The best restaurants in Victoria Hackney London

This eatery occupied a building that was a cafe during the day, but with the space taken over by this restaurant by night - although they were about to be relocated (new venue tbc). A nice setting to eat at the back of the cafe although a slightly odd set up as the toilets were in a ?community hall? next door. Food was delicious & totally gluten free. Didn’t quite believe it as the bread / pizza base was so nice!

As the names suggests.. This cafe is great. Great food, good prices, but most worth mentioning is the friendly staff. Always a really good atmosphere. Love coming here regularly!

We’ve ordered from this place a couple of times now and it’s just SO good! Probably the best kimchi pancakes we’ve had in London 👌🏻 🫶 the order has always arrived on time and we love the attention to detail with the sustainable packaging and handwritten notes on each dish. So happy we’ve found our new fave Korean food place 😊

The pizza we had here was literally the best we’ve ever had - strongly recommend the chicken and pesto one! Fantastic, though be warned it takes a while to arrive. Tastes very fresh!

Very tasty chip shop chips, fried chicken, battered cod amongst other traditional chip shop treats. Never been disappointed.

Beware - oat latte cost me £4.25!!! I got a takeaway coffee here which I waited 10 mins for. Totally shocked by the extortionate price of a small and mediocre coffee. Disappointing as had high expectations for this place.

For such a prominent establishment. Very disappointed with the service and still haven't received my refund. Made no effort and not very helpful.

My bf made a reservation to watch the Rugby tonight, Dad travelled 3 hours from Southampton, just called ahead to say we're on the way and double check, were told they didn't have a table and we 'weren't on the list'. No option to resolve or reserve one now. Really unhelpful. Lots of better pubs around this area, The victoria, the Crown, I'd advise to go there instead!!!

Este es un lugar promedio en un vecindario de mercado bajo que estaba desierto a las 10 PM. El restaurante estaba desierto también un jueves por la noche. El hombre hosco detrás del escritorio nos advirtió que cerrarían a las 11 PM cuando entramos a las 10 . 20 PM casi como si quisiera rechazarnos. La comida vegetariana era muy buena, pero solo sirven un vino tinto barato y realmente malo por copa. No veo por qué la gente lo califica tan alto. Es un lugar muy desagradable.

They advertise a ‘Buffet Night’ in a poster on the door. Didn’t even get through the door when a very rude man (the owner?) told me “it’s finished…a long time ago”. I suggested they should take the poster down then, which he started to do. Went round the corner and had a nice curry at the Lavan’s Spice. As I walked back passed on my way home the poster was back in the window! They are openly LYING to customers advertising a buffet night they don’t actually do! AVOID!!!

We had dinner last night and ordered a couple of vegetarian starters and a main to share, requesting everything together. While the restaurant was quiet, the wait for our order was reasonable. However, the sweet corn cakes were disappointingly stone cold in the middle. The waitress handled the situation well, promptly taking it back to the kitchen and deducting it from the bill as I requested. They apologised again when settling the bill. Overall, the food was decent, but nothing extraordinary.

Excelente, muy bien cocinado. Camarero agradable y servicial. Experiencia de llegada extraña a la puerta principal, donde una camarera se paró con los brazos cruzados, bloqueando en parte la entrada, charlando con colegas o invitados en una mesa cercana en interiores y no respondiendo inicialmente a dos solicitudes para entrar. Siguieron instrucciones brutales sobre dónde se nos permitía sentarnos. Quizá tengas un mal día.

I took my parents here for dinner on a Friday night and it was amazing. The atmosphere was great, the food was excellent and we were made to feel very welcome. It's also the perfect place to take a dog, which is a bonus for us. I highly recommend this place. 10/10
