The best restaurants in Southend-on-Sea East of England

Went for a Bottomless Brunch. Food was lovely, service excellent and the staff so attentive and hard working - glasses always full and great vibes. Would recommend

My boyfriend and I shared a gluten free blonde slice. I have struggled with getting gluten free products from bakeries due to my anxiety around the cross contamination however the display is kept completely separate and sealed when taken away from the shop. My boyfriend is not gluten free and said the blonde was so good that he didn’t believe it was gluten free! We have also had a birthday cake (gluten free) which was also delicious

This is ,without doubt,the best and nicest tasting place to eat in all of Southend. Nothing prepared me for how tasty and fresh the food would be, nor how comfortable and welcoming the restaurant was to eat in. The menu is broad enough to suit most if not all hungers,and from the first bite, the quality was immediately noticed and thoroughly enjoyed. The staff are kindness and smiles, and genuinely engage with and care for their customers. They also offer a delivery service as well as an eat in location,which is always speedy and hot. Do your part people spread the word about this place, I cannot recommend enough. If you find any of this hard to believe, go and try yourselves, but I doubt I'll be proven wrong.

Just had a lovely brunch on a Sunday morning. Delicious food and coffee, friendly and accommodating staff, lovely decor. You can tell they’ve sent lots of time and effort to make it look nice. Very floral! Will be returning when we’re next in Westcliff

I attended a wake at Woofers. Friendly, obliging staff. EXCELLENT sandwiches. FABULOUS cakes. Can't wait to return for more cake, thank you x

Last day of the school holiday needed a little treat for me and my son. He would rate Wilma's 15 out of 5. He loves it here! Staff are friendly and chatty, brownie was delicious and I even took a piece of carrot cake home for my daughter. Wlimas gets our vote 😊

Wow love this place , we went and had the 9 inch pizza, and the Paprika chicken . The owner cook d for us and made us and the hospitality was superb! Can’t wait to go back .

Lovely food at a reasonable price. Owner polite and friendly. Always pop in here for a breakfast when in the area. Recommended.

Wow so much better than expected the food was great, the smoothie was perfect I had the tropical one and you can tell it had been made with fresh fruit not that packet stuff most places use! Also managed to pick up the rest of my meals for the week as I’m to busy to cook what an excellent idea!

I have been having Chinese from this take away for years!! Best Chinese I have had!!! I have 6 fussy children and they all find something of the menu...your needs are well catered for, if you ask to have a change to your dish they will always accommodate. Portions are large, price is excellent and service is fantastic!! If you collect you Dave 10%, which is a great saving. Have no negatives about this takeaway...have missed them during the lockdown!

This is a nonprofit establishment, charity, run by volunteers. All money raised goes back into the community in the form of events and trips. Very clean. All food is freshly cooked to order. The bread and rolls are fresh on the day. As it’s a charity it’s very cheap. The volunteers are very friendly and welcoming.

Great bakery with delicious range of hot food, pastries, hot drinks. The cheese steak bake in wholemeal bread was delicious with the jalapenos peppers too. Smooth coffee. Flaky creamy sweet pastel de natas. Outdoor seating too. Thank you!

Absolutely amazing shish chicken kebab ... was delivered hot with a free garlic pizza bread ... we all loved it and we’d order every week if it was in our budget xx is also healthy thanks very much
