what a find a suburb restaurant hidden away in Hitchin college run by the students this was my wife and i 3rd visit to the meadows a very high standard of service and the food is fantastic you must try it

Just wonderful! Found this gem of a place at Kew garden Christmas Trail. Simply delicious! The most beautifully authentic Iraqi food that feeds the soul. Will definately be keeping their details for any future event catering needs! Thank you!

Best Thai in Hitchin and most reasonably priced. Most delicious flavourful curries, noodles and freshly made spring rolls that are to die for. Food is clearly made with love and care. Delivery is speedy and food arrives piping hot. My favourite part is that they put tiny enoki mushrooms in their curries which are delicious and adorable.

I feel so lucky to have discovered this place, Polcaros, it’s so amazingly tasty that I have to choose practically EVERYTHING! Such wonderful service every time & what amazing history about the place written up on the wall! 🤩 A MUST for everyone! Really caring owner, brilliantly priced & packaged, in-fact I am eating as I type! (mushy pea-fritter, scrumptious). Excellent batter so the chips speak for themselves, yum! such awesome Cod, Beautiful Battered Sausage again, Spring-roll I couldn’t wait to have so had it there & then on the spot! I have never had such juicy deep fried mushrooms, Can’t wait to eat the Battered Burger but will have to as everything is so good and has filled me up so much that I may save it as a midnight feast 😀 or even take it to work with me as I’ve never had one before. There is so much for every occasion and every person! Thanks Again.

I wouldn’t even give one star. The staff is highly unprofessional, with absolutely zero customer service. Highly not recommended

Nice friendly pub and the beer was excellent don’t think they do food

We recently visited The Millstream for an overdue family get-together. We had chosen The Millstream as the place to meet for a Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed, the Millstream is absolutely fantastic, to the point where it's actually better more impressive than it's website photos. We enjoyed great food and drinks and were looked after by our server who was friendly and attentive. An enjoyable lunch, definitely recommended, we will return when in the area again.

We visited today. There was a limited menu due to Christmas lunches, which was fine. We ordered a tuna mayo sandwich on brown bread with salad and chunky coleslaw. And a tuna cheese ciabatta with salad and chunky coleslaw. Waited 20 mins, which again was fine given the time of year. But the sandwich turned up on white bread, and neither had coleslaw. The server who bought it apologised and took the sandwich back. He returned with the sandwich on normal brown bread. Still no coleslaw, to which he said “there isn’t any”, we had not been told that there was none when ordering as we would have gone elsewhere, and what poor customer service to then bring the food without it and not say a word. Rip off. We stated that we wanted a partial refund, the young lad went to ask and said that ‘Gary’ would sort something out. Gary didn’t even bother coming to see us, let alone sorting something out. But I also have to mention the salad could have fitted on a tablespoon. The bread was normal sliced supermarket. The sandwich cost was £8:45 and the small ciabatta cost was £8:99. Really just for a small sandwich and small ciabatta. Very expensive, poor quality and a rip off trying to get away with delivering a plate of food with things paid for missing, hoping we would not notice there was no coleslaw on the plate. And to top it all, the manager ‘Gary’ totally ignored the complaint and may just have said “tough”. Do not visit this garden centre if you expect to eat well at good value prices and and above all, to be treated respectfully.

Terrible! I’m not sure what’s happened to this Pizza Hut over the years but it’s the worst it’s ever been. Spent £35 on 2 pizzas for 4 children & 2 adults. Delivered within 45mins but freezing cold and chewy. I called up immediately to explain. They assured they’d replace immediately. An hour later, the children are hungry and needing to go bed (it’s been 2 hours since original order) so the children microwaved the pizza to heat (still chewy though) and got ready for bed. The replacements then arrive and he asks for the pizza back. I explained most of it had been eaten as children were so hungry and have gone to bed. He said okay. Handed over nee pizzas. My partner and I began to eat it when my phone rings. Again and again. (We are now trying to eat). I answer and sure enough it’s Pizza Hut. The lady decided to shout down at the phone that we’d eaten most of the pizza. She wouldn’t let me explain about the children and by now it’s 7:30pm and they’d waited 2 hours since original order. She just wanted to shout down at the phone, not let me speak and hang up! The most unprofessional experience ever! Lost our custom forever and will ensure others boycott Pizza Hut as well! Awful place

Tuesday 30th of July. First of all all i had a nightmare ordering on there website so i phoned the Hitchin branch. 3 times I stated i wanted 2 for Tuesday Pepperoni feasts. To receive 1 pepperoni feast and 1 margarita and I believe I was overcharged £3 including delivery charge from price stated in website. Phoned up and complained the next day has exactly the same last who took my order, it was only after i said i would take it further that she said i would take it further she assured me I would get my next order free. I phoned for that yesterday 3rd August to get a gentleman. I it was hard work getting convincing him they owed me a free order. He even had to phone me back because he got got details wrong. I got 1 free pizza for the one that was wrong, I know very little recompense for the aggravation they have caused. Complained on there website again yesterday 3rd August more or less what I have wrote here to be given a robotic answer by Shona G glad you enjoyed are 2 for Tuesday. I can't even reply email just gets sent back. Usually i collect but i am in town looking after a friend's dog, I have had no problems before but with exception of the drivers who where both polite a pleasant the rest of the experience beyond bad meaning clearly loyalty means nothing to this company, case of pay peanuts you get monkeys. Imbeciles!!!. Avoid!! This place looks the plaque.
