Awesome food, waitress very good.

The food was average. We had a sharing platter, and all 4 pieces of meat were overcooked. We asked for medium, and they were all medium well. My daughters food was satisfactory. The waitress spilt very hot oil on me when bringing the food to the table and also on the jacket of the gentleman sitting on the table next to me. It has ruined my very expensive Amiri jeans. I wasn't even offered something to clean them with, let alone any compensation. Then when getting home we realised my sons new t-shirt that he had just received that day also had oil spilt down the back of it. I am thoroughly disappointed with the service, and frankly, it was rather embarrassing. I had taken my youngest out for a birthday treat for his 16th. I can't say I will be rushing back nore recommending family or friends to use the establishment either.

Our experience at Miller and Carter Ipswich was lovely. For food we had the fillet steak, seabass, and bacon and cheese burger all arrived hot and was delicious. A small selection of wines but good quality. The service provided by Heather was brilliant, she was warm and welcoming and very knowledgeable on the menu.

Saffron provided amazing 10/10 service. A great bubbly presence and made our visit. We had the Sunday Sharer meal for lunch and the value for money was great. Saffron made sure to check in throughout when it was appropriate to make sure we always had enough gravy. Couldn’t fault her service. I hope when we visit again soon we’re seen to by Saffron!!! :)

Visited last Saturday evening. Pleasant meal. Average steak, lovely sides. Ambience was good for a meal out with our teens (upbeat music, other children dining), would not choose the venue if I was looking for a romantic meal for two. Alma, was a lovely waitress.

A lovely place to go out and eat for an occasion, although more expensive than other restaurants in the area you are getting what you pay for. The steaks were incredible, and all of the sides were also delicious, ended up eating so much I thought I might have to roll out of the door. Henry our waiter was a delight, giving good recommendations and making sure we were looked after.

Good food, mainly good service, slow to come back to us after desert so we could ask for bill. Only two servers on, so they were very busy. Good value lunch menu with a good selection of food. Definitely recommend a visit for lunch

Out waitress Alma provided impeccable service throughout the 9th birthday celebrations for my daughter on the night. With 15 guests to wait on, Alma couldn't have been any more helpful. Her patience, consideration and attentiveness should be highly commended. Five star service and amazing food as always. Thank you!

Having been to many Miller & Carter's, I wanted to come here for a birthday dinner. I did mention this in my booking, and how I wanted to treat my family. The front of the house was cold, with no real welcome to us, just asking us whether we wanted a wine list and taking us to the table. The waiter was exceptional however, and was very kind and helpful. However the food was really off. Normally Miller & Carter does excellent steaks, but the temperatures were wildly off. We did order two steaks of a larger size, but both (which were ordered medium) came to one as medium well to the other being completely well done. Even my dad's medium-well steak was overcooked which was surprising. We hate to complain, but we had to return one of the steaks for my brother. When returned, it was much better, but it was just upsetting to see my parents look at their meals disappointed when I wanted to treat them. We paid and again the waiter was lovely, but once again as we left, we were completely ignored by the front of house. For the money you spend in a place like that, it's odd they couldn't at least say a goodbye? This was definitely a lowlight for Miller & Carter, but I'm hopeful this was a one off disappointing experience - it's just unfortunate it had to be on a special occasion like this.

We went here as we usually never had an issue. Catering for allergies is fantastic. Starts came quite quickly. They were very good to eat. Mains took a very long time to come out and seemed to sit on the pass for over 20 mins. The burger was tepid and overcooked, and cheese was well, more like plastic. Chips were cold. My steak in the middle was cold. And my chips were hot. Tomatoes was over cooked and the onion loaf was chewy. We didn't even have desert. They took off the burger from the bill

Had the set lunch menu which did not disappoint; tasty food and good value. Saffron, our waitress, was not only attentive but cheerful throughout, with a great sense of humour. It was a very enjoyable lunch with friends.

