Fantastic place food was top draw

I am leaving this review as my grandma has explicitly told me to leave it as she was very impressed by the food we got and the staff’s service! We usually eat in and today we got a takeaway and there was a bit of a hiccup but the team rectified it swiftly. Great food as per usual, top Indian restaurant in Leic - I travelled from London to visit!

Although a small restraunt, it's very cosy and comfortable, plenty of choices from menu and food is very tasty 😋

Went here for dinner on a Saturday night, I didn't book ahead but luckily they had a table for two. The place itself is a converted house, downstairs is the bar and upstairs is the restaurant. It's nothing fancy but don't let that put you off, the food is fresh and tasty. We had the crispy aubergine, veg bhuna and soya kheema with some roti and rice. The food came out piping hot and was well presented. It all tasted good too! They have a good selection of drinks and overall I thought it was reasonably priced. The only thing I found odd was there was a big screen showing football in the dining area like it was a sports bar, however, I'd happily return.

Unfortunately we got ill from the lamb chops or chicken wings and simple instructions were not met ie ... lamb curry turned up as chicken and starters came out when requested all food to come together . Nice people but bad experience .

Fantastic, cannot fault or say enough nice things about this place. Service was fantastic, everything ran like clockwork, staff are lovely and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant is small but busy but without the feeling of packing too many people in to the space, lovely atmosphere. We had special request for a keema biryani which wasn't on the menu, this was no trouble. The food was delicious and had a lovely evening. Can't wait to go back. Thank you, keep doing what you are doing, I cannot recommend highly enough. Your staff are fantastic! :)

Amazing food. Crispy paneer and mushrooms starter is a must! 3 starters between 4 of us was more than enough after poppadoms. Again, with the mains, 3 was enough with shared rice and naan - we even brought some food home! The online reservation system worked well - I received a text to confirm the booking. We will continue to visit, as we love it!

Been a few times now and every time everything has been amazing. Food is exceptional. Kebab rolls, lamb chops, chilli lamb, chicken. Too much to list. Very friendly staff. Clean and very affordable

Personally didn't rate any of the curries I tried and there were 14 of us eating. Took a long time to come out aswell. Considering I'd heard good things was very disappointed

First time here and the food was great staff very friendly

The food was brilliant. For starters i ordered lamb mini kebab rolls and carmos chicken. For mains I ordered butter chicken with garlic chilli nan and the spice levels were spot on (I ordered medium spice for everything). Good portion sizes and good service, would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a authentic Indian dining experience. 5*

What a fantastic place for authentic Indian food, service is outstanding and atmosphere is great! Staff are very friendly and Manager went out of his way for us to accommodate the large group! The manager is extremely rude and miserable does not know anything about customer service. Food is overpriced, small portions and nothing impressive. Not a nice experience and certainly one to be avoided.

We booked this restaurant on recommendation as a few people we knew said they food was great. We were excited to try this place and booked for Mother’s Day. On arrival they did not have my booking even though I had confirmation text however the staff were accommodating and sorted this out for us. The service was very slow just had one waiter on our floor and to order drinks took half hour we ordered the kids food first as soon as we arrived as they were hungry and this took over hour to come, at this point we didn’t even order our food so I was a bit apprehensive how long we would be waiting. Overall the food times were too long took ages, an hour for the kids & about 90 minutes for the adults. When the food arrived it was average best thing were the lamb chops but everything else awful. Kheema curry was watery, butter chicken was the worse was like baby food. Starters were ok but overall was very dissatisfied & paid £97 was not worth it at all! Sadly don’t think I’ll be back

Just had a lesson in how restaurants operate; Went with the family and some friends for an early Sunday dinner. Ordered food asked for mild paneer for my 6 year old came spicy when advised the waitress we were told well ‘I told the chef’ tried to send it back and Sheena said that’s how it comes. Then we ordered a selection of vegetarian and non veg food. My friend who has an allergy to fish said she tasted something odd the in the vegetarian food. Sheena went and confirmed that on occasion they fry prawns in the same oil as the vegetarian food. The food isn’t the best in Leicester; and the fact they think it’s ok to cook prawns in the same oil as the veg food isn’t great. So should you decide to go there tell them your vegetarian otherwise god knows what they cook your food in.

They cook the vegetarian food in the same oil as the fish and meat!! Do not go with any strict vegetarians. Terrible service. So much attitude!

One of the vegetarian startes tasted fishy- we asked as kne of the guests has an allergy to seafood and fish- we were told that Vegetarian food is deep fried in the same oil as prawns, so we were highly disappointed- based on current allergen and intolerances awareness you’d expect restaurants to follow- also that the vegetarian food should be vegetarian and not cross contaminated- without the customer having to question how the food is cooked before you order!! Alternatively, the restaurant should clearly state that food is cooked in the same oil as fish/ seafood! In general the group enjoyed the grilled Meat dishes, curries, the veg biryani and naans. Service was good until we requested an adjustment to the bill. We found that the management did not know how to deal with a complaint in a professional manner. We were given a small discount off the bill. Hopefully the restaurant will improve their practices in relation to the way they cook vegetarian food going forward.

Tonight our family had booked to eat here. We duly arrived at the appointed time of 7:00 - that was the only prompt time keeping observed all evening. The service was absolutely woeful. We were offered popadoms while we had a drink on arrival. I’m not sure if this is the norm here but we were brought 1 each and a very small selection of pickles. Then the empty plates sat there until the food came out, after we had stacked them ourselves. There was a long wait before someone came to take our food order. Taking the order- another half an hour, meantime the noise level from groups of people who seemed to have nipped in to watch the sport on the tv rose to the point we couldn’t hold a conversation between us, very unpleasant and unsociable when out for a family get together. 9:35 and I finally was served my food, mediocre and the byriani sauce that I had asked for mild was definitely NOT mild, almost inedible for me. Some of the party didn’t have cutlery and one of us did not get their meal. As we had been waiting 2 1/2 hours we had to start without her and when her order was rushed through it was barely warm. Also the plates for the mains were not heated and were stone cold, another first in an Indian restaurant! It was embarrassing for us, taking our family out here and having to keep apologising for everything that was lacking. I won’t be returning and I highly doubt that any of our family members will be either. The amount of food left at the end had to be seen to be believed which I believe tells it’s own story.

