A friend bought us a set of meals from this enthusiastic maker of Indian foods. We have just bought a second box of meals that was even better than the first. They have just teamed up with Sajeev Nair, a Michelin starred chef, to create three new meals that extend their already good range. My favourite was the prawn Moilee which is a creamy mild sauce with curry leaves and prawns. The chicken Malabar has a MUCH stronger flavour that tastes of ginger and is medium spicy. The vegetable korma is delightful having lots of interesting vegetables in a mild but not bland sauce. I am usually NOT a fan of chicken tikka but this WILL be ordered again - the flavours are brilliant! We are now looking forward to ordering more of our favourites and samosas as well as their breads in the next order. That you can order at 2pm on Friday and get your expertly chilled treasure box on Saturday morning is so impressive. (Well done DPD!) And the price including delivery is really good compared to your local takeaway. We paid just over £25 for enough to give two people two generous meals.

Ordered online went to pick it up was told order was never received showed them a snapshot of the order confirmation, and the payment made on my bank statement . they need to improve their website and get orders right as when we got home the curries we order weren't what we got.

DO NOT GO! Me and my friends went for dinner here on a Saturday evening after seeing it had won the curry award for 2024. We have been to a few other bar/grill Indian restaurants and thought this would become our new favourite but boy was I wrong. When we first arrived we were put in a separate area to the other diners and our table was a plastic picnic table covered with a very thin green tablecloth. The waiter was a lovely man, very happy and tended to our needs. I cannot fault the service. The food however was a different story, we had ordered a variety of dishes including a royal sizzler, chilli paneer, chicken lollipops and a Lamb machuzi curry. The Royal sizzler was big and you did get a lot of food however the sizzler itself wasn’t like the photos online. It was very saucy but all you could taste were raw and bitter spices. The chicken was overcooked and there was hardly any lamb on the chops but overall it just tasted bad. The chilli paneer was dreadful, the paneer itself was very small chunks that tasted boiled and it was served in a very dark tamarind colour sauce and it just wasn’t nice. The chicken lollipops were the best thing we ate that night but even they were very underwhelming. There wasn’t any flavour at all, wasn’t spicy or sweet or salty; They were very bland. The lamb Machuzi curry was a massive let down, the colour was so dark and it was just full of big pieces of star anise l. Really wasn’t a good flavour. The only saving grace was the texture of the lamb, it was soft and very nice but put it in a dark bland sauce; not good. In conclusion me and my friends really didn’t enjoy any single piece of food that left the kitchen. Considering they won this award for the best curry I was shocked. The food was very expensive compared to similar restaurants around the area. To pay that amount of money for the bad quality of food was really upsetting. To anyone reading this review, I would recommend either Three kilns or The Broadway. Either of them are in a different realm to the food that I was served here and very cheap in comparison to Royals Leicester. Will not be returning in this eternity.

Went for a family meal with a toddler. We ordered the both the chicken and veggie momos and crispy aubergine, which was lovely, to start. The momos were water logged and not really what I would call monos but chicken kebabs in momo wraps. The mains were ridiculously chilli. To the point where all 4 adults were unable to eat much of the food. My dad eats green chilli's with every meal and even he found the food chilli. We ordered the chicken, lamb pots and aa veg biriyani, which was also ridiculously spicey. We ordered mild veg rice which the veg was burnt. Such a shame that the food was inedible.
