We did not visit the restaurant, so we could not judge from previous experience. We chose it from a well known delivery company website. It was local and strangely rated quite high! It was only chosen because our regular restaurant did not appear to be offering takeaways at the time. We ordered 2 kebabs for starters and 2 curries. Starters were bitty, not particularly well spiced, and coarse in texture, not sufficiently minced. The salad provided was barely enough for one person, one slice of lemon between two! Tight or what? Chicken curry was extremely poor. Meat was dry and tough, as though it had been precooked. Certainly not fresh. The curry sauce was oily and not particularly appetising. A very poor meal overall, and not cheap. So, we picked a poor one this time. It is hard to believe this restaurant rates as 4 star!

El mejor curry para llevar que he tenido en mucho tiempo. No estoy seguro de qué más decir para cumplir con el requisito mínimo de caracteres. Dios santo que fue especial. Mis papilas gustativas hormiguearán durante el día, al igual que mi. . . ; -)

¡Seguro que no te dejes llevar por los asientos! Estuve allí el sábado por la noche y tuve una comida excelente con un servicio muy bueno y atento.

Esta noche, mi amigo y yo fuimos a buscar a este indio. Fue increíble, el servicio fue de 5 *, tanto la mujer más joven que hablaba mucho como la madre y la que nos recibió con gusto nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos y dispuestos a volver de nuevo. Hubo una confusión con la orden tan pronto como llamé acerca de la orden incorrecta, no pudieron disculparme lo suficiente. Un lugar realmente genial que merece un muy buen comercio.

Como era mi cumpleaños, un amigo y yo pensamos que sería un buen regalo conseguir algo para llevar después del trabajo. Hicimos nuestro pedido por teléfono y solicitamos que lo recojamos para poder recibir el 10% de descuento en la factura que vi anunciada en línea. También preguntamos por interés si ofrecían algo complementario, ya que era mi cumpleaños. La persona en el teléfono me preguntó qué me gustaba beber, a lo que respondí Prosecco, luego se echó a reír, lo que me hizo pensar que era demasiado pedir y que habría esperado que solo pidiera una cerveza o un vaso de cerveza. vino. ¡No fue hasta que estábamos a punto de salir del restaurante después de pagar y recoger nuestra orden que el hombre levanta una botella de champán y nos la da gratis! Esta fue una sorpresa maravillosa que superó nuestras expectativas y nos hizo salir con sonrisas en nuestras caras. La comida era muy sabrosa y abundante también y, en general, fue un gran final para mi cumpleaños. Definitivamente regresaremos!

First time eating at this restaurant and I was very impressed. Food was absolutely delicious , large portions and the best mint sauce ever. The owner and staff were very friendly. I will be returning with friends and family.

Monday night and asked for variety of vegetarian dishes but it seems you are only allowed to order from the set menu. Not sure how busy they are on a Monday night - but obviously too busy to cater for my request.

Been getting yummy takeaways from the Bombay Inn for years and never fails to satisfy. Always friendly and great service.

Super tasty. Large portion sizes. Attention to detail with delivery service (thanks Ash). We've just moved into the area and were recommended the bombay inn...couldnt be more impressed and we look forward to a long and spicy relationship ;)

Invited my friends as I had told them of excellent food and service and wasn't let down. Food was cooked to perfection and service was very good.

Impressive food, these guys are right on point with their quality. Ash delivered the food on time, really nice chap, ended up chatting with him about my surf trip to Bali. Super happy with the takeaway, will order again soon :)

Our first impressions were good. The Waiter brought us a complimentary poppadum and pickle tray, and the menu seemed competitively prices even for the rougher end of Brixton Hill. My partner ordered Mattar Paneer with Garlic Nan, both very good indeed, but my Prawn Vindaloo & Pilau rice was a well below par. The rice seemed to have been scraped from the bottom of the pan as the grains were broken, in lumps, and not fresh and fragrant as basmati should be. The Vindaloo was way too hot. I regularly order Vindaloo at other restaurants but here the chef must have just slung too much chilli powder into the sauce rather than measuring it carefully. It also had too much sauce in proportion to the prawns. I was billed for a large cobra beer rather than a small one (the waiter immediately apologised) and although the bill was small (£20 for two), I'd have happily paid a bit extra for more culinary expertise.

Fantastic food and service all round, very surprised at the negative review below as excellent meal all round. We ordered the korma and jalfrezi, korma was mild and rich in a creamy yellow colour, clearly not pink!! Jalfrezi nice and spicy. Service was great too, especially ash!! Highly recommend if your in the area. Free poppodums and chutney provided to.

The dishes from Bombay Inn are in fact so good, that I drop cooking in favour of their take away at least once a week! No lie, you wont get any better Indian food in South London.

