Turkish Kitchen Newquay in Suffolk Coastal

After waiting a long time for the food mine came out cold, a friends rice was cold, chips were cold. I mentioned to the waiter about my food, he took it back to the kitchen, it arrived after being put in the microwave the dish had yoghurt on so it kurdled. Waiter did apologise and said they were stressed as they were busy. No excuse!! Definatly wouldn't return for a second visit.

Myself and my family were on holiday having a lovely time until we visited this restuarant this was the worst experience we have had I would actually go as far as to say ever. . The service was so poor from start to finish the man that served us was incredible rude especially to the women in our party he appeared stressed and angry and in fact myself and my daughters were quite intimidated by his behaviour apparently he was the manager !!!. When the food came out it was just some boiled rice and lumps of meat that resembled dog food and it tasted awful really inedible … we love Turkish food but this was disgusting. What a terrible shame that in such a lovely part of England there is this disgraceful place …AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!!!

The food was simply outstanding . We started with hot delicious starters then we ordered grilled meat and mousaka.. best grilled meat!

We were warmly welcomed and invited to choose any table in a quiet restaurant. We had a number of delicious starters. We chose Ezme Imam Biyaldi. Tabbouleh and Sujuk sausage and in addition given some mixed salad , Turkish bread and a yoghurt and cucumber dish. All were absolutely delicious. The red Turkish wine was wonderful as was the Aryan. And this feast came to only £40! The service was quick and friendly. We’d return if we weren’t going home !

I visited Turkish kitchens at night and the guy at till wearing white clothes was shouting at me and I was straight away out off by the horrible customer service. A restaurant is a place to welcome customers not a you would expect to be told off, I then straight away visited the next door restaurant and the guys there were much more polite .

Went on Wednesday evening. We were greeted very well. Our orders were taken. My wife's food came Mine came 7 minutes after. Terrible service. I had ordered Kelfico. What I got was a microwaved lamb shank in a bowl of slosh... I have a tad bit of experience. Kelfico is slow-cooked lamb, it takes 4 hours the meat should fall off the bone. Normally served with Rice & roasted vegetables. I am a chef in a Greek restaurant I cooked it many times... This is the first ever terrible experience I had eating in either a Greek or Turkish Restaraunt they are normally of a high standard. So I suggest giving this one a very wide berth, There are many others in Newquay. Wish I had good somewhere else.

Amazing food! Great service and the food was excellent our second time visiting whilst down in Newquay can’t wait to come back.

An excellent chance find amongst so many chippies, pizza parlours and other "don't open on Mondays or Tuesdays" places. Granted, we were amongst very few other customers, but the menu was varied and interesting and the service was excellent. The food was well-prepared and gently spiced throughout. Portions were generous and the quality was well worth the prices. Would return regularly if we lived closer!

Where to start…. Entered this place & there was no customers in. The waiter came to us and was very abrupt. We was seated and placed a order. We were brought complimentary bread, hummus & a tomato & cucumber salad which was very nice. Then the main came which looked liked a dogs dinner!! The ribs were full of fat, the kofte kebab was all broken up as though it had been scraped off the grill, the chicken wasn’t fully cooked, the lamb cubes were very chewy & the chicken wings very salty! The worst Turkish food I’ve ever eaten. The waiter never once came & asked if everything was ok instead chose to mess on his phone at the bar area. I wouldn’t waste your money going here

We arrived at the restaurant and a waiter greeted us straight away and let us choose our own seats. Our waitress took our order and our drinks came quickly along with a generous portion of Turkish bread, salad, hummus and a cucumber yogurt. We had sea bass and lamb Shish on Turkish bread with yogurt. Both were excellent and cooked to perfection. The lamb was extremely tender and the sea bass was cooked perfectly and the flavours didn’t overpower the taste of the sea bass. We had both meals with chips and the portions were huge. The price of the meal was reasonable and our bill came to less than £45. Another great meal out in Newquay.

