We have always had delivery from this branch never have any issues the staff ate always helpful polite and friendly when talking to staff on phone and who delivers the pizza Every time our pizzas arrives pipping hot so I can't unstand some of the negative comments on here Great work guys as per usual

First time trying a Papa John's and was a mixed experience. I ordered a deal for 2 x pizzas, 1 x garlic bread side, 1 chicken side and a bottle of pepsi. The order took around thirty minutes to arrive so very good service on that side. The pizzas were okay, plenty of toppings and flavour. Some of the meats were a bit fatty tasting and too much BBQ sauce used on one pizza. The cheesy garlic bread pizza was nice. The chicken nugget type side was disgusting, a few of the nuggets had a very hard chewy texture which was enough to put everyone off having any more. The bottle of Pepsi Max turned out to be Pepsi Max Cherry. I queried this with the driver and he told me that they were out of Pepsi Max. Obviously not the driver's fault, have to wonder why the shop allow orders of Pepsi Max if they have no stock. Cherry Pepsi is an acquired taste, so that went down the sink. Would I order from Papa John's again? Unlikely. Pizzas were fine, but the quality of the chicken side and the intentionally wrong Pepsi put me off ordering again.

order never arrived. the restaurant accepted our order and 10 minutes after the estimated delivery time on our order it started saying "enjoy your food" when it was never here and every attempt to call the restaurant was useless cause they never replied.

I was notified about the order leaving the restaurant 30mins before I received and it’s only at 18 minute drive to my home! Food was cold not even warm so was very disappointing as I had always ordered from Papa John’s on a weekly basis when i resided in London! I’m not sure I will order again but would prefer to go direct and collect rather than through just eat based on this experience. Would be greatful if I can have some feedback here

Ordered a pizza at 6.20, by 8.30 the food has still not arrived and I am unable to get through the the resteraunt as they are not answering the phone. Do not order from here.

It was meant to be here between 18:05 and 18:25 and it arrived at 18:52 and our food is cold.

Received completely the wrong food.... Ordered a medium pizza with All the meats. And somehow received a small pepperoni... Not happy as this cost me over £20

The cookie is absolutely awful, absolutely no taste of chocolate despite there appearing to be chocolate chips on the overly-buttered dough. Please, please save yourself the money and do not order the cookie!

Food took 2 hours to arrive. Food was stone cold. Tried ringing the store and finally got through after 1 hour. Was told manager will ring me and surprise surprise! No call back. Not even an apology from the delivery driver! Do not buy from them! I’ll be popping down there tomorrow to get my money back.

The food arrived in good time, but it was disgustingly disappointing. The dough was barely cooked in the centre, toppings like an after thought. Sadly inedible, and we resorted to the emergency microwave meals from the freezer. It's the second time in a row we've had a dodgy pizza from Papa John's so won't be ordering again.

Pizza took about an hour to arrive which wouldn’t have been an issue as it was a busy Saturday night - however everything was cold and undercooked. Very doughy and chewy with sporadic toppings. Some slices had a few toppings while others had none - basically just a slice of bread with a bit of cold tomato sauce. It was our first time trying the pizza here but would recommend dozens of other places in Stortford which are much better quality.

Ordered food online, waited an hour and turned up cold. They did offer a replacement but was told 30 - 40 minutes by then it would have been 20:30 at least. No refund offered but a free pizza on next order, only thing is I barely order takeout

Ordered 18 XL pizzas for a party and these guys were great. Pizza was lovely, was delivered on time and they kept me up to date with the order. Would definitely recommend.

Never received order. They were available to order in Just Eat when they weren’t even open, phoned the next morning and they didn’t seem to care and said had to ring head office. I don’t know if this is the fault of Just Eat or Papa Johns, but I would probably check on Google if they’re actually open before ordering - or call to order. I probably won’t use them again.

I can’t explain how rude the staff are at this place we’ve called three times to get food delivered, the guy answering the phone doesn’t Evan want to take orders, order online it’s cheaper I’ve explained I don’t mind paying extra but he doesn’t want to do his job.

Cold, every single time. More than £50 and it arrives cold and looking like it's just come out of a food processor. Disgraceful.