We ordered a takeaway from the Bombay Inn for 3 people yesterday and it was the worst we have ever had. The good point was that it arrived on time. From there it went downhill. The chicken madras was hot but not tasty, the korma was pink and didn't taste at all good, the chicken dhansak had lots of onions, no lentils and a watery sauce. The plain rice was ok as was the pilau, It was more expensive than we usually purchase and we will never use this takeaway again.....give it a wide berth

I went here with few friends. And it all began with the waiter, just did not seem to be with it. Anyway the food was ok but I've had better. The decorating is dated and could do with some update.

Me and my family visited this Indian and was greeted very well. There after the service was non existent. The food was average to say the least and left disappointed. Won't try this place again

Went on Valentines Day for a romantic meal in a restaurant my partner and I had first gone to nearly 24 yeras ago. Not the same management, however, it felt a bit like going back in time ... in a good way. Really lovely helpful staff who offered advice and were so pleasant throughout our meal. Loved the okra, so fresh! Topped off with a rose for the lady and nostalgic after eight mints! Portions are too big for 2 so we have taken home another meal which is waiting in the freezer for another day.

Bueno, la comida honesta, siempre con una sonrisa por el Sr. Uddin y equipo. Gran madras platos y todos muy buena relación calidad-precio - nuestra favorita local sin duda!

The food was absolutely fantastic, problem is the Asian driver he didn't give my change back he said i don't have change, I'll come back with the change you have to give me 45 minutes it wasn't good for me because we was tired, and the kids was sleeping,

We use this take away at least once a month. It looks like the usual Indian you see on most streets but the quality is better than average. The fish karahi and aubergine side dishes are particularly tasty. Highly recommended!

This is our local curry house and we've only recently tried Bombay Inn. It is just a great place to eat. The food is really tasty. The service is attentive and friendly. There is a nice, relaxed atmosphere - I could easily see myself taking family, friends or date night again soon.Really recommended, I will definitely be going back.

Great curry, I love their chicken dansak, the staff here will go out of there way to make sure you enjoy your meal. We've been eating here for over 10 years so it must be good. Its not pricey just good Indian food and nice atmosphere.

It was really nice experience in your restaurant. I was in Brixton and was looking for somewhere to eat for a lunch time. You guys really surprise me with your service and food.

This is our local and we are lucky to be able to go here a lot. Specialities on the menu are always good and the chef will tweak the dish to suit level of spice that you like. Good, trustworthy place for any day of the week.

Food was surprisingly good. Girlfriend and I are vegetarians, which often equals mushy garbage. Jalfrezi and Dansak was fresh, spicy, full flavoured. Naan breads we're crisp and light. The service was also above and beyond. The waiter (Armin/Ahmen [don't know how to spell his name!) was so nice and endearing. The bill came to £37 (3 large beers, poppadoms, 1 starter, 2 mains and 2 naans). It's a new place but I expect it will have a certificate of excellence within a year. It was probably the best Indian i've eaten outside of east london (needoos, tayyabs, dishoom etc).

Ordered a take-away here the other night, and we were truly impressed. Tasty, succulent food that matched our high expectations; the coconut rice and tikka lamb chops being the best dishes.Whilst I was waiting to pick up the order I was also impressed by the cleanliness inside, and the decor.It was difficult to find at first though as their address has not been updated on the Just Eat website.Will definitely return here for a dine-in experience!

Moved further up the hill to a new location, more modern and stylish looking. Glad to see the quality of the food hasn't changed. Delicious as always. Recommend the lamb jalfrezi, tender and perfectly cooked. Staff really friendly and always happy to suggest dishes. Keep up the good work.

This little restuarant in brixton is a pleasant surprise. The dishes are very nice and spiced well and canc be tailored to taste and spicness. The gravy used in the curries seem individual not the geneic sauce you usually get.Its not the best looking place but the food is very good and the prices are fair.

Forget Brixton village! Visit the Bombay Inn. We've been going for 10 years or so and the food never fails to please. We've always received a warm welcome when eating in or a timely delivery at home.My wife, she loves the vegetable jalfrezi!

I've been either ordering a takeaway or eating in at this place for over 15 years. It's funny how one forgets to review the regular spots.The food is consistently good for the price and the staff are lovely.I have tried a few other local competitors but Bombay Inn is the best.

I have been ordering takeaway food from Bombay Inn for years, but decided that it was time to eat in. Well, takeaway or eat in, the service, food and ambience is good! My favourite dish, nan bread, aloo sag and Jalfrezi was cooked to perfection. However, my friends pilau rice was slightly wetter than usual, but this did not deter her. Staff attentive as usual. Overall, a good evening! Well done and keep it up!!

I really love the food here, the smell of spice and the way the food is served is good, quality food as well and always fresh, I've been quite a few times here and I must say that I've never been let down.
