We’ve used Table Table on numerous occasions simply because it’s conveniently situated on our route home and subsequently have come to accept the cuisine as nothing but adequate for the price. This latest visit was no exception, It’s the sheer deteriorating condition of the facilities that are of principle note: the toilets are dirty, the carpets filthy, the decor is badly in need of attention and the outside area is festooned with cigarette butts and debris. All in all, not a very pleasant experience. It desperately needs some aye attention.

Had a lovely meal here with my wife. All the food was marvellous. The service was exceptional, being served by Eve! Must come back soon!

Fantastic roast dinner best in clacton. Great staff and on hand to help. Would highly recommend going here. Me and my family are frequent visitors here and atmosphere and food are always great

Popped in for breakfast again early Sunday morning and was overly impressed again, team were very busy but always attentive and helpful keeping the busy buffet topped up, great staff and great value

Went to the bowling green for lunch, large table of 12, we hadn’t booked as we had been to a funeral. The staff were really accommodating and made us feel really welcome. The food came out promptly and was nice and hot. We wanted to pay separately and the lovely waitress did that for us with no issues. Would definitely recommend.

Such a lovely pub! The bar tender was so lovely and made the most amazing drinks. Everyone was so welcoming and made it a great experience for all of my friends. Highly recommend !!!

We found this venue while travelling to Frinton on sea . Easy to park and a large site. We ordered a lunch time deal two meals for £11.49 which sounded good as not wanting too much to eat as eating at 7 pm . Staff good but unfortunately the meal we ordered was very poor I had the fish as chips but upon entering the so called batter I found no fish just a swamp of fatty horrible greasy coating . The chips were poor standard and after doing the best I could to eat it I had to visit the toilet as the grease upset my gut . Very bad lunch and I won’t be doing a revisit righ as a bears arse

Came here as a treat for the family- absolutely delightful establishment, some of the most charming service I’ve ever seen, especially from the bar, and the food was even better! Highly recommend those looking for good times with cheesy chips and a pint or two (or twelve) on the side.

Nice food and nice staff, overall lovely time. Enjoyed the vegan burger and had a lovely time chatting to some of the people working there.

Visted the Bowling Green with my partner & baby for dinner. Was made to feel comfortable and safe during the covid pandemic by our waitress Lisa who carried out a polite and professional friendly service through out our meal :) food was enjoyable for all 3 courses with not much waiting time. Came here for a spot of lunch with a friend to catch up. It was a lovely chilled afternoon made even better by our lovely waitress Monica. Very chatty and friendly. Will come back again.

We ate the breakfast here on few occasions. Friendly atmosphere had a lough with Monika. She was super friendly and remembered us from previous visit. Would highly recommend the place, staff are excellent!! Will definitely be back.

Stopped of for lunch on way back home had fantastic food and service the waitress Monika was a fantastic host very chatty and polite will return next time down there 5 star service all round r castle

while in the area, we popped in for dinner. How very disappointing, upon arrival the member of staff on the door was rude and very short with us (this place was not busy at all), we were seated with a mumbling and menus thrown on the table. When our starters arrived, we mentioned that the food looks nothing like the picture and very underwhelming, the member of staff said "would you like me to put in a little tin for you" in a very sarcastic manner, which was very uncalled for. The food was of poor quality, the service was very very slow , we will never return to the purgatory hell that is this venue.

I went here with the girls for my birthday lunch there were 6 of us. As usual the food was great the staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. We didn’t have to wait long to be served or for our food to arrive. The restaurant is COVID friendly and all tables are spaced out. I do come here a lot but it because I can’t fault this place. I have never had a bad meal or bad service. Thank you once again Bowling Green for making my birthday meal so great.