This was my second time ordering pizzas from Papa John’s online. I took advantage of the 241 offer on Tuesdays. Bargain! I wanted to have one of the pizzas as a half/half. One half Hawaiian and one half without the pineapple. I couldn’t see how to select that option while placing the order on line. Once I’ve placed my order, I called the shop and asked for one of the pizzas to be half/half. They were very friendly and accommodating. The pizzas arrived about 30min after I placed the order and was still plenty warm enough. The delivery girl, Nadja, was very friendly - delivered our pizzas with a smile 😊 I would highly recommend Papa John’s. Thanks guys!

Very rude employees. They try to charge more, despite a lower price written on menu. Also when they make mistakes by typing the wrong toppings in the computer, they will blame the customer for their mistakes. When I arrived home and seen the wrong topping on the pizza and contacted the store, the manager had told me that " he will sort it out next time". So if you cannot eat the pizza with the wrong toppings or if you have an allergy, you are forced to eat it or throw it away as you won't get a replacement for their mistakes. The funny thing when I ask the manger that he made a mistake by adding onions instead of olives he placed the blame on me and told me to complain in a very rude way.

Really late delivery again. Food was pretty cold. Asked for update and got no reply. Pizza at least tasted good after warming up but I won't be bothering again.

45minute ETA. After 90 minutes we called and they hadnt started cooking it. Hung up on us three times before agreeing to a refund. Very rude.

Terrible customer service from the gentleman on the phone at the Bishops Stortford Branch. Hung up on us 3 times, spoke to us very rudely and refused to give us his name or managers name. Avoid at all costs!

The worst place ever the guy on the phone has lied to me for over 2 an a half hours! I collected a wrong order an awful food chicken completely under down an then I called an he took my name address number and said driver will come to mine with correct an cooked properly food. Then a hour went by so I called back an the guy on the phone said the driver will be 15 mins maximum then another hour went by an I called back an he said we no they aren’t coming an said to me come back to shop instead so I have been waiting for 2 an half hours for no reason at all I’m so shocked an disgusted it’s now 10 to 10 an I called them originally at 7:15 when they told me they would send someone straight to me. Please don’t go here you will be so disappointed a bunch of useless cooks an liars

Ordered 3 pizza and 3 sides. Got 1 pizza and 2 sides. Eventually got the rest of the order after calling up and complaining. Even when it did all arrive it was cold.

Usually best pizza in town it looks however that if you order using points you get completely different standard food, burned garlic bread and lucking of ingredients open pizza instead of tasty Papadias. When called was told that next time they do better, very poor customer service. I would expect quick replacement straight away as you never sure if they will be next time after that experience.

We ordered a vegan the works, but received a meat pizza in the box labelled vegan. We ate some trusting it was vegan. I had not eaten meat in years. Called to complain and the manager said "I don't care". What a disgraceful was torrent customers

Tried to order online and via app and I was constantly told the store was closed…. this was on a Tuesday between 3.30pm and 6pm. Not the first time I’ve had an issue with them. In fact I was only using them to cash in a free pizza from when I last complained to their customer services. Avoid them

8 years buying from this shop and this pizza is always great, i tried other papa jhons around london and they are way less tastier than this one, my fa papa jhons pizza ever, so tasty and full of ingredients, please keep up with the good work.

I ordered too late but the delivery driver took it upon himself to make and deliver the food on his journey home instead of cancelling. Extremely polite. Food was AMAZING especially after a pretty bad day for myself he really pulled it out the bag! 100% recommend! Extremely impressed

If I could give no stars I would the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered my pizza at 4.30 and was giving a time slot of 5.10 -5.30 at 5.35 the just eat app showed the pizza as delivered but no pizza had arrived.I phoned the restaurant and was told my pizza was on its way and had left 5 mins ago after another 10 mins and no sighn of the pizza I phoned the restaurant again this time no answer this was the case for the next half hour.so I made the decision to phone another pizza company I eventually got through to someone at 6.15 and was told my pizza was on its way I told them I did not want my pizza and would like a refund I was told this is not possible unless I come to the shop I then drove to the shop and was told I could not get a refund there either what a joke I never had a pizza or a refund and to be honest I’m glad my pizza never arrived as the restaurant looked dirty and very unorganised please do not order anything from this place they are complete crooks

