Classy, relaxed brunch restaurant. Post of a small chain - my friend enjoyed her packed egg and mushroom dish, I had a salmon filet with a choice of 3 salads. All very fresh, tasty and good value for the location. Nice fresh mint tea too.
We did not visit the restaurant, so we could not judge from previous experience. We chose it from a well known delivery company website. It was local and strangely rated quite high! It was only chosen because our regular restaurant did not appear to be offering takeaways at the time. We ordered 2 kebabs for starters and 2 curries. Starters were bitty, not particularly well spiced, and coarse in texture, not sufficiently minced. The salad provided was barely enough for one person, one slice of lemon between two! Tight or what? Chicken curry was extremely poor. Meat was dry and tough, as though it had been precooked. Certainly not fresh. The curry sauce was oily and not particularly appetising. A very poor meal overall, and not cheap.
So, we picked a poor one this time. It is hard to believe this restaurant rates as 4 star!
Wednesday night or any night. What an amazing BBQ and experience, we both really enjoyed it so thank you to the team. My wife is gluten and dairy intolerant and they went out of their way to make sure all the courses were adjusted (not compromised) to be authentic to the standard courses. We also took the drinks pairing package and they also made sure the wines were vegan friendly for my wife’s dairy intolerance. Highly recommended at Jimmy’s Pop Up and thank you again for a great evening.
What a relief to be out and meeting friends for a munch and drinks of an evening, locally in Herne Hill. We wanted to try something new and glad we did.
It's been open a few years now and we've passed it numerous times, plus it's recently had a facelift, so we figured we'd give it a whirl while bursting our lockdown bubble and finally getting out and about again. We - the 4 musketeers - aka pals of Herne Hill Free Film Festival were long overdue a group hug; cocktails and food were a masterplan.
So when we arrived I was surprised to see most tables were outside and inside was more of a lounge, but they had food and drink and a really accommodating duo of bar and serving staff.
The guy at the bar obligingly made my cocktail a little more 'diet-friendly and concocted a virgin cocktail for those in need, and we selected a few bites to eat too. I ate the chicken wings before taking pictures, and while it all seemed like only snacky bar food was on offer it was tasty and filling. I think the menu is due an overhaul in June too.
The space is meant to be reminiscent of a prohibition age and the funky decor and cool music all add to the atmosphere, so while it might take a little while for people to get back to feeling confident about stepping out, this space is definitely one to try out.
Me and my partner ordered take away and, 1st order never arrived by mistake of the deliveroo driver. We have ordered again and was worthed. Food was delicious with an amazing apresentation. We will definitely order again. Congrats guys!!!!

I was looking for a late dinner option and found this place listed as being inside the hotel. When I inquired where it was, I was told by staff that it does not exist. There is another dining option in the Park Plaza London Riverbank, but it closes at 10 p.m.