Came in for breakfast last Saturday, alot of guidelines in place and the buffet they used to have available is no longer out for obvious reasons. A different experience but still a good one. Didnt have to wait too long for anything and had the waiteress was very helpful

We have been in a couple of times since the reopening and have left happy each time. They reopened with a small menu but now there are plenty of options. Feel very safe with the way they do things. Great service will be returning

I stayed for 2 nights at the Premier Inn next door. On both days I had the breakfast which was cooked to order and was served swiftly and pleasantly. The food was plentiful.I dined for 2 evening meals I will just say that and there is room for improvement. On the first occasion the service was dead slow and the food was only OK. On the 2nd night service was swifter and the food quality better.

We tried here a few months back and the food was ok but not great. We was in the area again and thought would give another chance. It’s a small menu due to covid but the service was spot on all food was hot and presented really well my children’s fav was the triple choc brownie . Lovely breakfast. Everything was fresh and hot. The staff was great to and very nice coffee. They had all the COVID rules in place and felt very safe there and will be coming back soon!!

Lovely meal went with two others from my household, easy to work your way around the restaurant with the covid signing, friendly staff all round, everyone was polite and kept social distance, I had a mixed grill upgrade steak was unbelievable! Fully recommended.

Waited for 15 minutes to be seated, ignored by every staff member we encountered. A moody waitress finally graced us with her presence, was told rather rudely they are full booked.Why not have a sign up?I remember now why I give Table Tables’s and over low quality pub chains a miss!

Visited with my family this morning, booked online using an easy system, Food was fantastic and hot, waiter Jamie could not do anything more to help us and see if there was anything else we needed, observed him going around our area and took his time with each table and gave everyone the same warm welcome, even more impressed he didn’t have to write anything down, would highly recommend and will definitely be trying a dinner there next time. Fantastic service and staff !

i visited the bowling Green this afternoon with my elderly mother and my teenage son . we don’t visit this restaurant very often however was pleasantly surprised how much we all enjoyed the experience.the waitress suzanne was very lovely , she was so helpful and kept asking if my mother was okay. we couldn’t fault any of our meals or desserts, drinks arrived at the table shortly after ordering them.The atmosphere was lovely considering the staff we’re extremely busy , would recommend this place and will definitely be returning more often, thank you Suzanne for being such a lovely waitress, your a kind and welcoming person , we appreciated you serving us this afternoon .

We were greeted and shown to a table and informed about hand sanitising stations and the one way system. Our waitress was really friendly and attentive even though it was very busy. We ordered drinks, the chicken & rib combo and the double stack steak burger. Everything arrived quickly and was really nice and tasty, unfortunately the only dessert available was the Cadbury Nibble sundae, which, although not what we planned to have, was delicious. Not only was our meal half price on the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, there is also a reward card which entitles anyone who swipes it in August to 50% off their meals in September. Looking forward to going back.

Came here for breakfast and very quickly realised it was not to be a good visit.Greeted nicely at the door and shown our seats but from there it all went downhill. Cutlery was filthy not just a little bit either- but caked on food. All around us people were cleaning their cutlery with napkins and mentioning it to each other so it must be quite a big problem here. The manager was very nice, but there are only so many times you can complain and be given a change of cutlery that is still dirty (three times) I'm not sure why he wasn't checking them first.We were also given dirty plates for the toast.When the food came, and it was mentioned the initial reaction by the waitress wearing glasses was to shrug and say she would get the manager in a very dismissive way. There wasn't much of an apology which just made everyone upset and came across as very rude, even if it was not meant to, and made us feel we wrong to complain.During this time another table was complaining about something so it seems possibly the staff were losing their cool a bit but even so it wasn't pleasant.On the way back through Premier inn reception, we heard another family complaining about the restaurant for various reasons.I must admit at this point I thought 'wow' it's just common practice for this place.All this really upset our visit which was meant to be a happy family meal. I've given this place a two instead of a one only as the food (although not hot!) was tasty.

