I discovered Carrie's Kitchen whilst at the adjacent Wheatsheaf pub. I noticed a customer coming out with a delightful looking cake and couldn't help wandering to see what was on offer. The range of sweet treats on offer changes from week to week and never fails to delight. The two ladies here are always very happy and friendly and always willing to go out of their way to make sure us customers have a great experience! I genuinely cannot recommend Carrie's Kitchen enough.

I first visited Ds diner as a suggestion from a friend for a local diner with breakfast food. First time round, I felt a warm atmosphere, indescribable, my spark began over the really amazing tiger bread egg and bacon baguette, which was outstanding for the price, 2 big filled baguettes. Second time round, the spark wasn’t as exciting, with service being slower and less welcoming. Foods a solid highlight however, with amazing portions for amazing prices.

Often visit after dropping our caravan off at the nearby storage facility. Food is cooked to order. I highly recommend the lambs liver and bacon. And if you are lucky, in the summer months, they often have delicious, home made fresh traditional trifle as a dessert special. Friendly and attentive staff.

Met with friends for a relaxed and wonderful meal. Enjoyed an extensive and ‘spoiled for choice ‘ menu with fish, vegetarian and special chef options. Service was both friendly and attentive but not intrusive. One of our favourite places to go and this meal was one of the highest quality.

Sunday Roast was absolutely diabolical. 90% of food on the plate was cold, don’t think the potatoes ever saw the inside of the oven they looked anemic, parsnips hadn’t seen the oven either, cauliflower cheese looked like the ‘chef’ has just poured a dash of white sauce (no cheese flavour at all) over the top of some cold cauliflower. Very, VERY disappointed. Left most on the plate, I should of complained there and then (my biggest regret), was going to get a desert to cheer myself up but didn’t want to hand over any more of my hard earned money! I couldn’t wait to leave. I got a desert over the road in the Co-op! Service was much to be desired too, very miserable women, blunt, no smiles, not welcoming. (Have been to this pub during the week to eat and couldn’t fault the food or staff-but this experience has made me think twice about eating here again and yes I am very angry at myself I didn’t complain whilst we was in there!)