Very pleasant atmosphere in busy but comfortable surroundings. Food was exactly as ordered and both my wife and I enjoyed it thoroughly. We will need to visit again soon as there are so many tempting dishes on the menu.

This restaurant is now our most preferred place to eat. Staff are incredibly friendly and very accommodating, and they get our food order perfectly. The food (masala fish, the Garlic King Prawns, the Sizzlers, the Veg options are excellent and consistent every time. Being an Indian who is very particular about his food - The Little Club Bar and Grill has never let us down and always met our expectations. We eat here every week after our badminton night and also most Fridays and Saturday’s with family and friends.

Great place, which I hate to recommend in case I can't get in next time!

This genuinely is my favourite restaurant in Leicester! Food is always amazing and service on point. My favourites are the garlic chilli king prawns and the majoosi chicken curry. However would also recommend the crispy aubergine, chilli chicken/paneer, chinese chilli chips, kebab rolls etc. Don't think you can go wrong with anything you choose from the menu here!

Always top drawer food at this little place! Always best to call ahead of visit too, to ensure you're not disappointed at the door because business is good for them! Great, friendly owners and staff. Clean, fresh and quality for money! A definite recommendation from me! And my family!

'Nothing brings people together like good food' By far, a country (Australia) mile, my favourite Indian restaurant in Leicester. The food tastes soo soo sooo good. Anytime any one thinks of Indian food to eat out or takeaway I will always just this place. Try the crispy aubergine and tell me otherwise that this isn't the best restaurant in Leicester.

Nice refurbished restaurant upstairs. Friendly service. Nice beer. Very tasty and good portion food. Had mainly starters all really tasty. Had chicken tikka masala which was very tasty too for a mild dish. Good peas rice. And fantastic fluffy naan. Would definitely go back.

Few hiccups due to high demand on a weekend but management keep their cool and accommodate more than satisfactory expectations. Food is exceptionally better than their competitors (for a bar grill family atmosphere) service is great bar a few learning curves that need to be ironed out but on a night with a huge overbooking and not to dissapoint customers did their best to uphold their values without compromising their standards. Tried their best to exceed customer expectations and upholding their values hats off and well done 👏👏👍👊🏽

Don't let the exterior put you off! It is a small restaurant but has been recently refurbished so looks fresh and clean. Menu is good and offers all the traditional Indian meals. You can order your meals to different levels of spice, which was good. Service was quite slow initially but the restaurant was full with a large group sat near us who were very rowdy and loud which put us off. Once they had gone though things improved and the atmosphere was better. There was no rush in-between courses, the portions were large so it was helpful that we got to take our time. The food was very good value for money. If you want good Indian food without fuss and frills then this is the place to go.

Inconsistency with their service! During the lockdown, they got my delivery order wrong, after 15 months my family is out at the restaurant tonight, get my order wrong! Don't bother, poor service from the chef who can't read and get the order correctly cooked. Credit to the manger for sorting out. Shame the service is inconsistent, will I go back? NO!

Pre-booked, got a table early, so allowed us to have some pre-drinks and poppadoms. Great service and amazing food, tasty, nicely spiced, good portions and a thougourley enjoyable atmosphere to dine in. And price is very reasonable.

The food is 10 out of 10, for all the Indian curry lovers I would definitely recommend going without a doubt, the owners are very friendly and the service is perfect. My personal fav was the chilli panner

Easily the best Indian in Leicester. They never fail to deliver on quality and flavour. Highly recommend the veg sizzler, kebab rolls, chinese chilli chips and chilli paneer. Spice levels are spot on and portion sizes are generous. It’s become a family favourite and we've really enjoyed curry nights. We can’t wait to visit Little Club’s restaurant once it’s reopened!

So I have recently been ordering almost once a week from here over the past 2 months and I just cannot fault them. The food is honestly exquisite and they cater the food to my spice range. Ordered from here last night and the food was incredible! Normally when I get takeaways the food turns cold after it’s been delivered or soon as I get home! These guys made sure my food was piping hot so I could enjoy a hot meal! Here’s what I ordered: 1 x Lamb chops (5 per portion) 1 x Carmos Chicken 1 x Lamb keema (very decent size portion) 1 x Garlic naan 1 x Salad All food was 10/10 Highly recommend!!

Chicken 65 - really good Masala Chips - tasty and crispy! Lamb chops - tender and tasty Mini chicken rolls - good Mini lamb rolls - good Chilli garlic mushrooms - crispy but lacking flavour Chicken tikka masala - creamy and tender chicken pieces, full of flavour Paneer tikka masala - same as above Methi chicken kheema - disappointed, quite watery and bland Naan - considering it's an important part of the meal it was very disappointing, tasted like ready made naans purchased from supermarkets. Very dry texture. Overall quite satisfied!

Giving this place a 2* rating. I am very disappointed with the food even though I had high expectations. Do you usually make food this bland? I mean there wasn’t any spice whatsoever. Maybe give customers an option to have their food spicy? And a few things were cold by the time I got home. I live in Syston which is what about 10 minute drive? Didn’t expect the food to be cold. It’s a little annoying as we’ve had food from you before and the food was brilliant then.