Don't know why we still bother/risk eating at Table Table establishments after every previous experience involving extremely slow service no matter where in the country we are. We waited ages for food to arrive. Not exactly generous portions when the mains arrived. Then after 30 mins or so after ordering our desserts, the waitress returned to say the kitchen never received our order. And as if by magic, the two tables sat either side of us never had their mains orders put through and 40 mins later the waitress returned to retake the orders. Portion sizes not great. Kids ordered pancakes (plural) for dessert - the plural bit being 1 tiny little pancake cut into four tiny pieces, some slices of banana and a small chocolate dipping pot. No wonder the kids were still complaining of feeling hungry when we left!Half the adults puddings were sold out so I guess the kids should have been grateful to have had a dessert land on the table!Admittedly the restaurant has not long reopened after lockdown - but Covid-19 safety measures have been put in place which includes a massive reduction in tables available to sit at - meaning a bug reduction in the number of customers. The place was a shambles - staff stressing, orders being messed up - but only half the capacity of customers to cater for (or try to cope with). It doesn't add up.And finally, to top things off - the bill......As we ate on a Monday, we took advantage of the 'Eat out to Help out' scheme. Back in July we were emailed a £5 off voucher to use in any Table Table restaurant which expired 31st August - regardless of the 'Eat out to Help out' scheme. When the bill arrived we told the waitress we had the voucher to which she replied that the voucher cannot be used with the Eat out to Help out scheme. We disputed this and told her that many other restaurant chains have accepted vouchers alongside the scheme as they claim it all back from Boris anyway so it's no skin off their nose, but she was absolutely adamant they won't take the voucher. Unbelievable! So after 2 hrs to get 2 courses to us (at a half empty restaurant) we were more than ready to leave!Safe to say we will not be booking a table at any Table Table restaurant again. A shame, because if the chain could get their slow service sorted then it could be a decent place to go and enjoy a meal.

We came here for a meal with our friends and was nice to catch up for the first time since the Pandemic started. When we were sat down we greeted kindly by a giant of a man named Dave who was very polite and funny to be around. He recommended us a few dishes which we took on board. Never less the food was acceptionally tasty and the warm, kind and friendly atmosphere made it all worth while.Thank you again for the team at the restaurant for making it a great experience for myself my wife and our 2 friends. We will return very soon

Have just arrived home after having Sunday Lunch at the Bowling Green, Weeley, Essex. We were told if we wanted the Roast it would be served in the Kitchen and brought out to us. After a half hour wait, we received our meals. Hardly any meat, as the waitress said they didn't get their full meat supply. Cauliflower cheese, about a dessert spoonful. Warmed up Roast potatoes which were soggy, red cabbage (no choice of anything else if you don't like that) peas, and to cap it all, the dinners were all cold!! My family and I have been dining at the Bowling Green for years, but this has really put us off. This was our first visit since the Bowling Green has open after lock-down, but will be our last, It would have been a more substantial meal if I'd bought a frozen Roast Dinner from Tesco for a couple of pounds!!! Very very disappointing!!!

Popped in today for a lunch with 2 friends, arrived at 11.10 was abruptly told we couldn’t order anything till 11.30,we asked if we could sit in the bar and wait as the waitress seemed very put out by us even being in there.We ordered our drinks first before we decided what to eat,one of my friends ordered a soft drink and was told she wouldn’t get the 50% off as not ordered with food, well this isn’t stipulated on the government scheme, says food and soft drinks as much as you like ( upto £10) but the last wasn’t having it. Food arrived I must say I would have been seriously disappointed if I’d paid £9.99 for mine.Have been in this table table many times the waitress clearly is t keen on us as I think we’d get a warmer reception from a corpse, thanks Monika for being so happy.

First impressions were good. The lady seated us quickly and was friendly,But went down hill pretty quick.The so called waitress was not friendly at all, after taking our order we waited 45 minutes for our drinks. And then waited ages again for the food, which was only average.We asked for sauces which they forgot, and buy the time managed to catch her again we had nearly finished.Other people waiting just as long, even one couple just got up and left after their drinks.A good job it was half price because of the ear out scheme, because it was not worth the full price.Would definitely not recommend eating here.

