The best restaurants in Brentwood South Brentwood East of England

We have been very regular takeaway customers for 8 years but sadly this will be our last order. For the last three times we have ordered via the website, paid with order confirmed online it has not turned up. Had to phone and then place order again so food turned up super late. This time order received was not quite correct and as compensation we had an extra pilau rice to go the mushroom rice we had ordered!! 🤬

Please don’t waste your money on inedible food. Ordered a crepe via uber eats and it was cardboard I think it had been cooked in the morning or maybe a day or so old.

We have just had a lovely meal here. We rarely have carvery but really enjoyed our meal - two carvery and one vegetarian pie. The meat was beautifully carved and vegetables freshly topped up. Service was excellent. We arrived a bit late but the duty manager soon sorted a table in a quiet area. Without doubt, the highlight of our visit was the outstanding service by Darcy. Service is such an important part of dining out and Darcy is an asset to Toby Carvery

Go in Neros for a coffee a couple of times every week, I have a small 2kg Pomeranian which will only sit on my lap as he is a very timid dog and frightened of other dogs, I was told by one of the staff for the first time that my dog had to go on the floor, there was a big dog opposite me so didn’t want to put my dog on the floor as this would have freaked him out, the lady was very rude, we had to leave and quite frankly won’t ever go in there again!!!!!!! Shame on u Neros u have lost me and all my family as customers!!!!

Such a disappointing visit. Kids running around in the bar, throwing balls. These parents leave food all over the floor & one changed the child’s nappy at the table. These parents are clearly of the thoughts ‘out of sight out of mind’. I know not all parents are like this & indeed some families where sat down having a lovely family time. I have brought up an autistic child & believe me I understand about bad behaviour, but this was like a kids playground. No respect for the surroundings and of others diners. Shame Wetherspoons do not have a stricter policy on this.

The tea was a bit weak. It wasn't busy about 4pm but the bin was full and the semi-milk jug was almost empty (enough for 2 or 3 more cup of tea). There was some rubbish on one table outside area. The rubbish was left there for the duration of my time there 30mins+

I visited Rooster Piri Piri with my mum, excited to try it as it looked so good. However, when I saw the menu, I was shocked by the high prices, which didn’t seem worth it at all. After trying the food, I ended up with a stomach ache the next day. The food was flavorless, and the chicken burger I ordered turned out to be a disappointment—a mini chicken wing with a bone was thrown into the burger. I ordered extra hot chicken, but it wasn’t hot at all; it was bland. I felt sick and couldn’t finish my food, eventually having to throw it away. I will never order from here again and do not recommend it to anyone. If you want grilled chicken, go elsewhere.

Visit on a Sunday with my wife and 2 grown up boys. Whilst waiting and waiting, I noticed the menu stated 500 ml’s fizzy drinks were £2. However in the fridge the soft drinks were all 330 ml’s. I told the lady who was serving and she went to the kitchen, came back with a cloth and scrubbed the 500 ml’s out to leave Fizzy Drinks £2. Absolutely outrageous. My son had a piri piri chicken wrap and threw it away as it was so bad. They forgot the chips and I had to remind them twice. A complete shambles. Food and service at Hainault is nicer, cheaper and better.

TERRIBLE!!We waited an hour/half for our food, phoned up and they blamed uber eats for not getting it to us. Never order!
