Just been here for an evening meal. E has delicious food served by the most delightful and smiley owner. Her husband is the chef, who made the most wonderful baked Alaska, unlike any I’ve ever had but totally delicious. The coconut prawns e shared as a starter were fabulous and the main course beat me; too much deliciousness on one plate. We have to go again and take friends with us. I want them to know about this place too.

What a find, a traditional English pub with the perfect welcoming ambiance. Great selection of local beers and a proper home cooked Sunday lunch. Great menu with loads of local produce, cooked perfectly and delivered to your table with a smile..

An absolute must visit if travelling through Suffolk! My partner and I went for brunch yesterday and it was easily the best start to our day! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with the perfect balance of a cozy, yet spacious feel. The staff were all incredibly friendly, thanks to Lucy for serving us with the biggest smile! We didn’t brave the outdoor seating as the wind was a little crisp, but it is absolutely beautiful, and I imagine perfect for enjoying a meal while soaking up the sunshine! BEST OF ALL it’s pet-friendly, which is a huge plus for us as my partner’s staffy loves to adventure with us! The staff spoiled him with biscuits, cuddles and a lot of attention! As for the food - WOW! It was absolutely delicious! Every bite was full of flavour and perfectly presented - Chef Mark blew us away. The menu had a wonderful variety, and I could tell everything was made with the freshest local ingredients. The coffee was just as good (we can personally recommend the flat white!) it was smooth, tasty and the perfect complement to our brunch. Overall, this café is a hidden gem! We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!!

For years this Farm Shop has always been an enthusiastic 'must' stop when travelling on the A12. But maybe not so on the next journey. Yesterday, straight away, the once notable usual good vibe was missing. Apart from one member of staff - there was no attempt to make their customers feel welcome - robot methods were seemingly in operation. It is understood that it is now under new ownership and about to be revamped. It can only be hoped that the welcoming friendly atmosphere will return. But, a great pity that at the moment it is lost.

We just came back from the all you can eat curry night that was advertised. It was a lovely evening, attentive and professional staff who spent the time to say hi to our son and have a general chit chat. Nothing was too much when we requested hot water to heat up our son’s pouch, which we were very grateful of! The buffet was a fair price and was lovely, a good range of food on offer, the mint chutney was zingy and made your mouth water. A few more stars of the show for me were the lamb rogan Josh and the grilled seabass. All the curries were flavourful and the meat tender. Definitely a not so hidden gem off the A38 and well worth trying out if you are ever passing by.