We really wanted to have a nice Turkish meal for dinner and looked this up as one of the most rated ones in Cornwall. Unfortunately the food wasn't great and very expensive for what it was. The ribs in the mixed platters only had fat on them and no meat. Everything was very oily. The worst part was the meat didn't look fully cooked in the Lamb Shish and Adana Kebabs which made us sick after eating. On the positive side they gave us complimentary bread and hummus on arrival. Not the best we've had, not sure if it was an off day but the food didn't feel it was cooked properly.

Very warm and welcoming close to our hotel and the food was great. After a great army reunion we were Hank Marvin and this place was ideal.

We visited on 31st May and thought it was going to be fabulous. No iskender kebab was just like chicken floating in yogart. The meze was nice but the mains were not so good. The waiter was rude and didn't know how to smile. I've lived in Turkey for 7 years and never had a meal like that! To top it off it cost just over £100 for 3 adults and 1 child. There was an older gentleman who was pleasant who didn't speak any English. Good job I spoke a little turkish to communicate with him. He worked hard and smiled! We won't return again there.

What an amazing meal we had! It was all really tasty with super service. Our starters were the cheese filo and stuffed aubergine and then the mixed kebabs with rice and veggie moussaka for main. Also had houmous, ezme and pittas to nibble on. It was all SO very tasty. Had to take some home! Excellent service and would go again if revisiting Newquay, and would recommend.

Lamb dinner just superb. Plenty of it and perfectly cooked. Unexpected starters really nice and well presented. Service excellent; unobtrusive and efficient. Well worth a visit and very good value. Recommend.

Delicious food with excellent service from Yilmaz. This place is a gem amongst the many pub style restaurants in Newquay - the one place you must try on your next visit. Thank you ☺️

It was a quiet Wednesday early evening , I ordered lamb chops asked for them quite well done , must say they were cooked to perfection! Hubby ordered mixed kebab he was very impressed, also given gorgeous pitta bread , dips and salad complimentary which were delicious. Cannot fault the food 10/10

We have eaten here before and found the food to be lovely so had no problem choosing it again but this time we found people smoking in the restaurant, which last time I checked was illegal. We left after explaining to the staff. We were worried if they don't know that law what other ones are they deciding to ignore.

The meal we had at the Turkish Kitchen was possibly the best meal we have ever eaten. Not just in England or Cornwall. We have lived and travelled most of Europe, Middle East, Africa, America, Mediterranean and quite simply the food here was way better. We were also offered entrees of delicious pitta bread, salad, homous, tzatziki and spicy tomato dip - incredible We did have to request unpleasantly loud English music was turned down twice. Authentic Turkish music would enhance the atmosphere. We were dismayed to notice two people being allowed to break the law by smoking in the fully covered patio/ conservatory on our way out. It is unlawful for people to smoke indoors, and illegal to permit this. If you can maintain the high quality of food then you will do exceptionally well, but please don't let yourselves down with unpleasantly loud English music or permitting smoking in your restaurant.

The food here is so lovely, I come here at least once a week the food and staff are always incredible! 10/10

Excellent food! A small corner of the Mediterranean brought to UK. Couldn’t have asked for a more relaxed atmosphere and better service from the family oriented staff! I will most certainly be bag and make sure I’m wearing baggier clothes 😊🙏🏻

This restaurant need to be close down ASAP rude waiter not a clean as possible as advise not to go there nothing as like this one needs to not to buy food from that restaurant.

Visited the restaurant with a large group and we ordered three platters from the menu. The quality of the food was fine however especially given the amount they charged the size of there platters was honestly laughable, a platter they charge £99 for that was meant to feed 6 people and didn’t even sustain 4 of us I would have said that 70% of the platter was made up of chips and rice given the size of them £40 would have been a reasonable price. Your better off just visiting the local kebab shop for a greasy doner
