Had an INCREDIBLE Afternoon Tea at Cups and Cakes Cafe today. Everything was PERFECTION! The attention to detail and thought that has gone into each of the homemade delicious bakes and sandwiches were out of this world yummy. We had a delicious variety of sandwiches, sausage rolls, cheese scones with cream cheese and chutney, fruit scones with clotted cream and jam, strawberry fruit tarts, galaxy chocolate cupcakes, banoffee pies and of course, copious amounts of tea! Would thoroughly recommend Cups and Cakes for the personalized and friendly service too. I've experienced a lot of Afternoon Teas over the years and this was definitely the best! Thank you so much!!! 💜💜💜 🍰🎂🥪🧁☕🍴

Friendly, attentive staff. Clean cafe. Totally overpriced and limited menu for vegetarians. Great for vegans but not vegetarians. No vegetarian breakfast. Couldn't order meat breakfast minus bacon and sausage as menu stated possibility of cross contamination. Chilli con carne and sausage and mash £15-£16 per item? Ridiculous for a cafe price despite it being a nice cafe. £11 for a toasted sandwich without garnish. No. No chips, posh or greasy spoons cafes always do chips. £10 for a bowl of soup. Sure some people like throwing their money away but we don't. No burgers. Overpriced jacket spuds. Its a potato not a pot of gold. Restaurant prices don't belong in a place like this.

Good pub, personal service, nice food, good events and attention to detail. Wish it was walking distance from home, or that the wife didn’t like a drink too :)

We were here for a wake this afternoon and the place is beautiful. Staff were lovely amd professional, and a hot buffet was provided. It wasn't much of a selection, but it was piping hot and tasty. The pub was still open to the public as normal throughout, and it would have been nice to have had the place to ourselves a bit. But overall, it was a lovely afternoon.

I paid just under £5 for a small cup containing approximately 10 chips from the snack menu. I felt cheated and taken advantage of by this miserly portion. I went to one of their other Deben Inn pubs a few days before (Kings Head) and the portions were huge by comparison. There is no consistency or comparison on value for money and whomever decides on the portion sizes at the Fox is taking advantage of customers and needs pulling up on this. The coffee cup is bigger than the bowl in which the chips were served! Outrageous! See photo.

We love this place. There’s always loads of great dishes on the menu and they don’t mind tweaking bits for picky kids! The food is of the highest standard. The service is always friendly, efficient and nothing is too much trouble. Loads of parking. Highly recommended.

I would say that I enjoyed my visit. The menu was basic pub fayre, similarly priced to other similar establishments, which unfortunately now is quite expensive in general. However I do understand that this trade is now a tough one to survive in. One of the waitresses in particular was friendly, the older of the 2. Mini dessert and coffee was pretty good, not as mini as some places which was a nice surprise. Thank you. We all had burgers, this was why my daughter chose to come as she enjoyed the chicken burger on her previous visit.

The coffee was absolutely perfect – rich, smooth, and just the right temperature. The food was equally impressive, with fresh ingredients and delicious flavors. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the area – I'll definitely be coming back for more!

Discovered this little Café 3 weeks ago whilst visiting the nearby Katie's Nursery plant centre - it truly is a delight to this old vegetarian - had the best Nourish bowl and last Thursday a Humus Bowl - both delicious - there are meat dishes too so hubby enjoyed his and the cakes are to die for (if you have room) - there is a big under cover outside area with rugs on seats which is ideal fir walking parties- highly recommend this eating place

The pub we were heading for was closed so stopped in at this old favourite. Car park packed so we thought getting a table might be hard. However, most people were outside so we were okay. Fish & Chips was good (although the batter on mine was a bit greasy) as were the two vegan offerings - chickpea and butternut squash curry, and plant-based burger.

Dinning experience very poor food very average my wife's food definitely not fresh this dish Fristo Misto used to be cooked fresh in tampora batter it's now uniform shapes probably cooked from frozen. My Burger the ultimate stack served in a bowl the combination of pulled pork with the burger in a bun the bun was so full of juice very unpleasant & the burger was very dense & had a Rubery feel in the mouth. The staff all busy the art of conversation is officially dead no dinning experience includes chat of any kind from staff. Everyone is in a hurry food that comes aut an alarming rate it's not unusual these days to be expected to eat three courses in an hour & and a half. Constant clearing up sweeping up all, making the atmosphere very unpleasant rushed. Kitchen closing, please hurry it ridiculous. These eating venues will not survive if they don't calm down & engage with the customer. The place was empty at 9.30. The last one we went to butt & oyster they were cashing up at 9.30. It's simple you don't make us feel like you want us to be there & we won't be careful what you wish for.

Wow this place has some EXTORTIONATE prices. We walked in and there were a few paper menus with food but nothing showing drinks. I asked if they had a drinks menu to which the staff replied “I don’t think she’s written one”… odd?! What sort of cafe doesn't have a drinks menu displayed? We ordered a cappuccino, hot chocolate (basic one, not luxury with cream/marshmallows etc) and then a sausage roll, it came to £13.20!!! I didn’t question or really notice at the time but after walking away tried to work out how much each item must’ve been. I’ve since (from another bad review) see that a sausage roll is £4.20 (which also was definitely not something to rave about, it tasted like it had been sat in the oven for a while) and therefore the two drinks were £4.50 each. Absolutely ridiculous pricing, hence why I guess they don’t have a drinks menu displayed!! Certainly will not be recommending, nor returning.
