Great couples bar - landlady is very friendly does great tricks with beer mats and corkscrew - never seen anything like it

My boyfriend ordered a cake from Eli for my birthday in July and all I can say is that it was amazing! So tasty and it looked just stunning. I’ve had a few other bits from Eli also and everytime I collect i am not disappointed! You can tell that she loves what she does, and puts her heart in to anything she bakes.

By far the best coffee in Sawbridgeworth! Had a delicious Pastel de Nata. Lovely cafe with cosy indoor seating and a nice terrace in warmer weather.

This place within walking distance of a close relative, so when we visit about twice a year we usually have a dinner there. One again we were entirely satified and happy with our different meals , and the service and general hospitality were exemplary. I have other revues on here for previous visits

A good old traditional boozer. No food here I'm glad to say. Sometimes I goes there to sit and think, and sometimes I just sit.

I went today with my sister and I must say what we had was delicious the food was fresh and presented very well. We were made very welcome. Spotlessly clean! We will definitely be going back to try other food and drink 💯

Came here for a little birthday meal with the family. Needed somewhere with good food but also relaxed as we have a baby. Food was amazing, every one of us loved our order. The service was excellent everyone was super friendly and attentive and every detail about our preferences remembered and taken care of. We'll definitely be visiting again.

I dont even know where to start. Not to be rude but i really cannot understand how the ratings are so high. I saw a bunch of reviews beforehand saying the food is shop bought and frozen and i didnt believe it because the ratings are so high but unfortunately those reviews are accurate. Everything is frozen and shop bought and no amount of explanation will convince me otherwise. The salsa is the exact same as they sell in Tesco, same with the garlic bread. I was in shock. Everything tasted like it had come straight from the freezer or a container. Appetizers were so bad we didn't even order mains. Drinks were 10/10 though so i'd come back for that only. I asked for chilli sauce as the food had no flavour and they brought me that vinegar based chill sauce, you know the cheap stuff that you get in kebab shops? That was the final straw for me. What makes it worse is the price point! I dont mind paying a premium for good food but paying as much as they charge for frozen slop is just not good enough. The guy who served us was nice enough but it took a while to get anybodies attention as when we walked in they were all around the back which i couldn't quite understand. in terms of the restaurants ratings, the only thing that makes sense to me is just how low peoples standards are for food because i could have done a better job at home by myself.

Wonderful food, WONDERFUL service from barmaid Billy who was simply lovely, welcoming and warm. Give her a raise! Food was absolutely top too. We'd eat her anytime. Great NZ Sauv Blanc as well.

Friendly 'locals' pub which shows sport in several tvs and has a dart board & jukebox

Outstanding non dairy ice cream. Great flavors and not just fruit. I had a maple walnut soy ice cream with real nuts. Great mouth feel, similar to ice cream. Next time I am in bar harbor it will be on my visit list. Super friendly staff too. Remember to tip, they deserve it.

We all really enjoyed the food, there is something for everyone. Good vegetarian options. It's very tasty. The wait staff are super friendly and quick with the service.

Only visited this place after a funeral. Unfortunately, my husband slipped on the fake grass in the garden. We did use the facilities whilst there, which were clean but basic. Small parking area to the rear. I never saw any member of staff while we were there (just over an hour) so cannot comment on service at all.
