The best restaurants in Witham Chipping Hill and Central Braintree East of England

Our second visit here. It's a 2 hour drive from home but well worth it. We had the smoked chicken, chicken satay and prawn toast starters, and the kung po chicken and chicken laksa lo mein (which my fiancée had last time, but she asked them to tone down the spice). Food was excellent, service was wonderful and the price is very reasonable. We have eaten at dozens of Chinese restaurants and AKA is in our Top 3 (along with Hak's in Harrogate and E&O in Chobham).

Amazing food and service. Everything went really well. Chicken tikka dansak top notch. All our party said their food was delicious. Spotlessly clean, friendly and welcoming.

Best pie and mash in Essex We’re from east london, so we know our pie and mash!!! We always do takeaway and it reheats perfect.

Found this place couple months ago and it’s now the go to place. I only eat from 2 other places in witham but this is my go to place for good value for money

Don't waste your money bad service cold and small portions and you wait a long to for the food aswell which comes out in the wrong order

Food is reasonably good . They appear nice and friendly. However, when you dig behind this place, they are out to convert the weak and vulnerable. They are LGBTQIA friendly. There are no female padtors. A patriarchal dump run by men for men and women are door mats. Don't go there.

Used to go a lot. Prices have sky rocketed since it first opened so my visits have been less regular. Attended earlier in the year, and the meal was ruined by fellow dinners, family of 6 sat in the middle of the restaurant. Great parenting displayed by giving their child an ipad, on full volume for the whole restaurant to hear. Im not against kids in restaurants, and fully expect noise and tears, but the sound of peppa pig mixed with the ambient restaurant music is unbearable, and inconsiderate. I bought this to the attention of the staff, but nothing was done. I only paid half price, by refusing to pay full, not because it was offered. Returned last night, and same again, only this time adults, firstly playing videos loud on their phone, then finished their meal and made a video call. Again, staff did nothing. Ive seen a better class of dinner in mcdonalds. People that inconsiderate should be asked to leave, especially in a restaurant charging what they charge. If its loyd enough for me to notice, then the staff can hear it

Most authentic tapas I've had outside of Spain! Fab menu, tasty dishes & friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend.

I happened to come upon this bar by chance. Iv very happy I did. It was an amazing experience. The staff and the service was great. The setting and the environment was amazing. If you are ever around Witham/Maldon, I would recommend checking the place out.

Lovely breakfast, warm and friendly

We were delighted with this place, it is small inside there are tables outside they even provide blankets, the breakfast was amazing my husband had the big breakfast and I had the mini breakfast it was absolutely gorgeous, lovely and hot. It was our wedding anniversary so we celebrated it with a wonderful cooked breakfast and we even bought some gorgeous cakes home with us the staff are very friendly and welcoming. We would highly recommend this place.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. The staff here are great My partner and I both noticed that the portion sizes of the sides were disappointingly small. The burger I ordered came with a teaspoon of coleslaw and a scent number of chips. Noticeable decline over the years.

I went to this place for Saturday dinner with friend. Stars are unfriendly, playing their mobile phone most the time. Food nothing special, prices are extremely special high. Not recommended at all