On the way in we were greatedd by an overbearing woman who isisted on shouting the covid secure guidlines at us whilst getting extremely close to my party and that of an older couple behind telling them to get behind the line 3 times. It was like being lined up for school dinners and really ruined the evening, especially as we were then sat at a table barely high enough for children.We are adults and are capable of reading information and following basic instruction, there really was no need for the arm waving and barking orders before we had even got through the door.

We were looking for somewhere to have a bite to eat and a drink . Walked straight into the reception area and was greeted by very friendly lady. Shown to a table straight away and then another friendly staff member took our order. Food came fairly quickly and was hot and tasty. All social distancing measures in place. Will definitely look to go here again.

Well, I am so glad to see the place open again after the UK Lockdown. Hard to get used to 'follow me', 'Keep Right' 'No you can't go to the bar, we will collect it for you' etc., but I have to say there is something nice about the service. This visit, our first since the lockdown and it was good. Our waitress, Dom, was just more than good, I would say excellent. So glad its all back.

I was welcomed back by the staff who explained the safety measures which were simple but effective. Jo our waitress looked after us splendidly. The menu bit limited but covered all the basics. We both had a nice well cooked meal and will be back. Please look at a nicer merlot.Well done

Visited 30th July our first meal out since lockdown. Covid rules in place with tables spaced out with some not in use. New smaller choice of food on the menu but still plenty to choose from. Katie our server was friendly and kept us informed with the new rules. Meal was good,hot and quickly served.

Measures in place all fine. One way system explained. Staff were friendly. It was clean. Unfortunately Burgers were dry and tasteless. Chips were nice. Kids enjoyed their meals. Way overpriced on the adult menu for the quality of the food. I'd rather go to many other places that charge the same price for burgers but are a lot nicer. If it was still 2 mains for £8.99 or whatever deal they had then it would have been ok, but wouldn't bother going back unfortunately.

I received some 40% off vouchers for tablet able, so took my wife out to the branch at weeley...the place was empty so on arrival ,I asked to be seated in the conservatory area..drinks were ordered and it was confirmed that my vouchers were only for the main meals, not the 2 meals for £8.99...fair enough, so we both ordered the chicken pie...2 for £8.99....the picture of the food looked nice on the menu but when it came, I was disappointed...didn't get the pie in the piccie....I guess that was the one you got if you paid full price.???...was hoping it was going to be ok but should have realised if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is?!?...what we got was a very small poration of what tasted ok but really wasn't worth dirty ing the plate for...ok, it was 2 very small meals for £8.99....you can't get much for 10 quid nowadays?...I guess they make their money from the exorbitant prices they charge for drinks..?... £4.45 for a pint of barely cold guineas with a head on it which must have been over an inch tall?!?...will stick to wetherspoons in future....always brilliant food and great value...table table....would give negative marks, if I could?!?..

We visit this restaurant quite regularly as it’s close for family get togethers but this time was just the 2 of us. Decided to try something different from the menu and weren’t disappointed. I had the Cod,Prawn & Chorizo en papilote which was very tasty and my husband had the Beef & Merlot pie which he enjoyed. The staff are always pleasant and friendly and service was good. One gripe would be the plates could be hot but just a minor detail. Overall very enjoyable.

