Delicious sourdough pizza. Everything is made to order, super thin pizza nice and crispy, oven baked. Isabelle was delightful. Just here for a quick visit, but if I lived here I'd definitely be back. They also have a rewards program. And some specials. Picture of my leftovers because everything was so good I couldn't just leave it. But my husband and I ordered our own pizza.

In 1 month i ate 5 times and still counting on, very fast, even better than most of the places i ate in Italy and happy staff. I recommend to everyone, special thanks to Isabelle and all the staff they are all lovely

Fantastic service and really kind staff. I fell asleep on the train and they had shut by the time I got back to Stortford. They promised to make me another pizza the next day and did. Really kind and really thoughtful and obviously the pizza was delicious! Would massively recommend as Franco Manca has the best priced and best pizzas in town with amazing staff too

Slipping in our estimation after being a go to for us for over 10 years. Staff are always nice and the food is good with a reliable pizza compared to the competition overall. I would have to say its noticeable that corners are being cut to reduce costs but it is affecting the product. Thinner pizzas than ever before and toppings scarcely sufficient. The toppings seem micro shredded to go further and I was left with a lingering taste in my mouth so I can only think that flavour enhancers and additives are being used rather than fresh ingredients. I dont feel I'm getting value for with the prices being asked so we only go when we have vouchers to spend nowadays.

On Tue 18th June my son had a pizza making birthday party here and I cannot recommend having a party here enough. From the booking communication to the service we received on the day was 10/10. The chef had 12 highly energised boys mesmerised as they made the dough and added their toppings. The only slight disappointment was that their pizzas were not cooked. Some guests asked for boxes to take the dough home. Overall really great value for money, great customer service and delicious food! We love dining at Franco Manca. Daniele and staff are just fantastic.

Pizza was of good quality - unfortunately I ordered via Deliveroo, which meant it arrived 15-20 mins after it was due, and 30mins after the restaurant had prepared it. Unlikely to order again due to Deliveroo service.

yesterday I ate pizza for the first time I started to having stomach pain right away I didn’t stop to go to the bathroom for two days and I’m still not well now, maybe the pizza dough doesn’t rise long enough or it not well prepared ,I will not eat pizza anymore in this restaurant,very disappointed….

I have ordered a n.10 sourdough, via deliveroo,swapping the normal mozzarella for the bufalo mozzarella, paying a total of £21.34 including delivery and service fee. Immediatly after eating the tasty pizza, I had to rush to the toilet, with a very upset "runny" stomach !! I apparently am not the only one to whom this has happened ,ordering pizza at Franco Manca!!!. Stay away from the pizza there!!!!

We were served so well, and the staff were so friendly with our toddler. There was a short wait for food and drinks but the staff were very accommodating and when the food arrived it was delicious! Kids eat free which wasn’t very well advertised, nor was quite how good the pizzas would be when they arrived! Thank you for a great meal

Pizza tasted amazing and the dips were a great combo with the pizza. Getting the burrata on top of the pizza is worth it.

Everyone..... authentic Pizza. Was there today lunch. No 7..... yum yum yum with Aubergine and house salad..... amazingly authentic. I have done all the others.... just go Franco Manca... really really good

Amazing restaurant. We came in as a group of four and we’re very well greeted by the owner. We shared four pizzas between us and they couldn’t have been more authentic. Will definitely return!

I was recommended to use Franco Manca by my friend and ordered for the first and last time via just eat. Pizza did not arrive, although the app said delivered, and then called the restaurant who basically didn't care! We were fobbed off with " the manager will call you back " and they never did! First and last time using just eat and Franco Manca which is a shame as they use organic products. Terrible customer service when things go wrong!

Had an absolutely outstanding experience at the Bishops Stortford Franco Manca, while taking two friends along that had not been before. We sat in their lovely back garden and had wonderful food and conversation with the exceptional team there. Particularly the excellent Isabelle who made sure everything was tip top and kept the conversation and engagement going well. I will definitely be back, I'm a regular but my friends loved their first time and were singing it's praises all of the way home. Thanks to all!

Went here while staying nearby to catch a flight from Stansted airport. Went for a reliable pizza and as ever PE delivered. Pizza was delicious and service good, nice spot in the town too in a characterful old building.

