Got a take away menu through the door from a restaurant called Spice Club, it used to be Cafe Balti before the previous owner retired. The menu had some really nice sounding dishes which I have never noticed on other menus. My friend ordered too many onion bhajis which I’m not too crazy about but these ones where so nice and so different to any I’ve had before. I like to try anything new that I have never had before and I am so glad I did because the rest of the dishes that I had were also very tasty. They do not use any artificial colouring or flavouring which is always an added bonus for me. So if you fancy trying some new curry dishes give Spice Club a visit, they still do the old favourites but the first time I go there for a meal I know I’ll be having something new because most other menus have the same old stuff.

If I could give a zero star rating for this restaurant I would. We have been going here for many years now, takeaway or eating in, lately we have been visiting the restaurant almost every week. The atmosphere is not very pleasant but the food is nice, the main reason why we kept coming back. The last time we visited was the end of our time at Cardamons. Let me tell you why. Going back, a couple of problems before the putoff, we mostly order dansak, which comes with pilau rice, but we always ask to change it to garlic rice. Most restaurants, including this one, charge an extra pound for swapping, but they recently started to charge more, like they would not charge for naan but they would charge for something else which didn't add up ( for a few slices of garlic in both myself and my husband's rice) anyway we thought something was not quite right but we couldn't be petty like them. The second thing was on one occasion, when we finished our dinner and we had some leftovers we asked them if they can pack it up for us to take it home but only when we went home we realised that my husband's rice, or curry was not packed. So the next time we went we asked them if they can give us the boxes so we can pack it for ourselves. They said they will and they asked us how many boxes we would like ? We said 5 please ( My husband's curry 1, his rice 2, my curry 3 as we don't pack it together as my Dansak is vindaloo heat, Vegetable curry 4, My rice 5 and a paper bag for the Naans) , The waiter went 5!? He looked gobsmacked! Anyway we said yes and he brought them to us unwillingly. The final putoff was last Weekend, we went to have dinner and as we always do with our leftovers, asked for tubs to pack them. The waiter said I will have to charge you for the tubs. He said he can give me one for free and put everything in it, we had the same as above left over, I said oh is it a big box then to fit all this in, he said no, a small one. I was lost for words, I said I can't chuck it so I have no choice but to pay. So I asked him how much? Now bear in mind these tubs cost £30 for 300 of them (I checked afterwards). He said £1 per tub!! We were furious, I said this is terrible, he apologised but he had no choice. Clearly the Managers decision. Considering how much we have spent in there I was so appauled by the way this went, they have lost very good customers and now we will never be returning there again. If you do decide to go there be aware, BRING YOUR OWN TUBS!

I’ve being in this Burger King for my lunch. I order a meal and a Pepsi for drink which it was warm. I gently asked to add some ice on it. They sad their machine was not working properly so no ice was available. i can understand this can happen so, I ask then to have a bottle of Cola instead which they have in the fridge behind the cashier but the manager refused to give it. So I had to have my lunch with a warm Pepsi, was very disappointing !! Clearly the managers in this restaurant they don’t care about customers and I think the company should do something about it as this is unacceptable for a big company like Burger King. Personally I will not come back and will not recommend this restaurant.
