Gurkha Curry in Leicester

Went for a family meal with a toddler. We ordered the both the chicken and veggie momos and crispy aubergine, which was lovely, to start. The momos were water logged and not really what I would call monos but chicken kebabs in momo wraps. The mains were ridiculously chilli. To the point where all 4 adults were unable to eat much of the food. My dad eats green chilli's with every meal and even he found the food chilli. We ordered the chicken, lamb pots and aa veg biriyani, which was also ridiculously spicey. We ordered mild veg rice which the veg was burnt. Such a shame that the food was inedible.

Yesterday, I went to Gurkha Curry. The manager's customer service is worst I've ever seen. I will never visit Gurkha Curry because the customer service was worst.

We have been going.here to eat for a long time and never had any issues till tonight, the service was rubbish, the food was either too salty and tasteless. Even the new manager in place today had no customer service skills what so ever. Please avoid this place, great for drinks but NO more for food, time to find a new place.

Such an amazing experience with the south Asian food and ambience, this was the first restaurant i visited right after visiting UK, with friends and family we still recall the memories and great food. Must visit for Indians. 😍

excellent day out. Brilliant beer like it should be and probably cheapest in leicester! The food is very authentic and tasty. It is always busy. It has now become my regular. Best to book a table especially at weekends.

I dined at Gurkha Curry with a colleague from work. The ambiance was excellent, and the cuisine was truly exceptional, among the finest I've ever experienced. Manisha, our server, exhibited outstanding professionalism and expertise in her service.

Food is top notch especially lamb chops, lollypop chicken and on the bone Chicken biryani. Staff are really good too. Must visit!

Great (vegan) food (as I am a vegan myself) and friendly, helpful service. Had a lovely meal at Gurkha curry tonight, tried a selection of their most popular vegan dishes, as recommended by Hari and Bipin, and they were all delicious! Requested some dishes to be mild, I understand base gravies/sauces are pre made but my dishes tasted as though additional chillies were added. Zero effort was made to cater for a customer's needs. Service good over the phone so no complaints on that side

All the staff especially the head waiter are amazing. Most welcoming bunch of people you'll ever meet. The food is also my favourite Indian in Leicester. 10/10

Great mains, mild with no chilli children's portion still had too much spice. Chilli chips best I have tasted. Veg sides and man's very nice. 30 April I ordered a no chilli dish for toddler, medium for me spicy for wife. They were all spicy only my wife could eat it. I emphasize no chilli at all. Now stuck waiting for a Chinese. Last time it said apologies. Clearly not ment. My son would be very I'll if he ate this. I will not go there again Kam 30 April

Went for a casual pint , saw they served food when the waiter was taking it for serving, it looked so good we ended up eating there. Was really amazed by the food, mouth watering taste, really nice service, staff is exceptionally welcoming and friendly which makes a huge difference. Would highly recommend anyone who is looking to eat out in Leicester. Not surprised each review is five star! You guys deserve it. Will definitely come again, keep up the good work.

Had a family meal for 25 people on Good Sunday. The service received was refreshing as its rare for this type of establishment to normally understand what hospitality is(especially given it was a Bank Holiday) . Hari had set out a number of dishes on a set menu, which all went down a treat. If your looking for a great overall experience we're both the food and service are way above par, look no further

No need to look any further than this place for Indian and Nepalese Cuisine. Both in the restaurant and takeout. The restaurant is friendly and the staff are warm and helpful. They make you feel special to be there. The food is excellent. No more words for it. Best Indian Cuisine I have visited as well as portions being big. If I was to suggest a place to go. It would be here. 5*