So, after our first successful visit to Table Table at the end of last year and having said that we would make the effort to come here for future Date ‘Days’ (due to my health condition we just can’t do ‘nights’ anymore ) once per month, we finally managed a return trip on Valentine’s Day. We didn’t get off to the best start this time - because I am registered disabled and use a walking aid for my limited mobility, we require a disabled car parking space, but unfortunately there were none available. There aren’t that many Disabled bays anyway, but to see 2 cars without disabled badges taking up the limited spaces was such a disappointment. We then drove around the side - unsure if TT shared that space with the hotel patrons, but those disabled bays were also taken - again some with no badges and one was taken up with young people eating their McDonalds (also no badge) - there were plenty of other spaces for these people to use!!!We parked up in one of the normal bays and went inside where a young man explained that they were full at the moment, but to take a seat in the bar area and he will call us when a table becomes available. We settled down and got a drink and didn’t actually have to wait too long. There were no signs anywhere that it was Valentine’s Day, which was a shame - it would have been nice if they had made a small effort.We were seated by a window and looked at the menu which hadn’t changed since we came before, so we knew what we wanted. The only difference was that my menu had the items priced a lot cheaper than Hubby’s menu, some items had been increased by as much as 30p, and of course when we got the bill, the total had been taken using the more expensive menu!As we waited for our Server we had a look around to see if there had been any improvements to the building from our last visit, but there hadn’t - the walls were still filthy, the windows too - with an adult and child’s greasy hand prints all over it near our table, and the paint flaking in areas.For starters I had the Prawn cocktail which was well presented with some salad and seafood sauce, it also came with a slice of bread and a small square of butter which unfortunately was too hard to spread on the bread. If I am honest, the prawns didn’t really taste of anything - I couldn’t tell if a i was eating salad or prawns - that’s how tasteless they were! Hubby had the chicken goujons - 4 goujons with a small pot of BBQ sauce, which he enjoyed.For mains I had the chicken escalope which is a crispy breaded chicken breast topped with cheese, bacon and a fried egg; it comes with skinny cut fries and a salad garnish. I don’t eat bacon, so requested it without. The fried egg arrived with a hard yolk, which was a shame - if I’m going to indulge in the calories of a fried egg, I do like a nice runny yolk! The fries were very nice as was the little bit of side salad - I LOVE salad, so a little bit more salad would have been very welcome. Hubby had the mixed grill - 4oz rump steak, pork sausage, half a chicken breast and half a gammon steak, served with beer battered onion rings, chips, mushrooms, half a grilled tomato, fried egg, garden peas and peppercorn sauce; He paid extra for the larger 8oz piece of steak. It was all very nice. Unfortunately the dessert let it down slightly - we both had the churro sundaes, but the 2 small Lengths of churros were really hard and chewy!!Overall a nice enough visit, although we will be skipping desserts in any future visits - they are very expensive for what they actually are. If the restaurant took the time to sort the little details it would make all the difference - the dirty walls and windows (greasy hand prints can be removed easily enough when the tables are being cleared!), the flaking paint, grubby chairs etc, and seeing as it was Valentine’s Day it would have been nice for them to make an effort for those choosing to spend their money in there!

This is like a Toby carvery. Super cheap the food isn’t great but for £10.99 what can you expect. We had Camembert to start, carvery that was great for meat eaters the vegetarian pie wasn’t great. Deserts were good. Service was friendly but slow. If you want a cheap quick bite to eat then would recommend if you want a culinary dining experience then this isn’t.

Called in fir a meal on way to theatre. Staff were friendly, but was disappointed as meals were served on cold plates,which of course made the food chill quicker. I ordered lasagne with garlic flatbread, but it arrived with garlic French bread,which I cannot eat. It was changed after waitress checked the menu,but was told they always serve lasagne with French bread. My question is,why offer something on the menu then doht deliver without being asked!

Recently held a funeral wake at the Bowling Green - just wanted to say that the service was excellent. A private area is provided with an ample buffet and beverages for guests.Plenty of seating available Highly recommend it as a venue for such an event.

We just had the most awful service. 25 of us for my mum's Birthday.. We were sent to the back of the venue.. The tables hadn't been set up for enough of us and the floor was full of food. We had a drinks order taken 15 minutes in. Then eventually our food order. The only Vege option on the roast menu wasn't available.. They made us something else. We then waited 30 minutes and I went and asked.. Was told that we should have been getting carvery already. Long and short of it we were forgotten out back. 25 of us. We left without being asked if we wanted more drinks or puddings.. So they lost around £100. We had one waiter serving us and that wasn't acceptable. Never will any of us return.

We have Sunday lunch here 3 times a month and the food is always excellent the baked potatoes are to die for. the price is very affordable and the staff are always there to help and always have a happy face. Sunday lunch is not to be missed.

Hit and miss .had lasagna ,dried up and awful .chips no better ..so many better places in clacton to eat .wont be going back .