"Wowza! Franco Manca in Bishops Stortford turned my kid's pizza party into an epic dough-tastic adventure! The staff were like pizza wizards, sprinkling joy everywhere. Not only did the chef's whip up mouthwatering pizzas, but they also transformed into dough-senseis, teaching the kiddos the ancient art of dough-kneading.🎉 Huge shoutout to the wonderful table staff Isabelle, Tilly and Gennara. They were so friendly and very helpful. Franco Manca have crafted memories that will remain for years to come (and probably our shirts too, thanks to all that delicious sauce)! We had a great time!🍕

Some of the best traditional Pizza's outside Italy, reasonably priced for the large sizes of their Pizza's, unfortunately the extremely high cost for additional toppings is shameful for the quantity received, it could easily reduced by 2third and still make an healthy profit. My 2 stars rating is purely for the above comments.

I had the worst pizza ever. It was tasteless and cold. I am never going back there again.

The staff in here were friendlyworkingn hard and trying their best, but they couldn’t manage all of the tables as it was so busy. There was a very long wait for food and when it did arrive my pizza was burnt underneath. To be fair they did knock 5% off the bill, but not ideal. Toilets were grim and need more regular checks/cleaning.

The food is amazing here! We had the gluten free pizza and it was so delicious. Lots of great gluten free options! We came here late at night and the staff stayed open for us & were amazing! So kind & warm and took great care of our family! They went out of their way to be so accommodating and make us feel so welcome. We love Tilly, Katarina & Kayla! Highly recommend coming here for a wonderful meal where you’ll also receive incredible service.

Just ordered take out for the office and they we'e very quick with collection and pizza's are still piping hot! You can tell all the toppings are fresh and made to order and the pizza's are always cooked to perfection. Also, very friendly and attentive staff!

Booked a table for 6 and 1 child in advance but they no knowledge of this when we arrived. Easy to get seated though as half empty and now we know why. Firstly got to say waiter was brilliant though but everything else was appalling. Took ages to get a drink, only two starters turned up so had to chase the rest which had clearly been forgotten and by the time they arrived the others two had finished. Main courses all arrived within 5 minutes of each other so acceptable. One pizza was stone cold and both pizzas hardly had any toppings on them. Certainly not worth £20 each. Salads were ok. Squid was burnt to a crisp and the crumb tasted like burnt toast. The childs meal did not arrive at all and again had been missed by the kitchen. Eventually it did arrive had had to wait while it was cooked so the whole meal was disjointed. Two sides arrived after all other food had been eaten and were basically left. Coffee machine was broken so no proper coffee available. Our bill was given to another table in error which they had paid so we were presented with someone elses bill with different dishes on it etc. They knocked 20% off for all the problems we had incurred and they clearly knew it was unacceptable as we had not asked for a discount. Will never go back to a Pizza Express, it is out dated and the food is poor by competitor standards. Cost us £170 for a load of junk to be honest. I would sooner of had cheese on toast at home!

We were waiting to place the order 10min. No one pay attention to our table. Pizza arrive burn. Toilet was dirty and no soap to wash hands. We are visiting Franco Manca more often in different restaurants but the experience we have is opposite to that night at Bishop’s Stratford. Very disappointed.

You really can't beat Franco Manca in Stortford - pizzas are the best and such good value. Staff are very friendly, efficient and welcoming. We visit often but recently took my daughter and group of friends for her 14th birthday, the staff could not have been nicer and more generous- free garlic bread for the table and I was offered limoncello and tiramisu when I came to collect them. All round brilliant.

Me and my little sister visited here today and we had such a lovely time! Daniele served us and he was so lovely, welcoming and we had a really nice chat with him. I think Stortford was really missing a place like this! As an Italian myself, and a food lover, I couldn’t knock this place on anything! The food was amazing, I love the vibe of the restaurant, the staff were friendly and all smiling, the service was impeccable! Couldn’t fault this restaurant. It was a Mother’s Day special and we had a very poor experience . Firstly we ordered red wine but didn’t have any wine glasses . Said it would be a long while to get any !! One of the starters was left off and we were waiting probably 15mins to arrive so we could all eat together !! When it did there was no garlic in the garlic mushrooms !!! They were out of nearly all the diet drinks !! Had to ask for cutlery for the second course and in the end took it from another table . All in all not a very good experience !!

The pizza was delicious. Fresh ingredients, and an amazing crust. The Alfagato to finish was incredible.

