The best restaurants in Marshalswick North St Albans East of England

This place was recommended by a friend and I’m so pleased that we tried it. From the moment I phoned to book we felt welcome. I called the day before for a table of six on a Friday night for my daughter’s birthday and although they seemed busy when we arrived and one of their chefs was off they still took our booking which I was very grateful for. The food was lovely and the portions were generous. We all enjoyed our food, both starters and mains. The year before we’d gone to an Itallian in London and ended up with tiny overpriced portions but these portions were the perfect size even for the most hungry of our group! I didn’t manage all of mine but was kindly given a box to bring it home in. We would definitely like to visit this restaurant again.

This was our first visit to Nouvelle Lounge at The Quadrant and we were really surprised. The restaurant was very busy and the atmosphere was vibrant. We were welcomed and taken to our table very promptly. Drinks arrived soon after and our food order was taken by friendly, knowledgeable staff who were able to answer all our questions. We didn't have to wait too long for our delicious food, the mains arriving with a theatrical flourish of dry ice. Over all we had a lovely evening. This place is a great asset to this area.

The shop is clean, staff are extremely friendly, I'd ordered a Mexican chicken French stick and I had an octopus code for a free regular coffee. A staff member reminded me I could get a meal deal drink in with my roll, so I got a bottle of Fanta with the price 9nly being £3.75 in effect I had the Fanta for free. They always remind you of a deal or to use your app. One of the best Greggs. Well done to employing such happy friendly staff

Whilst the delivery was delivered "on time", the delivery window had changed twice by the time the food arrived.

Fantastic place. Massive portions. I would say it does the best breakfast in St Albans. The place was clean, tidy and the staff were welcoming. My only complaint would be the noise. It is a very noisy cafe... Because it's so popular. The radio was definitely not needed and just added to the background noise which is annoying if you want to ha e a nice conversation or simply some peace

My favourite local coffee spot. Great coffee, friendly faces, good selection of lunch bite and pastries. Fresh juice selection if you need a bit of healthy option. Perfect for meetings and remote work if you need to get out of the house and change a scen. Parking around the corner and they have loyalty programme.

Great area to share a kebab. The food was amazing and the overall service was just perfect. The meat was great and pita wasn’t soggy even though there was a lot of sauce. The prices are fair for very good portions and had a great experience with the staff.

Chips were cold and food only warm .