I had a Surf n Turf burger. Should be renamed Soggy and tough !! The burger pattiess were just as dry as a bone and the prawns deep fried and dripping in grease . AWFUL. Waste of money.

Had the pleasure of going to the bowling green and having some lunch and a few drinks with some friends . I found it to be very pleasant and the Steak I had and the carvary my friends was lovely. Service was quick friendly and very professional. Recommend a stop here if you’re passing by.

We visited as a family on Christmas day and whilst the food was ok and comparable price wise with other pubs xmas day,we did have a issue with the drinks on offer .my wife ,who rarely drinks but wanted to as it was Christmas day,ordered a cocktail that was advertised on the table as one to have. The order was taken but about 10 minutes later a waitress came over to say they did not have the ingredients for that cocktail. She then ordered a flavoured gin. About 15 minutes later, the waitress reappeared to advise they did not have that gin in either!she then gave up and had a coke .both of these drinks were heavily advertised around the pub to have with your meal .the staff obviously did not know these were not available as they took the orders only to find out when collecting order that they did not have any .poor management and communication with staff .

Came in for dinner as was staying in the hotel opposite. Had a lovely meal and fantastic service, couldn't fault a thing and will be returning as I have many times in the past

My family and I often go to Table Table for a quick family get together meal - the food is decent (can be hit and miss and quite often sold out) but fairly priced. We decided to attend for the Boxing Day festive meal this year - what a mistake that was.

We visited the Bowling Green, Weeley arriving at 17:10 on a Sunday afternoon. A large sign at the door clearly stated that the Sunday Carvery was available until 6 pm. Whilst waiting to be seated two customers went through the carvery, the server then started packing away the three joints all of which had plenty left on them. Several staff also came along and helped themselves to the carvery. When we enquired about the carvery we were told it had closed early due to the number of customers - which seemed strange as the party ahead of us consisted of six! We were also told it was in the small print on the poster which when we checked it wasn't!

Yet again this place has more than met my expectations. I love coming here. Food amazing and staff best around. Be back over the weekend. Thank you

Over a 40 min wait for a table tonight this is far to slow we went to the Moon & Starfish instead down the seafront and its always instant service there.

Went out for my friends birthday with a large group of friends. Was served by a lovely waitress who was very polite and patient with such a large group. All courses were out in good time and the food was excellent. Good portion sizes and great value for money. Would definitely recommend

Visited this establishment for a week whilst on business in the area as I had been put up in the nearby Premier Inn. Rather small but decent selection of food from the menu, food was mediocre and disappointing. Black bits in the chips indicating dirty fryers which was pointed out to the staff, to which I was told "I'll pass your comments on to the chef." Food was bland and the chicken was drier than the Sahara Desert. Only saving grace was the haddock and chips which was rather tasty. Place was like a ghost town and decor was dated. Service was quick and efficient, staff generally polite and welcoming. Would not recommend, there are better alternatives in the Clacton area.

Had visited this Resturant some eight years ago when I enjoyed the food. Today revealed a definite downturn in the food but overall the decor and staff were top class. I have a chicken Forestier but could not taste anything resembling chicken in the lump of meat that was bathed in very tasty sauce. (Perhaps we should get used to such tastelessness with the imminent approach of American chlorinated chicken) The Doom Bar pie ordered by my friend was extremely tasty and thoroughly enjoyed. The extensive menu warrants another visit soon.

We had arrived at our room and decided to nip out for food we came across the table table and I'm so glad we did the food was cooked and served to perfection the staff were friendly and attentive it was so good that we returned the next night and although they were very busy they squeezed us in and again everything was delicious, we had steak , burgers , vegetarian lasagna, soup pate all amazing good food cant wait to return 5/5 ***** thank you

I visited your restaurant last night with a few of my friends. None of us have ever eaten here before but we all really enjoyed our meals. Each of us had steak and it was cooked to perfection the chef must know what they are doing. The chips were a lovely accompaniment to my steak and tomato was very fresh. Whoever prepared my food is a credit to your company and the presentation of my food was amazing. Great night with great food. Thank you from Bert

Best place for a nice lunch, staff very friendly.  Everybody enjoyed their meal, I had the fish and chips probably the best piece of fish. Will come back again.

