selection of vegetarians dish, if there is something you like to change from menu they happily do it for you. Pizza is fantastic and when you have the pasta they give you a good portion. The food is so delicious & such a good price. All the staff are lovely and friendly. This has become like my second home as my kids loves this place. We have been visiting regularly for many years since they have opened, as its very local to us. if they are busy on weekends they always find table for us. I have taken my family and many friends & they all loved it.😊 They also have take away service lunch and dinner. you can order over the phone or while you wait. Super fast. As I love Italian food I must say this is the one the best Italian restaurant in Teddington. Traditional home feeling. Delicious food, great atmosphere, children friendly, helpful staff. Every time we visit Teddington we make a beeline for this wonderful restaurant. It's always the same high standard, friendly and the staff are always so very helpful. The food is delicious and I would recommend this restaurant as a must to visit and enjoy. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

The starters some of them were quite obvious that were just token out of the freezer and cooked but the salads or the bruschetta were great, tomato not too soft or to oily. Pizzas were great, straight from the oven and the pastas were delicious as well! Overall decent atmosphere and staff ,so good experience☺️

Lovely long standing Italian on Teddington High Street. Service is always friendly and attentive, food does not disappoint, beautiful, tasty and well presented. Prices are good when you take in the quality of food. Five starters, mains, two deserts and drinks for £160. My regular drop-off point whenever I'm in the area, well worth a visit, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

BEST PIZZA IN WEST LONDON! Incredible food - flavoursome and beautiful. Amazing service - you can tell these guys have a genuine passion for hospitality and love what they do; everybody is well looked after. A real 'centre of the community' feeling about this place. My husband and I popped in today for lunch having not been in before. We were greeted warmly and quickly shown to our table. The restaurant was very bright and spacious with good social distancing measures in place. The menu options were good with a wide variety of dishes. I was blown away with my pasta dish as was my husband with his pizza dish from the set menu. The spices and flavours were delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We could not thank Michelle and the staff enough for hosting our meal for our sons christening. We had a party of 30 and they could not have been more accommodating! They made us feel so welcome and worked with us to create a menu for our guests. Michelle put up all our decorations and made the place look lovely! 100% recommend for an event and the food was amazing! Thank you so so much!!

The change of ownership did not include an improvement on quality. The most basic Pizza, Napolitana, is now sold as a Margerita, but you are charged £ 5 extra for a few capers and 4 slices of anchovies. £ 16 for a pizza and a beer? amazing how they can survive.

We came to eat here as it used to be a favourite place to eat before we moved away from the area, and having returned for a day I can say it is as nice as it was before. the food was excellent as was the service, we will be going again should we ever be in Teddington.

No doubt, this place is a joke... I definitely encourage everyone not to order food here due to their lack of professionalism. I placed my order through Deliveroo (one risotto & one calzone). The risotto was delivered as expected, but the calzone was replaced by a Fiorentina pizza, which we couldn't eat due to allergy reasons. Deliveroo helped me placing a new order, which was wrong again. Another pizza was delivered instead of the calzone and almost doubled the expected waiting time. Still, it was warm when delivered, so I guess the restaurant didn't cook it when it was supposed to be done. The Deliveroo website describes very well the restaurant's calzone: "Folded pizza with spinach, mozzarella, ricotta, pepperoni topped with a pizzaiola sauce". It doesn't seem that hard to me. I doubt the late cooking and delivery was a coincidence, as it made it impossible to place a proper complaint because the restaurant was already closed. So, in the end, I got a cold pizza that I had to throw into the bin, followed by another wrong pizza that I couldn't claim. This was my first time ordering here, and there were two failures in a row, making it impossible to ask for my order with no mistakes for the third time and being the same (already amended) order. Shame!

Food was good and the service friendly and efficient.Social distancing was well done with hand sanitiser available and screens separating tables. One of the waiting staff wore a mask but since half the time it was covering only their chin rather than their mouth and nose it seemed a bit pointless and not very reassuring!

We absolutely love this restaurant and eat here regularly. The food was as usual absolutely delicious 😋. My concern was regarding the total lack of social distancing by the staff. Masks were worn in a haphazard manner, under noses, around the chin etc. Even this did not bother me but what did worry me was the way that one member of the team (she looked like the manager and she wore her mask under her chin and wore one rubber glove . The same glove was worn the entire time we were there. I don't know why she wore the glove) did not adhere to any social distancing at all. She came so near to me whilst talking to me on several occasions. They were so busy but no body else appeared to be alarmed by her close proximity. Once we were there I felt awkward to say anything though I did move back every time she talked to me. The restaurant was busy and the service a little slow but again this was not my complaint. They even had screens across each table to separate customers... Firenze, if you are reading this please remind your team to either stay a safe distance away or wear a mask around their mouth and nose, when speaking with customers. I love coming to your restaurant but I don't think I will return for a long while if this issue is not sorted out.

Our daughter recommended this restaurant to us as we are pizza fans. I had a Ricolletta and my husband had Fiorenina. Both lovely and finished with a very nice Tiramasu. Impressed with hygiene and wearing of masks. Recommend. We will return.

Had dinner on the 12th of August. It was very busy due to the government scheme, which is great for small businesses. We had pizza and Rissotto which was delicious. The staff were brilliant and we felt comfortable with the Covid measures in place. We would highly recommend Piazza Firenze. If you want to go Mon - Weds I would recommend booking a table.

Enjoyed meals here twice a week for the last 8 months. Tried to get a table tonight to be told I needed to book. In on Sunday and no mention of booking. Advised to come back tomorrow when they will have tables. Not be 50% off then. So much for very regular customers. Will not go again.

For the last 6 months ate here twice a week. Last on Sunday. Went tonight to be told I had to book although no mention on Sunday or last Thursday. Obviously just a number and no customer relationships. As usual it will only be half full without government help. Will not go back and advise others to do same. Go somewhere that appreciates you and your money..

Might be due to current climate? but kids dough balls, cold! Cucumber!dry/dehydrated all three kids left them on there plates! Which made me want to try it for myself! Felt like it had been in the fridge all day! (How hard is it to slice cucumber fresh)? My calamari starter gave me jaw ache, so I left most of it and my pizza at best! Below average! The girl’s enjoyed there pizza which is a+!But I can’t say I will be returning. :(

Great pizzas for a Saturday night! Not the cheapest but you definitely get what you pay for - it's delicious food. We were also very impressed with the chips. And we only waited about 25mins (ordering 6:45pm). Would recommend

We visited on Saturday afternoon, despite the restaurant being very full and busy due to Rugby, the food and service was excellent, all the staff cheerful and the food delicious. We’ve been before and will be back.

I ordered via deliveroo and it took the restaurant 20 mins to decline my order, leaving me in a pickle for dinner. Disappointing.