We went for a valentines meal and it was lovely! Food was great, atmosphere was cosy and relaxed, and the staff were bubbly and friendly. Big shout out to Isabelle who took care of us for the evening and couldn’t do enough for us. We can’t wait to go back next time we are in the area.

We walked in for a dinner. The No Logo pale ale and Pinot Grigio went well with the Burrata artichoke and sun-dried tomato starter from the specials board. I had the " No.7" - spicey salami with extra porcini mushrooms. It was really well served,cooked and filling. The vegetarian pizza with mozzarella and stilton from the specials board was terrific too. The tiramisu to share was fresh and light, and limoncello finish was a nice touch from the manager. The staff were really attentive, professional and without being intrusive. This is the best pizza in Stortford. You simply have to eat here!

Had a great time with friends for dinner over at Franco Manca Bishop's Stortford. The Sourdough Pizza was excellent, the atmosphere was relaxed welcoming and homey. We were served by Daniele, a lovely host who made some very good recommendations. Overall a great place to go for a meal. Strongly recommended 👌

I have been trying to explain to my kids that the pizza you get from the commercial pizza joints is not what pizza is - I have been to Italy and when you come back here and find yourself eating pizza from one of these mainstream commercial joints, some of which don't even have a proper wood fired pizza oven is soul destroying. I twisted my daughter's arm and got her to join me for lunch at Franco Manca in Stortford when it opened up. Her world changed and she came home and told her mum and baby sister that they have never had a proper pizza before. We took the whole family the weekend after and they all agreed. The pizza is exactly like the pizzas i've enjoyed in Italy. The coffee is in a league of its own and their home made lemonade is alone is worth the trip to their restaurant. The staff are brilliant and very friendly. They are also very proud of their product. The one server brought our pizzas to our table and said "Here we go, the best pizza in town', with immense pride. The location is great, the restaurant is sparkling clean with a nice atmosphere and the perfect music. We have never gone to any other pizza place since. We come here for lunches, dinners and even birthday meals. It's a very special place.

Had a quick stop off for a bite to eat with my wife. We were seen to straight away by the waitress who was very attentive and seemed very cheerful. Ordered our pizza and within 10 minutes we were eating it. I would absolutely recomend a #7 Spicey salami, toms, caramelised red onion and mozzarella. Delishous! Thank you very much.

We ordered a takeaway but we went in as we have a few food intolerances as wanted to make sure it was ok. We were served by Tilly who was so helpful and friendly, she made it a very lovely and easy experience. The pizzas were very tasty, a few minor changes we would make next time as it was our first time eating from here, but because of the service we will 100% eat in rather than get a takeaway. We also got some wine while we waited which came in a glass beaker which was odd but fun, I hadn’t finished mine by the time the pizza was ready so Tilly very kindly put it in a empty bottle for me to take home😅 Tilly is the best

Early evening family meal with our children and grandchildren. Great atmosphere, staff attentive, great food and friendly atmosphere. As we left the it was obvious that the clientele was more of couples out for the evening and they were comfortable in the restaurant. Good pizzas and great service. We’ll be back.

Went there with my partner just as they opened, gave us time to order, advised when asked, perfect balance between interaction and leaving us alone. Food was amazing! Service outstanding and the host, just perfect! Fantastic humour but did not over do it! 10/10 I would recommend and go back!

Enjoyed a quick late lunch here today. If you come here you know what you’re getting. Great variety of starters and pizzas, decent selection of drinks at reasonable prices, and friendly service. Food was freshly prepared and came pipping hot, and was as expected. It was quite busy when we went (2ish on Saturday afternoon) and they only had two members of staff serving so it did get a it hectic. They remained friendly and courteous though.

Franco Manca by far is the best , i have visited the place twice and this restaurant is superb example of a traditional Italian restaurant. Beautiful atmosphere, good service, and best pizza ever.

Delivered pizza was rubbery and wasn't even cut. The taste was ok, so maybe one day I will try to eat in the restaurant.

I always order for delivery never had any problems. Such a great restaurant, great food and quick delivery.

Lovely staff, good service and delicious food. It’s in an old building do not easily accessible. We carried our disabled daughter up the stairs but an older person in a wheelchair wouldn’t be able to get in easily. Still, I’m glad we went because of the service and food. We have to understand that old buildings cannot always be made accessible.