We went as a family of 4 adults and 1 child. One of the adults has an allergy to Onion and the restaurant catered fantastically. They checked through all ingredients in their food and told us which was suitable etc. They were also very attentive and checked in with us to see if everything was okay. 2 of the adults shared a steak sharing board and it was the most fantastic steak they’ve ever tasted, it was cooked to perfection and seasoned well. Our waitress was Alma and she was absolutely amazing!! Would definitely recommend miller and Carter and even better if your waitress is Alma. Thank you so much for the lovely meal and also to Alma for making our whole experience incredible. We will definitely be back!!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Miller & Carter, thanks to our amazing waitress Saffron. From the moment we sat down, she brought a wave of energy and laughter that made our lunchtime unforgettable. She not only took our orders with a smile, but also had us in stitches with her witty banter. Our boys—Big Nut, Bunny, and Pencil Head—were completely captivated by her fun personality. She went above and beyond to engage with them, making sure they felt included in the Steak Fest. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she had a knack for making our dining experience feel personal and special. It’s rare to find someone who can balance great service with such a light-hearted spirit. Thank you for a experience filled with laughter and delicious food! We can’t wait to come back and hopefully see her again!

We hadn’t booked……But we were pleasantly surprised to be seated and to enjoy a lovely steak meal……First class…… Our young waitress “Saffron” was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable…..Which made our experience complete……Thank you 🥩🍷🤗😂

I really enjoyed my time at miller and carter on Sunday 28th of October. First off the food was just delightful, and let me not get started on the scenery. However most important of all was the service, I had a very kind and funny waitress by the name of Yara and she supported all my needs. Thank you I will be visiting again.

The food was beautiful, we can not fault it one bit, best meal we have had out in awhile. Our waitress Saffron was delightful, such a cheery young lady, she had us all smiling the service was exceptional. Would 100% recommend this establishment and it’s a win win if your waitress is saffron x

A disappointment from start yo finish, on arrival on a wet Monday evening in late October, greeted, have you booked? No. We prefer you to book in advance! Understandable if it were busy by at best during our stay a max 40% of tables had guests at. Good waiter talked through allergies, gluten no problem, soya also - black pepper would he would talk to the chef. So we ordered he went to talk to the chef, considerably later he returned - mushroom starter could not be served black pepper free but the 50 day aged sirloin would be cooked in a pan not the griddle! Starters were good two buratta, one minus topping, and a prawn cocktail. Then, a long, long wait for mains. Sitting where we could see the pass, we could see two meals come up with allergy flags placed under lamps, along with other food, and just sit there. The two flagged dishes were there for 20 plus minutes before having garnish added and brought to the table. The burger had been overcooked and dried out under lights and was in edible. Surprisingly, the chips with them we cold! The two steak meals were tepid apart from the chips, which were hot . Staff offered to replace the burger meal, but we chose just to have some new chips. They then deducted the meal from the bill. No comments regarding the mainly left steak meals. A bill of £130 plus for three starters and two substandard mains with the cheapest wine - expensive night. It's not a patch on other M&C we have been to. We will not return here, but we may try another M&C elsewhere.

Visited here 4 times in the past today we were disappointed with the service and the food, our food sat on the hot plate 12 minutes before it was brought to us ,the waitress was more intrested in serving the bigger groups than us ,

We had a fantastic experience at Miller & Carter! From start to finish, everything was exceptional. Our server, Georgia, truly went above and beyond to make our evening special. She was attentive, friendly, and had a wonderful sense of humor that made us feel right at home. Her menu knowledge was impressive, and her recommendations were spot-on. The food was outstanding—steaks cooked to perfection and delicious sides that complemented each dish beautifully. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a memorable evening out. Recently visited Miller & Carter for a birthday lunch with my Mum. My mother has a very serious allergy to tomatoes which our server took very seriously. Dorota friend and efficient and made the whole ordering process simple checking with the kitchen as to what has traces of tomatoes in it. Food was incredible it is a case of you get what you pay for so yes it’s a little pricy but it’s so worth it. Both steaks were cooked to a perfect temperature. The whole M&C experience was amazing. I’d like to say a massive thank you to Dorota for her amazing friendly service. I am already looking forward to a return visit.