I was on my way to a meeting in clacton and came across this pub/restaurant so I thought I’d give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food and how quick the service was! They’re also giving out vouchers and discounts which was a bonus! Will definitely give it another visit!

Come with my family for dinner and fee drinks. Food very nice, staff great. You getting this what you paying for. Everyone very happy. Will come back here again.

The scene was set by the depressing arrival in an entrance that is dark and poorly maintained. Carpet is pretty awful and if it were not for the fact that the staff were friendly and chatty, we would have turned around at that point. Should have done so.

Had dinner here on the 19th, we ordered 2 steaks rare, one came rare the other nearer well done. Didn’t say anything as it tasted ok, child’s pasta was pretty basic and not great but staff were lovely. For the price you get what you pay for.

Just visited the Bowling Green for breakfast with my husband and children. Lovely warm welcome, breakfast was cooked to order which meant we could pick and choose what we wanted. Good range of food to choose from and the children eat for free. Service was great and I was even asked if everything was ok by the Chef which was lovely. Would definitely recommend.

Went here for dinner with the family and the food was delicious, the service was even better! The waitress I had was so lovely and polite, attended to our every need.

Went to lunch with some girls from work, variance of food to suit all of us, friendly, helpful staff, good service, not bad prices either

Food looked good and was well presented but it was only warm, as if it had been sat on the side for a while. If we had had hot food score would have been much better, as the food was tasty just not hot enough. Service seemed bit disorganised at times, they weren't that busy so no excuses. We had to ask where our drinks were as our food arrived before them. Staff were friendly and polite.

The waiter didn’t really know what he was doing after brining a “Fake and Ale Pie” after I ordered fish pie he told me that was the fish pie!! After he decided to correct the mistake I waited 25 min while my family were nearly finished with their meals, over cooked fish (what little fish was in it) and brown salad leaves

Came for breakfast midweek and was more than impressed with the service and quality, my son was given a colouring pack as we sat which kept him entertained for the duration. Loved the granola sundae and cooked breakfast was spot on and all you can eat. Cant complain !

Came in last night and the place was so busy, didn’t know if we would get a table but was sat down straight away. Very busy but food and service was spot on as always. Best place around here by far!!!

Great bar staff, obviously under manned.. just one big cluster behind the scenes... stayed at the premier opposite for 3 days... every day there was issues with either manning or food availability. Final straw... having to wait an hour for my dinner ... on a Thursday. .. The starter came twice though :/.... shocking !!!!

This restaurant has always been great for breakfast. Well stocked on fresh food , staff friendly and helpful unlimited everything great Costa coffee would always go here for a great relaxing breakfast

This is one of our favourite restaurants although eating here is never the same twice in a row. On this occasion I went with my daughter. I ordered a lasagne. It was not very hot, contained very little meat and it felt like I was eating double layered pasta with a tomato sauce. I was offered a replacement but was just not in a good mood and declined as I didn’t feel I could eat something else. My daughter had chosen the mixed grill but was told they had ran out of the steak for this meal and they could upgrade the steak but would charge extra, which she did. When we went to pay, they had not charged her for the steak because of my meal. This was ok but I’d rather had been given a better quality lasagne in the first place. Many locals have said the same thing, you are never sure what kind of meal you are going to get here. The friendliness and atmosphere is always good though, just not always the food.

Came down for a wedding and stayed at the premier inn next door. Only 1 choice of real ale and that was badly kept and served. Sat at a table in the bar area, with salt and pepper along with menus on the table to be told by a member of staff we could eat in the bar area. Had breakfast the next day, dirty plates and rude staff member who was topping the food up. Scruffy pub but not really much choice round the area unless you want to drive to the black boy, which is about 5 min drive away
