Café Flex in Suffolk Coastal

I recently visited Cafe Flex with family for afternoon tea and it was a delightful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed, perfect for a relaxing afternoon. The food was delicious and good value for money. The cakes and scones were particularly tasty, whilst the sandwiches were really great too. Overall, a wonderful afternoon tea experience, I would highly recommend a visit!

I ordered the smashed avocado and poached eggs with halloumi and toast. Absolutely delicious, The eggs were perfect, the avocado was fresh and the halloumi was a nice addition. All brought together with salad, toast and tomato chilli jam. My wife had the prawn open sandwich, lovely, with fresh prawns and avocado in a subtle sauce and salad on the side. Friendly staff, excellent service with a nice atmosphere with a choice of indoor, outdoor or conservatory seating. Pricing was reasonable, I’ve come to expect an average of £10 a head wherever you go nowadays and the quality of our meal easily reflected the price. We will be back to try some of the other dishes that we saw being served.

What a pity they do not employ people who can cook to the standards as high as their prices? To start four coffees two very strong and bitter. Three ordered the large breakfasts with poached eggs on them that is six eggs altogether two to a plate all with hard centres they came up. I ordered the smaller breakfast with no egg just bacon mushroom tomato hash brown and toast.Up came bacon one slice half a tomato one small mushroom and no hash brown but black pudding small round size of a 50 pence piece which I do not eat anyway. plus two of toast which was cold. Have never known husband to leave anything of a cooked breakfast but he left toast as cold and half a sausage. Rather expensive for what we had and clearly cooked by amateurs. None of us will return for breakfast that is for sure. Not get caught twice. Nice place but plenty with just as nice surroundings and a lot cheaper in the area.

Visited for the first time today. Easy to get to (just off the A14), but a little hidden away (hence I’ve never been before as I didn’t know it existed!). Loads of parking and table space. There is a huge menu with loads of choice, and food is excellent quality. The team serving were the cherry on the cake, as they were all fully on the ball from the moment we arrived… friendly, helpful and highly efficient - a top team that worked really well together to provide a top customer experience! Definitely recommended.

What a lovely place!! Great selection for lunch with some interesting sandwich fillers, salads etc as well as some main courses, all with a healthy twist. Really good coffee. Service was efficient and friendly. Plenty of parking. We will be back!

I love coming to this Cafe. Food is always freshly prepared and delicious. Staff welcoming. Book if you can as the cafe can get really busy.

Terrible ......... We went for a quick stop , my partner went for avocado , toast with halloumi ......... poached egg was hard , toast was cold ........ I went for a large full English , lots of salt on breakfast , destroyed the flavour , sausages no flavour, eggs hard , only half sized bacon , toast cold , half sized bean portion ......... but the worst thing was a curly brown hair on the breakfast .......... Couldn't finish my breakfast to say the least , only to be met with , oh I'm sorry about that , I'll let them know at the checkout ......... Disgusted to realise that the price was plus vat .......... Not good for £50 ........

Lovely modern cafe, clean and welcoming, with extensive menu. Enjoyed a delicious "small breakfast". Very friendly and efficient staff. Very impressed, we will visit again. The cakes looked delicious!

Really lovely cafe and friendly staff. Popped in for a takeaway sandwich; all freshly made and delicious! Would definitely go regularly but sadly £8 for a takeaway sandwich is just far too much (same price as if you're eating in). Local competitors offer an equally good sandwich with coleslaw and crisps for less.

We had a lunch here on Friday 18th November 2022 and was impressed with the food, staff and surroundings, very clean, friendly and food was delicious! Couldn't praise enough 😊

Called in here for lunch. The cafe was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was nice, but a tad overpriced for a gym cafe and the portions were far from enormous. Overall, it served a purpose at the time.

Love love love this place. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food is lovely. It’s not the cheapest for breakfast but the quality and portion sizes are well worth what you pay! On this occasion I had the club sandwich which was soooo good and actually very reasonably priced at £10 For the size of it!

My daughter and I called by for a cuppa and cake but walked out again(as did the customer behind us) after being ignored by the three young staff behind the till. Totally involved in their own conversations and not bothered about customers.

Wonderful cafe. Friendly staff. Quick service and excellent food. Generous portions. Lots of parking available. Very clean. I definitely recommend .

The young lady at till was very polite and friendly. We sat outside in the sun and had cake and coffee. Lovely tasty coffee and delicious cake.

Will deffo be back , my first time greeted by a lovely lady , enjoyed my filled ham salad sandwich, crisps and salad, strawberry milkshake with cream and choc flake on top , will deffo go again Thankyou x😍

Another lunch at Cafe Flex. Friendly service and freshly prepared food, had to have the chicken tikka wraps again as they are really good, served with poppadoms, rocket, raitha and mango chutney. Also a good cup of decaf coffee served here. Excellent.

Had a fantastic meal! The staff were quick and attentive, food was excellent. The owner even came over and said hello and checked everything was perfect. Will definitely be coming back!