We went here after my Daughter's graduation today for a celebration meal. I would say it's ok but nothing special. If I had to be critical I would say the steak was seasoned nicely but just a tad over cooked resembling more "medium" rather than the medium rare ordered. Nothing major but when somewhere specializes in steak, it is a little bit.

We visited for my wife’s birthday this evening. We had a large group and we had an exceptional time. Huge thanks to our waiter, Paul, who was absolutely brilliant. He was professional, accommodating and really had things under control. The food was excellent, as always, and the new beef shin which is available as a side was excellent. We really couldn’t have asked for much more. It wasn’t our first visit and it definitely will not be the last. The Sunday set menu had a decent selection of items to choose from - I had the calamari, 8oz rib eye steak and the Lemon Tart for dessert. All perfectly cooked, and I loved the ‘brulee’ crispy top on the lemon tart. Thanks again M&C. We are very happy customers once more.

We had a lovely meal here. Staff were very attentive and fast at serving. We had a poor experience a year or so ago, so was good to see things have improved. Steaks were cooked perfectly and everything else very tasty. Just a bit pricey. £100 for two to dine.

Nice place. I had heard good things about it, so I was looking forward to going. Staff friendly, we was seated straight away, nearly 10 min passed before anyone came to see us. Asked if we wanted drinks, we did so we ordered drinks and the food we wanted at the same time. Also asked for a bottle of tap water. Starters arrived after about 15 minutes, whilst eating mine a little went done the wrong way and I was coughing, I wanted and needed a drink but nothing had arrived. My partner went to the bar to get me some water and was informed they would bring it over, not much help to me. Finally the water did arrive and before we could ask for our drinks they had walked off. When our plates were cleared, I asked about the drinks, I'll bring them over was the reply. Over 20 minutes for a glass of wine and beer, which I had seen sitting on the bar for over 10 minutes. The main arrived 50 minutes after ordering and we ordered some more drinks, we should have know better. We were halfway through the main and had to ask again for our drinks to be brought over. The main was wonderful, the staff all very polite. So it would have been a nice experience if not for the time we had to wait for everything. Only at the end was we asked if everything was alright. We just wanted to leave. If you haven't got enough staff, don't let the tables be booked.

We really enjoyed dining here for the 1st time as we were staying nearby for a truck show (Swedefest) and I honestly can't fault anything, food and staff were fantastic! It's just a massive shame that coming from Norfolk, this is the closest Miller & Carter to us 😔 but again 5* and if out towards Ipswich again, we will definitely be returning! Thanks guys 😊

The lady that served us was brilliant, so friendly, let us know what was unavailable on the menu and apologised. The food was delicious. Fillet steak so tender. Sticky chicken on starters is a must. Cocktails were so tasty but there really needs to be a better deal for cocktails! Overall we were both really happy with our visit, however there were about 5+ things that were unavailable on the menu which were all popular so that was a bit disappointing.

Went there tonight as a birthday meal for my son and the food and service were excellent. Alice our server was lovely.

Tonight we came back with a little hesitation as on the last occasion our steak had not been the best . But our meal tonight was simply lovely, chateaubriand to share and it was well worth it although being big people with big appetites we could have done one each. Saffron was our waitress and how lovely that she remembered us from our last visit which was some time ago. She is like a breath of fresh air, always friendly, welcoming and really helpful. I would happily come back just to see her. Somehow she makes a fairly crap day into a good one. Very happy customer 👍 especially being gluten free. Check out the banoffee pie it’s one of the best gluten free options I have had .

My girlfriend and I have been here a few times and wow we are blown away every time, the service is incredible and the food tastes exquisite, personally my favourite is the sirloin with the grilled lobster. Kay was brilliant and really attentive, keep it up guys!

Arrived 7.0pm for dinner. Main course did not arrive until 8.30pm. My ribeye steak which was 32.50 contained about 50% fat. One would expect quality produce for that amount of money. Have not eaten hear lately but will not be in a hurry to return.
