The best restaurants in Sutton Suffolk Coastal East of England

The service was excellent. The food was so good. We had the chicken with tostones and calamari for appetizers. Their salmon over tortilla n green salad was very good.

These days, why would you go to a pub when it doesn't do food? The only thing that would encourage me to do so is if it was a very good pub. Luckily, this is a GREAT pub-I absolutely love it. It's got owners who immediately make you feel at home, a wonderful, welcoming, droll crowd of locals, lots of different entertainments (music, quizzes, various special events) and a characterful old building, lovingly restored and comfortably furnished. It's warm and lively -like the ideal of the perfect English village pub. On occasion, they guest some excellent local food-but it doesn't take that to bring people over the threshold. It's ALWAYS a pub well worth visiting.

Excellent. Back to a village pub with great service and food. We had our village Christmas meal for 36 people (up to 4 courses per person). We pre-ordered for our food due to a large booking. Great portions with the option to have a smaller size if required. Caters for all, requests for changes or dietary requirement were no problem. There was two takeaways, delivered hot. A great atmosphere. Highly recommend this village pub for the food, drinks and villagers banter. The staff are smile and are friendly. The pub was cosy and warm, Thank you

Got a takeaway Cappucino, sausage roll and biscuits for the dog🤣. The sausage roll is exceptionally good👌🌟🌟. Coffee is great too. The Jack Russell enjoyed his biscuits, plus a bit of my sausage roll🙄😅. Service was prompt, efficient and polite. Totally recommend.

A very peaceful and well kept site with good facilities. A great place from which to explore the area, which itself is quite beautiful.

This much-lauded place came highly recommended, and was one of the highlights of our trip to the Suffolk coast. Elegant decor, a roaring fire and a very warm welcome from the team of friendly waiters created a wonderful ambience. We took the Sunday Social menu, which was quite extraordinary. An array of amuse bouche, followed by a delicious feast of beef, pork, nduja Mac and cheese, bernaise, salads, parmesan fries, ending with a delightful affogato. All for £45 each (we would have happily paid double). A well-curated wine list with most available by the glass. The selection of oysters were jaw-dropping good. Very dog friendly; our pooch was greeted with his own plate of treats - a lovely touch. This place deserves all of the praise and accolades it's received.

This place continues to impress and seems to get better every time we visit. Flawless food, a really interesting wine menu and friendly service…what more could you want? The décor is so well done and their art collection is fantastic. I cannot speak highly enough about this place! There’s no point in naming the dishes we enjoyed most because all five of us absolutely loved everything!
