The best restaurants in Isaac Newton South Kesteven East Midlands

Didn't really expect much. Expected typical pub food - warmed up frozen meals perhaps. How wrong was I? The food was stunning. I had the Stilton mushrooms and my husband had the chicken liver pate. Amazing! Then I had the cod, chips and mushy peas - freshly cooked, fresh crunchy batter - really light and flavoursome. My husband had the melt-in-the-mouth "Drunken Bullock" with a cut of beef we'd never heard of before but can't wait to try again: Featherblade. I shall be looking for a recipe to make this dish at home. The atmosphere was lovely. Staff were really pleasant and welcoming. I only wish this was my local so we could visit regularly. We were so full - pleasantly so - that we couldn't even manage a dessert which is unheard of for us! What a fabulous way to start our weekend visit to Lincolnshire.

Good food, very good facilities and nice staff. One of the better truck stops...... and there are many ..... this is actually in my top five in the UK.

Everyone friendly, and welcoming. Excellent choice of food and drink. Delicious food and very good value for money. Comfotable furniture in a relaxed atmosphere. They go above and beyond, highly recommend

Terrible....Just about sums it up. Dont waste you money. We went as a family and ordered 3 burgers and a Swiss cheese sandwich. When the refillable drinks came, 1 had some black blob nasty floating in it. We had to get up to tell them. We also had to get up twice to asked to be refilled as the staff just didnt care. The cheese sandwich was awful (see the picture of left overs) tiny welded lump of cheese and a slice of tomato, no butter and some lettuce! It was all cheap grilled bread. The chips were luke warm and were left. All the burgers were only half eaten as they were fatty. The toilets smell of stables and have a strange stink. The condiments and sauces were filthy. I had to ask (by getting up) for a new fork as the person before me still had their food attached! When it came to paying, I think it was about £74 as we had 1 milk shake too, I complained to the waitress (when she eventually arrived after being called over yet again) who shrugged and still charged the same. We will never eat here again!

We visited for Sunday lunch. Excellent, well presented Sunday roast with desert, good sized portion and very friendly staff. Good beer too. Couldn't fault it and we will be going back. One thing, its not in Grantham its in the village of Skillington near Grantham.

Place is filthy. Reason given by management was they were busy as they had a wedding. Nah the dirt was not 24 hours old it looked like someone had thrown up on the side of the bed. And I had booked a so called suite Would NOT recommend to anyone

Was awful wouldn't suggest going through drive thru as slow and there was 2 other cars so not busy, car park was not even half full, food cold and missing items. But the employee at the first window was polite

Food was absolutely stone cold. We both threw it in the bin as it was so horrible. Very poor service, food should be at least warm.