Terrible half an hour over time called up said it is on its way half an hour later call them no answer 20 min later they answer ask for a refund they say no Oder other food go to the restaurant they say no refund so we need to go and talk to head office

Bit shocked, received an incorrect order which was quite similar 3 sides the same, Same drink so didn’t notice at the start. Ate some of it then realised it had more than I ordered, pizzas were all wrong and it was pretty cold so thought I would complain and get my actual order. Employee on the phone did not apologise and said he would collect the order and give me my original one then hung up. I explained some had been nibbled as was quite concerned they were actually going to deliver this order to the poor people that originally ordered during a pandemic. They guy came and swapped some time later, when he noticed that some had been eaten knocked door again and asked to swap the sides back over so they had the non started ones confirming to me that they would in fact deliver this freezing cold contaminated order still. Food hygiene standards completely out the window. Mine was now even colder however so called again to either ask for a refund or to actually get hot food, the man on the phone was now even ruder wouldn’t refund and was trying to give me some discount as if I would be going back. He actually told me that it didn’t cost that much money so I should put up with it. So In end we asked for hot food which he said would take 45 mins to an hour and then he hung up on me. An hour and 20 later my girlfriend called to check where it was. He then proceeded to state that we asked for a discount on our account and that we will not be getting any food. Complete lies. He proceeded to state that he cannot send the food as was busy. Am quite hungry now as have barely touched the cold original order (which I'm still concerned they might collect and distribute to another customer) and have had to wait about 3-4 hours for a couple of pizzas and sides and still waiting...

My friend recommended Papa Johns and honestly kids love. Nice pizza and sides. Used twice myself, lots with my friend, prefer to other pizza takeaways. No delivery charge , quick and friendly service. Thanks guys 😃

Papa johns is by far the best pizza, the sauce is excellent and the toppings are really tasty. Deliveries are always prompt and the pizza still piping hot, and the staff are always very pleasant. This is a takeaway or delivery restaurant.

Poorly run , manager got my order wrong on multiple occasions, when I told them the manager said he couldn’t do anything about it , the terms and conditions said different. When I addressed there mistake he called me a “motherf*cker”. Definitely Wouldn’t recommend ordering from this store

if you want to be shouted at, have people on the end of the line who cannot understand a word you say, and generally treat you like the vermin that probably inhabits their kitchen, this is the place for you.

The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the pizza tasted OK after I reheated it in the oven. It took over an hour to arrive and it was cold. I only live about 500 metres away from the store. Never again.

Poor customer service. Claimed food was delivered when it wasn't. Then when phone up claimed they have no time to update the tracker. Clearly the classed it as delivered on purpose for statistical purposed. Called them up again and the guy over the phone asked if I had a job?! Weird. And basically told me the customer is not always right. When I told him I was recording the conversation, he hung up promptly. Was a fan of you all but maybe I will just stick to Dominoes! lol

Driver was top quality! He was super friendly. Food was great and between ordering and delivery was super quick even though I live just outside town.

Absolute disgrace. Food was fine but customer service is a jk. The 'manager' couldn't have been more rude.

Food was delivered without a drink and the driver said he would be right back. An hour later (22:00) the drink still had not arrived. I rang Papa Johns to ask for a refund instead, and was told I couldn't get a refund as it was part of a meal deal and I was hung up on. I rang them back and was told they would send the driver with £1.65 so I asked if they could refund onto my card, since the whole point of the refund was that I was off to bed and didn't want to answer the door. From here on, the employee refused to let me explain and spoke over me, told me I couldn't be refunded in card, asked was I "crazy or not?" And advised me that I was "pissing him off"...he then refused to refund me at all and hung up on me. I will never ever again order from this branch, and the staff need to get some serious training in customer service. Appalling!!!!

Customer service is appalling. Food is great, pizza was cooked well and no complaints there. Shame the staff talk to their clients aggressively and make the whole experience hostile.

Just deliberately overcharged me (I know it was deliberately as it was right after agreeing the correct price). Staff were rude. Food was okay, not great. Definitely don't recommend.

After waiting over an hour although when I tracked the delivery it took 30 minutes to be delivered then the driver arrived speaking on his mobile while I'm standing waiting on my doorstep for my food!! I called the store to speak to a manger whom was as rude as the driver food wasn't that hot highly disappointed will never order from them again
