Great services, great atmosphere and live music, what's not to love. Would be a pleasure to return in future.

Great night watching terrific young band Red Velvet, friendly staff and great atmosphere.

We booked the pub for a private function, the food was great, staff were attentive to our needs and ensured it was kept clean throughout. I would recommend it to others.

Great music , staff and toilets

This is a very friendly and welcoming family pub. Children welcome as ling ad parents keep them with them. They have live rock music every Fri Sat and Sunday evenings, and Jam night is on Wednesday. It has a great atmosphere so give it a try. I love The Crown and always have a great night.

Great place for live music, good crowd get served quick

Went here for a friend's birthday, great band, good atmosphere and a lovely old pub. Drinks prices were astronomical though.

The crown pub is brilliant for band night's on Friday and Saturday night's but have to give it 2 stars drinks are expensive London prices £4.50 a pint, the landlord says it's that price on a Friday & Saturday nights because it's band nights yer right it's £4.50 every day and night it's not London it's Romford pubs in Romford you pay for a pint of larger between £3.40 to £3.80 depending on the pub you drink in and some shots or cheap aswell between £1 to £2.50 a shot

The best Sunday afternoon music events in the area

I visited the Crown as they were hosting the wake after my brother's funeral, the landlady and staff could not have done more for us. My brother had been quite a large part of the music scene at the pub, some of the bands from the scene that he had worked with even performed at the wake, it seems a great place to go.

Went to see a live band (The Devils Punchbowl) who were brilliant. Great covers of some fabulous rock songs. Bar staff were very friendly, quick service and clearing of empty glasses. Loved the Halloween decorations too.

Turned up on my 1st fancy dress night at The Crown with a friend. The band was great and the buffet was lovely and spoilt for choices. It was rammed and into the night, it was fun night and loads wore fancy dress costumes. Free sweets went down a treat. Cannot thanks the staff enough. Back next year 🎃😜🎃👍🏻

The band was very good, mens toilet smells very bad and if you make a mistake with ordering a drink there will charge you for it

Great live music venue, decent pint and great atmosphere.

We didn't have any food just drinks hence no stars for that. 4 of us came in here for what we thought would be a couple of drinks and then we go home after a monthly Hubb Club meeting nearby. 2 great bands appeared and we stayed till around 11.30pm instead. Nice. Th.7.9.23 19.00 to 23.30 approx..

The drinks are a tad overpriced good atmosphere.

Once again,i've been to this excellent pub to see the wonderful Lord Toffingham, check them out if you like glam rock stuff from the 70's.the pub has live music every week which is rare but its a great pub anyway...enjoy.

Brilliant pub with loads of entertainment. Yesterday they had Ska n Mash playing and they were really good. Thoroughly enjoyed myself and even though the pub was rammed I still got served in under 5mins. Keep up the good work to the staff at The Crown and thank you for making my day enjoyable.

Great venue for live bands and quiz nights, fairly reasonable prices that increase a bit when bands are playing

Used to love this place but it has changed over the years and nowhere near as good as it was in the 1970's. I don't think I will ever visit again.

Friendly pub with live performances. Staff are friendly and drinks reasonably priced. Parking can be a pain, but plenty of side streets newrby (as long as you pay attention to parking restrictions)

Neutral Post. Was not open 22/12/21 when attempted visit about 8PM. Who Knows?

The pub looks small and when you walk in its quite dark and mildly dingy but the atmosphere is great and the staff cheerful, polite and helpful. They have regular entertainment which is always a hit and enjoyable.

1st time in there, live music was good, pub wasn't that busy inside because the music was outside, no need to queue up to get in, good social distancing measures... Will defo go again.
