We’ve enjoyed a weekend camp over at this pub and would highly recommend the venue. Camping in our campervan offered a large field with electric hookup, bins and chemical waste disposal in a peaceful location at the side of this great pub/restaurant. The team at the pub couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating, the food, drink and ambiance were all spot on for a relaxing and chilled out weekend. We enjoyed drinks on one night and a fabulous meal the next, that was like it was from a top restaurant, very well done and good value for what was served. Dogs are welcome, the place had a lovely village, family friendly feel, will definitely return, it was lovely to explore the local surrounding countryside.

We love to pop in here for Sunday lunch. The service has always been warm and friendly when we've been. The menu has a wide choice for such a small pub. The roast was beautifully presented, with a wide variety of delicious vegetables and a huge Yorkshire pudding, and extra gravy. The only thing I didn't enjoy were the roast potatoes; but then I have yet to find a pub that makes good roasties. They need to be smaller, crispy on the outside and fluffy in the inside. I had the pecan tart for pudding, which was delicious, served with caramel ice cream. Just lovely.

I would have given this place a rating in the negatives but giving 1 as needed to write a review. The food is absolutely awful. My husband ordered one of the loaded dogs and I wish we had taken a video of how it was … inedible slop. I ordered a lamb dish which again was inedible the flavour was sweet and mostly just tasted of cinnamon taking over the entire dish When the plates were taken it was evident that we had barely touched our food but there were no questions from the wait staff. I could tell from their expression that they had picked up on it. My drink which was a large Malbec tasted astringent and stale Disappointing beyond belief. I’d always thought this place was one to visit as we passed it for several years. I would say nice cosy pub but eat at your peril (that’s if you like good food) Anyways

I had booked a day off to have a long weekend, the weather was sunny and we decided to visit Burgh Castle for the first time. We booked at The Queen's Head for lunch for the two of us and will definitely be back! The pub itself is clean, well laid out with good solid furniture and plenty of room. The staff were very friendly, the food was delicious and very good value - generous portions - I had the chicken and mushroom pie and my husband had the ham, eggs and mash. His diet is very limited due to a lot of food allergies, so happily he would be glad to eat that dish every time!

We've been visiting the Waveney River Centre Inn for 20 years, and it just gets better. This summer, we've been many times and the new specials menu is a welcome addition. Yesterday we had the salmon & prawn linguine, sitting on the sunny terrace overlooking the beautiful marshes. Heaven. Great value food and wine, fabulous setting, lovely friendly welcoming staff. See you again later this week!
