Old Bell Inn in East Hertfordshire

Only visited this place after a funeral. Unfortunately, my husband slipped on the fake grass in the garden. We did use the facilities whilst there, which were clean but basic. Small parking area to the rear. I never saw any member of staff while we were there (just over an hour) so cannot comment on service at all.

Only popped in for one. But was lively.

Been a few years since I had been in the Old Bell. Popped in for a pint to shelter from the rain( any excuse will do). Has been renovated since I was last in and has improved the look while retaining it's historic layout. Good range of beers on offer and friendly welcome from the single member of staff behind the bar. Pleasant local pub and worth a visit if visiting Sawbridgeworth ( even if it isn't raining). There is also a pleasant beer garden

Since the latest refurbishment - there have been a few over the years and each one has slowly knocked the stuffing out, I feel you could be in any pub, anywhere. Sterile and trying to be London trendy.

This pub has a great covered outdoor area with heaters...they often gave libe music on a Sunday

Sorry for the crazy review, but all I can say is bloody brilliant. Staff, buffet and beers absolutely brilliant

We held my father’s wake at this pub…. It was so well handled, the staff were FABULOUS 😊 They ran a bar tab, & supplied food. It was excellent quality, and very good value. Would thoroughly recommend 🤩

Large covered outdoor area, was going to ask if we could bring dog but didn't need to ask as it seemed nearly 40per cent had dogs with them. Only stopped in for a drink, so can't comment on food, but there was a menu on the table and it looked like a good offer. Will probably visit again next time I'm in Sawbo

Best pub in sawbo, great drinks for low prices, also they host good entertainment and events for good causes, would happily come here again

Very nice putside area pity the food wasn't great

Vodka & tonic and Orange juice & lemonade £10.20 I found this very expensive, it was half a Orange and lemonade

Went here for a cheeky cocktail, very beautiful old pub, well maintained, very hospitable staff. Lots of outdoor covered tables with heat lamps and comfy seating. Highly recommended.

All good ,beer service , venue, all great ,BUT THE MENS TOILETS STANK !!! , needs to be sorted , they must have had complaints , if not maybe people in Sawbridgeworth have no sense of smell, 🤔🤔

Nice atmosphere and very large outdoor seating area Great if you want to take a dog with you. Service is good and staff friendly. I would say the biggest drawback is not providing meals. You can bring food in and eat at your table. In all honesty not likely to go back as would prefer to have a cooked meal. The live music events look to be good as the outdoor area is covered and quite substantial.

Beautiful beer garden out the back of the pub. A little dated indoors even after refurbishment a few years back however the beer garden more than makes up for it!

Since the refurb the Old Bell is my goto pub in Sawbridgeworth. The outdoor space is well covered and nicely furnished. Even on a chilly night the outdoor heaters mean it's still comfortable in a light jumper (climate guilt notwithstanding). Beer and drink selection is par for the course and staff are friendly.

I was very impressed with the old bell, wonderful outside seating, very friendly and attentive, great atmosphere, it will now be one of my regulars

Took my lad for a quick drink and to try out the new pizza facility ... I love a proper pizza oven and this turned out to be a real success. Table ordering/delivering or you can order at pizza oven. The beer was, of course, top notch too!

What a fantastic outside area. Wonderful person taking orders and bringing drinks. Haven’t visited for a while as outside space not that accessible in the past The new space is easy to access and well worth a visit. Would give 6 stars if I could. Also lots of parking if needed. Recommend walking as beer beyond.......

The Old Bell in Sawbridgeworth is a small and friendly pub. There is a very large garden to the rear with lot of tables and seating.

Recently refurbed and a lovely pub with music in Fridays.

Redecorated and looking lovely. Bands on a Friday. I've always found it a friendly pub to go in.

Nice old traditional pub, with friendly welcoming staff. Lovely traditional building which when decorated will enhance Bell St even more. But great that these pubs are still holding up tradition! Locals are very chatty :)

It's a nice little pub. It does an OK lunch. In the summer months it's nice to sit in the beer garden.
