The best restaurants in Little Clacton and Weeley Tendring East of England

Being a key member of the local pride movement it was encouraging to see the landlord fully immersing himself in our culture, and wearing the full widow tranky garb. The selection of bar foods was immense with the highlights being the Pineapple Betty, Green Goddess dressing, and all puffs, tarts, crumpets. We will be returning soon. Highly recommended.

First time of visiting The Black Bouy and definitely won’t be the last… staff excellent, spent time chatting with us, advised on menu, took our order, food arrived and was delicious 😋highly recommended this pub …….

White Hart Pub, Weeley Heath, Clacton. We stopped at this pub on our way home last Sunday. While waiting for our drinks horrible noisy music started up; Thump, thump, thump . Couldn’t hear ourselves speak. Apparently this was quite normal; so someone told me. Seems the landlord has no consideration at all for those living around him and trying to enjoy a nice quiet afternoon at home How selfish and totally antisocial. We left in a hurry and called in at the Black Boy in Weely Village. A much nicer and welcoming pub. One to avoid we agreed.

Although a 20 minute walk this is my local. It's worth the walk. A nice atmosphere and location. Food is served during the day. A garden to sit in during the summer. With football on the screen makes a perfect location. Entertainment is provided at certain times.

Was the worse I have ever had , I asked for pineapple and cashew fried rice , was boiled rice! Sweet and sour sauce was so sweet was awful . Crispy chilli beef , no chilli at all was sweet . Worse Chinese I have ever eaten !

Excellent staff, I was given a clean and tidy room that that was stocked with good basics, good value for money.

I was with my daughter , mum and sister on Saturday 19th Oct 6.30pm .The food was fantastic My mum had homemade soup to start with crusty baguette she said it was so fresh and my daughter had calamari that was really tasty The main meals were all home made We had 2 x steak and ale pie , mash and veg , chilli con carne and rice and braised steak , mash and veg . The portions are large we didn't have room for dessert .The service was outstanding Thanks Abbie you were great 👍

An amazing place to get a Chinese meal from. The staff are wonderful and the food is delicious and quick to collect. They've now become our new go-to Chinese takeaway! Thank you and see you all soon.

Great McDonald’s ideally situated on the outskirts of clacton

Table table at Bowling Green is simply convenient. Sadly it lacks appeal in many respects. Their prices are reasonable but most definitely match the bland presentation and poor service. We chose to pop in as it was getting late following a hospital appointment. The service was painfully slow and may have been caused by understaffing. The meal, as mentioned was adequate, but totally lacked any presentation skill. Finally the decor and general ambience of the place remains tired and lacking in general upkeep. The decor is badly in need of TLC and the carpets are threadbare and sticky underfoot.
